Warren Race 1: QUICKSILVER QTIS 3YO MAIDEN H’CAP – 950M WEE WILLIE MAC – Slowly away after beginning awkwardly. Severely checked and lost ground when tightened for room near the 600m when another which was racing greenly, shifted in despite the efforts of its rider. WILLIWIN SOME – Raced wide for the majority of the event. LAPELS – Raced wide for the majority of the event. Rider S. Kaya accidentally dropped his whip near the 250m. HERE’S TO IT – Slowly into stride. MRS DASH – Tightened for room on jumping. POETIC PEARLY – Shifted in on jumping, tightening runners to the inside. Commenced to race ungenerously passing the 800m. STEELZ TIME – Raced greenly in the middle stages and shifted out bumping another runner. OB LA DI – Slowly away and then was tightened for room soon after the start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. SARAH’S GIRL – Bumped by another runner near the 700m. Raced greenly approaching the 600m and soon after shifted in despite the efforts of apprentice A. Thomson, tightening the running of WEE WILLIE MAC, which shifted out slightly simultaneously and had to be checked, losing ground. Race 2: UNDERWOOD PARTY HIRE DICK CHANT MEMORIAL MAIDEN PLATE – 1250M LILY’S PRINCE – Hampered near the 200m. LITTLE BOOMER – Slowly into stride. MICK’S DREAM – Hampered leaving the 200m. RATHDOWNEY AVENUE – Slowly into stride. ROTHSTOCK‘N’BELLA – Raced wide in the middle stages. SUNNY SAILOR – Raced wide for the majority of the event. FRED’S GIFT – Raced wide in the middle stages. Shifted in after becoming unbalanced leaving the 200m, hampering runners to its inside. As jockey B. Swaffer was stood down from his remaining engagements on medical advice after riding in this race, riding replacements were made as per the Stewards Race Day Summary. B. Swaffer will require a medical clearance prior to resuming race riding. Race 3: CARLTON MID OPEN H’CAP – 950M ALLROUND GLORY – Bumped with another runner on jumping. MAN AROUND TOWN – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the event. BON TEMPS – Bumped with another runner on jumping. RAPT IN RUMBA – Raced three wide without cover for the majority of the event. Race 4: EXPERIENCE CO GOVERNOR’S TROPHY BENCHMARK 70 H’CAP – 1600M CLASSIC RECORDS – Jockey J. Stanley advised that although his instructions were to try to ride the horse with cover, when it began well he elected to go travel where it was comfortable and rode the horse accordingly from that point. J. Stanley accidentally dropped his whip at the 100m. BEST HOFFA – Raced wide rounding the home turn. Inclined to lay in under pressure down the running. SALESMAN – Overraced in the early and middle stages. STANDFORD – Slowly into stride. Raced wide from the 800m. TRY ME DOL – Raced wide rounding the home turn. Jockey S. Kaya was fined $100 under the provisions of AR. 137A(5)(a)(ii) for using his whip on more than 5 occasions prior to the 100m. Race 5: YELLOWGLEN BENCHMARK 60 H’CAP – 950M TESTATIME – Began awkwardly. GREY SAMBUCCA – Raced wide for the majority of the event. MAGNITUDE LAD – Rider J. Stanley reported that the gelding was inclined to hang in from the 700m, placing him at a disadvantage. Bumped with another runner near the 400m. TECZA – Raced wide for the majority of the race. CHARLIE ROCKET – Began awkwardly and was then crowded for room and was steadied. Raced wide for the majority of the event. Bumped with another runner near the 400m. EVERY FRIDAY – Began awkwardly. THE BEE’S KNEES – Slowly away after being fractious in the barriers. Race 6: CAIRNS KEY REAL ESTATE CLASS 3 H’CAP – 1400M HUNTER CAULFIELD – Raced wide for the majority of the event. ARNO BAY – Began awkwardly. Raced wide from the 800m. MISC – Raced ungenerously in the early and middle stages. OUT OF THE BLUE – Raced wide from the 800m. CUT ‘N’ POLISH – Began awkwardly. FLASH HERO – Began awkwardly. Overraced in the early stages. BACKTOSPEC – Raced wide for the majority of the event. Race 7: UBET GERRY COLLINS MEMORIAL CLASS 1 H’CAP – 1250M OCTOBER TUTU – Slowly away. Raced wide for the majority of the event. CENTRE RED – Rider R. Thompson reported that the gelding was inclined to hang in for the majority of the home straight, placing him at a disadvantage. LORD ARCHER – Shifted in and away from another runner and was then tightened between runners near the 1000m, having to be checked. ESTRELLA FELLA – Had to be restrained near the 1000m and shifted wider to avoid heels and raced ungenerously for a short distance thereafter. SLAM DUNKED – Shifted in near the 1000m, crowding runners to its inside. Jockey K. Rockett was advised to exercise more care. Inclined to overrace in the early stages and raced wide without cover for the majority of the event. SAMBA RIO – Raced wide for the majority of the event. VOLTAIC – Tightened between runners near the 1000m, having to be checked. TAPTHETILL – Slowly away after beginning awkwardly.
