Miles Race 1: Shane Tibbs & Associates Class 4 H’cap – 950m ROYAL SUPREME – The gelding, which was resuming after a prolonged absence from racing, underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Slow to begin. Race 2: Niesar Painting Open H’cap – 1250m MEDIA VITA – Over-raced in the middle stages. VOLTAIC – Over-raced in the middle stages. DIVINE SERVICE – Raced wide for the majority of the race. Jockey L. Tilley was cautioned in relation to his use of the whip prior to the 100m. GREEN ANCHOR – Raced wide for the majority of the race. Race 3: Telesat Services Maiden H’cap – 1250m SMOKIN’ TOMMY – Refused to load into the barriers and was declared a late scratching at 3.40 pm. Subsequent to the declaration of correct weight, all monies invested on the horse were ordered to be refunded with the following deductions applicable. 6 cents in the dollar on the face value of win bets5 cents in the dollar on the face value of win bets for the place7 cents in the dollar on the face value of 2nd place bets8 cents in the dollar on the face value of 3rd place bets Connections were advised that a further barrier certificate must be provided prior to its next race start. FLYING SARA – Raced ungenerously passing the 1000m. COLONEL PENAGA – Raced wide for the majority of the race. MANGO DELIGHT – Raced wide for the majority of the event. Hung out rounding the home turn. DRAGON INTHE NORTH – Raced wide for the majority of the race. WAKOOL – Raced wide for the majority of the race. Shifted out around the heels of a tiring runner on straightening. Race 4: Hurney Partners Class 6 Plate – 1400m ALL THINGS IN TIME – Slowly away. Raced wide for the majority of the race. ROCK SPUR – Slowly away. SALESMAN – Raced ungenerously for some distance in the middle stages. Inconvenienced when placed in restricted room by another runner, which shifted in passing the 100m. ROSE CLIP – Shifted in passing the 100m, inconveniencing another runner before being corrected . Apprentice E. Cass was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances. OAKFIELD AVENGER – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have injured its near fore tendon. Connections were advised that a veterinary clearance must be provided prior to its next race start. Race 5: Jayco Cairns QTIS 3yo H’cap – 950m The start of this race was delayed when DO IT FOR VIV, which had been reluctant to load, then on entering the barriers, made contact with the partition, shifting the saddle and having to be resaddled. Trainer S. Sigvart was advised that a warning would be placed on the gelding’s barrier manners. CUPID’S SON – Shifted out on jumping, forcing other runners wider. Jockey P. Romeo reported that the gelding had raced greenly. FAST CHIPS – Forced wider on jumping, making contact with runners to its outside. DUTCH ROCKET – Was inconvenienced when tightened between runners soon after the start. Hung out rounding the home turn and continued to hang out for the remainder of the race. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near fore leg. Connections were advised a veterinary clearance must provided prior to its next race start. WOOHOO GIRL – Became unbalanced soon after jumping when bumped on the hindquarters by another runner.KODAI – Raced ungenerously in the early stages. Hampered by another runner, which shifted out near the 150m. LOUD ‘N’ LOOSE – Shifted out marginally near the 150m, hampering another runner. Race 6: La Pizza Trattoria Class 1 H’cap – 950mDue to HE’SBLESSED proving fractious during saddling connections were unable to fit the tongue tie and Stewards permitted the gelding to race without that piece of gear. Trainer S. Massingham advised he will remove the tongue tie from the gelding’s approved gear for future race starts. PURPLE GREY – Fractious in the barriers. Passing the 250m, when attempting a marginal run, was disappointed, shifting ground outwards and bumping with another runner, which became unbalanced. The gelding lost ground in this incident. EDGED IN LACE – Slowly away after being hampered on jumping from outside runners which shifted in. INFINITE ADVANTAGE – Slowly away. Near the 250m was hampered by another runner, which shifted out after being disappointed for a marginal run. GOLDEN CHARLES – Jumped inwards at the start, hampering runners to its inside. Over-raced in the early stages. Raced wide for the majority of the event. ARNHEM BEAUTY – Hampered on jumping by another runner, which shifted in. Raced wide for the majority of the race. COURAGEOUS CHLOE – Over-raced in the early stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have a slow post-race recovery. TAKING CHARGE – Was improving into a narrow run near the 250m when bumped on the hindquarters, becoming unbalanced. Race 7: Tolly’s Signs Class 2 H’cap – 1250m REAGAN – Over-raced in the early and middle stages. DEIGO BAY – Was over-racing when caught wide in the early stages. Laid in under pressure approaching the winning post. FOXY FELINE – Over-raced in the early stages. SHE’S NIC’N OFF – Jockey L. Tilley reported the mare was inclined to race ungenerously when being restrained near the 600m and again near the 400m. TOFF ROCKS – Rounded the home turn wide. Shifted ground when placed under pressure in the home straight. LABRUSCO – Raced wide for the majority of the race. SFILZA – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
