QUEENSLANDRACING INTEGRITY COMMISSION STEWARDS REPORT CAIRNS JOCKEY CLUB – THURSDAY 17 MAY 2018 WEATHER – OVERCAST/SHOWERY RAIL – TRUE TRACK RATING – GOOD 4/SOFT 5 @ 12 noon PENETROMETER – 4.82 OFFICIALS Chairman of Stewards – P. Gillard Stewards – P. Lane, B. Farrell Clerk of Scales – C. GordonJudge – B. Gray, R. BallardVeterinarian – Dr E. MaloneySwab Attendants – P. ChartersStarter – P. Warren SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT: FROM TOWNSVILLE 10 MAY 2018 Race 3: WACKO ENTERTAINMENTS MAIDEN H’CAP 1000M Stewards inquired into an incident near the 200m when EUCHARIST had to be checked and shifted out. After viewing the race-day film and questioning riders, stewards established that LUCKY CONNECTION (D. Edmonds) had to be restrained to avoid the heels of TOBASCO (C. Whiteley) and PRINCESS MISSY (P. Cullen), which commenced to compound and when being restrained shifted out tightening the running of EUCHARIST (A. Thomson), which was improving into a run between LUCKY CONNECTION and HEART OF MAC (J. Stanley), causing that runner to be checked and shifted out. A short distance later PRINCESS MISSY shifted out bumping TOBASCO, which shifted out slightly, further hampering LUCKY CONNECTION. As no one rider could be held responsible, this was reported as a racing incident. GENERAL As F.
