Due to extenuating circumstances Stewards took no action other to advise Trainer Mr. S Massingham that a warning would be placed on the geldinggs barrier manners. A post-race veterinary examination did not reveal any abnormalities. Stewards inquired into an incident which took place near the 1200m resulting in WILD DIVA (N Yadi) losing ground. After hearing evidence from Jockey Yadi and App. A Thomson who rode RAMSDEN STREET and viewing the available footage it was established that WILD DIVA which was racing to the outside of HOW CAN I HELP (G Kliese) had made contact with the hindquarters of that gelding causing it to become unbalanced and shift out marginally whilst RAMSDEN STREET was shifting in gradually. This resulted in tightening to the running of WILD DIVA. As Stewards could not be comfortably satisfied that any one rider was responsible they took no further action other than to advise App. Thomson to exercise greater care in similar circumstances. SLADE AMIGOS Had to be restrained approaching the winning post when crossed by RAMSDEN STREET which was shifting in under pressure. App. A Thomson was reprimanded for careless riding under AR137(a).
