Race 1: Red Beret Cairns Cup On Sale Benchmark 55 Handicap 1400m:
 
TRY BEFORE DUBAI – Slow to begin. Made the 1000m turn awkwardly.
 
OUR LITTLE MIRACLE – Slow to begin.
 
GUNGA GALUNGA – Shifted in near the 900m inconveniencing another runner. Rider F. Edwards was reprimanded. Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
RYLEE’S SAGA – Inconvenienced near the 900m and was steadied. Raced wide from that point onwards.
 
BUSH VERSION – Over-raced in the early and middle stages of the race. Shifted out under pressure near the 250m hampering another runner. Rider K. Rockett was advised to exercise more care.
 
AESOP – Steadied near the 250m when crowded for room.
 
CAPITANEAR – Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
PURRFECT TYCOON – Over-raced in the early stages. Made the 1000m turn awkwardly.
 
REGAL ROTH – Over-raced in the early stages. Made the 1000m turn awkwardly. Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
I AM BRUSE - Over-raced for some distance in the early stages. Had to be restrained after improving onto heels near the 1000m. Was again restrained when placed in restricted room by RYLEE’S SAGA when taken in by another runner which had been inconvenienced near the 900m.
 
Race 2: Schweppes QTIS Maiden Plate 2-Y-O & Up 950 metres:
 
KENSINGTON  STAR – Bounded in the air as the start was effected and lost ground.
 
DORIS STAR – Began awkwardly and shifted in and when being corrected shifted out abruptly.
 
WICKED MISTRESS – Jumped out at the start bumping another runner. Raced wide without cover in the early stages of the race.
 
CRAIGLEA JAZZ – Bumped by another runner at the start.
 
LOVE RED – Had difficulties obtaining clear running and was steadied and shifted out around heels approaching the 100m.
 
CRAIGLEA JAZZ – Shifted in under pressure near 100m hampering another runner. Rider J. Lambie was advised exercise more care. 
 
Race 3: Underwood Party Hire Benchmark 60 Handicap 1250 metres:
 
GREAT PRETENDER – Slow to begin. Shifted wider leaving the 600m to improve.
 
PHANTOM SOX – Slow to begin.
 
MADEMOISELLE ZARIZ – Raced wide without cover for the majority of the race.
 
FLYING ONE MORE – Restrained from heels near the 1000m.
 
Race 4: IGA Cup Open Handicap 1250 metres:
 
JUMBO RUMBO – Rider E. Cass who was only able to claim 1kg of her 1.5 kg allowance was fined the sum of $200. 
 
SUNSET IN NEW YORK – Slow to begin.
 
ROCHALLOR – Slow to begin.
 
LOCEANO – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
OUR SINGLE DOUBT – Raced wide for the majority of the race,
 
SHEKOU – Slow to begin. Raced ungenerously in the early stages.  
 
Race 5: Peters Magic Millions/FNQ Up & Coming Stayers Benchmark 65 Handicap 1900 metres:
 
SHORT TERM – Bumped by another runner which shifted in near the 200m.
 
CUT ‘N’ POLISH – Slow to begin. Shifted in under pressure near the 200m bumping another runner. Rider A. Thomson pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding in that  she permitted her mount to shift in under pressure approaching the winning post when insufficiently clear of STANDFORD (S. Kaya) which had to checked to avoid that runner’s heels. Ms Thomson’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 7 days to commence after the expiration of a current suspension and will commence midnight 28 June 2017 and to expire midnight 5 July 2017. 
 
STANDFORD – Checked when tightened for room approaching the winning post.
