GENERAL
 
This meeting was conducted under the regulations of the QRIC Caring for Animals Extreme Heat Policy.
 
Race 1: THYNNE & MACARTNEY LAWYERS QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1000 M
 
BULLSEYE BANJO – Laid in over the concluding stages.
 
LORD KENNY – Began awkwardly.
 
YOU MIGHT THINK – Raced wide throughout. Laid in over the concluding stages causing apprentice Jockey L. Sykes to stop riding and straighten his mount.
 
BETHEHORSE – Began awkwardly. Raced wide throughout. Went wide when making the home turn.
 
CYBERWARS – Momentarily hung in when passing the 700 metres causing a tightening.
 
MARREW FANCY NANCY – Raced wide throughout.
 
ROCKBARTON RACER – Passing the 700 metres, became awkwardly placed between JUNGLEDELI and CYBERWARS, which momentarily hung in, causing ROCKBARTON RACER to be tightened and lose ground.
 
SPOT ON SOPHIA – Over-raced in the early and middle stages. Went wide when making the home turn.
 
MIMMY'S SECRET – Stewards accepted a late gear change for MIMMY’S SECRET to race in winkers.
 
Race 2: NIVERAK SMASH REPAIRS BM55 HANDICAP 1000 M
 
WISH I HAD – Bounded at the start and lost ground.
 
RUBY SPARKLES – Raced wide throughout. On returning to scale, apprentice Jockey S Nielson reported that RUBY SPARKLES was making a respiratory noise. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no obvious abnormalities.
 
SNIPILLICIOUS – Shifted out and bumped the hindquarters of CROWN REACH.
 
QUEENSLANDER – Raced wide throughout. Trainer J. Manzelmann was fined $100.00 for presenting QUEESLANDER to race with incorrect gear under the provisions of AR 106(1).
 
ROCKETING TO WIN – Raced wide throughout.
 
CROWN REACH – Bumped shortly after the start. Raced wide throughout. Laid in over the concluding stages.
 
Race 3: BENTLEYS CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS COUNTRY CUPS CHALLENGE QUALIFIER / CLONCURRY CUP OPEN HANDICAP 1600 M
 
VALLEY OF DREAMS – Raced wide throughout.

REMORSELESS – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
HERE HE LOOMS – Slow to begin. Laid in over the concluding stages.
 
LEGAL CHALLENGE – Slow into stride. Raced wide with cover throughout.
 
Race 4: WOODHAMS PETROLEUM BM50 HANDICAP 1400 M
 
REVVED UP READY – Bumped on jumping. Raced wide throughout. Hung in over the concluding stages.
 
GOLDEN EIGHTY – Shifted out at the start.
 
ENCROACHMENT – Hampered on jumping when FAR REACHING shifted in abruptly.
 
TUCK – Shifted out at the start.
 
THE LANDING – Raced wide throughout.
 
DISPUTE – Began awkwardly. Raced in restricted room for a short distance passing the 500 metres.  When questioned in regards to the riding tactics adopted in the event, apprentice Jockey L. Sykes, in the presence of senior Jockey M. Murphy, stated that the he was instructed to ride the horse where comfortable with cover and after occupying a position worse than midfield, DISPUTE resented the kickback and it was not until he eased the horse wider rounding the home turn to obtain clear running that the gelding extended and found the line well. Trainer T. Hall advised that he was comfortable with the tactics adopted and concurred with apprentice Sykes that the gelding resented the kickback throughout the event and was not travelling comfortably in the middle stages. The explanation of apprentice Jockey L. Sykes was noted.
 
MISHANI AVIATOR – Raced wide throughout. Hung in over the concluding stages.
 
FAR REACHING – Shifted in abruptly at the start hampering ENCORACHMENT which was taken onto REVVED UP READY. Raced wide throughout.
 
Race 5: HAULMARK TRAILERS COUNTRY STAMPEDE QUALIFIER OPEN HANDICAP 1000 M
 
KALASHNIKOV – Raced wide throughout.
 
RUBY JULY – Slow to begin.
 
GAMBOA – Reared on jumping and shifted out abruptly severely hampering LE WEASEL which was taken onto TRINITY MISSILE, which was then checked. Raced wide throughout.
 
EYEWITNESS – Stood flat-footed at the start, losing considerable ground. Given the mares poor record in relation to its barrier manners, Trainer J. Manzelmann was advised that EYEWITNESS would require two satisfactory trials or jumpouts prior to racing again.
 
JUST STOP IT – Raced wide throughout.
 
LE WEASEL – Severely hampered at the start by GAMBOA and was taken out onto TRINITY MISSILE. Raced wide throughout.
 
TRINITY MISSILE – Checked at the start.
 
PHILADELPHIA FREE – Raced wide throughout.
 
Race 6: BULL CREEK BEEF CLASS 6 HANDICAP 1200 M
 
THATFEELSBETTER – Reared at the start and lost considerable ground. Trainer J. Manzelmann was advised that THATFEELSBETTER would require a satisfactory trial or jumpout prior to racing again.
 
ENABLER – Very slow into stride.  
 
ONCHAO – Raced wide throughout.
 
BADGE – Raced wide throughout. On returning to scale, jockey J. Hoopert stated that his saddle shifted shortly after the start, placing him at a disadvantage. Jockey Hoopert further stated that his breast plate broke when his saddle shifted. He stated further he was unable to fully test his mount over the concluding stages as a consequence.
 
CLOGS – Raced wide throughout.
 
SHARPAY RULER – Raced wide throughout. Ran extremely wide when making the home turn.
 
Race 7: JBS AUSTRALIA “THE AVIATOR” QTIS CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1200 M
 
LEGOLAS – Raced wide throughout.
 
BUTE MOVES – Raced wide throughout. Taken wider on the first turn.
 
CAERUS (NZ) – Clipped the heels of FEEASHIN MOON shortly after the start and blundered.
 
CAPITEEL – Taken wider on the first turn. Raced wide throughout.
 
DATINKA – Tightened for room when approaching the first turn.
 
TAKERU – Blundered shortly after the start. Raced wide throughout.
 
THE EIGHTH I AM – Raced wide throughout. Raced ungenerously rounding the first turn and shifted out abruptly at that point taking CAPITEEL and BUTE MOVES wider.
 
FEEASHIN MOON – Shifted in at the start hampering CAERUS (NZ).
 
DEEP SILENCE – A post-race veterinary examination revealed an off-fore tendon injury. Trainer K. Miller was advised that DEEP SILENCE would require a veterinary clearance prior to next racing.
