Kennedy GENERAL As N. Day (illness) medical required, S. Wilson (Unable to ride) and F. Edwards (Personal reasons), were not riding at today’s meeting riding replacements were made as per steward’s summary. Race 1: HALPIN PARTNERS ACCOUNTANTS Maiden Handicap 1250 metres CRAIGLEA RAFFERTY – A veterinary examination when arriving at the barriers revealed the gelding to be lame in the near fore leg and was declared a late scratching at 1.31pm. All monies invested on CRAIGLEA RAFFERTY were ordered to be refunded. Deductions applicable to bets placed on winner and placegetters prior to 1.31PM: 5 cents in the dollar for the win MUZANBOAL ROUGE 5 cents in the dollar for the place of winner MUZANBOAL ROUGE6 cents in the dollar for 2nd place EXCLUSIVE MO 9 cents in the dollar for 3rd place INTERROGATION Trainer T. Rowe was advised he must provide a veterinary clearance for the gelding prior to it being permitted to race again. INTERROGATION – Delayed the start when proved difficult to load. Trainer J. Kilroy was advised a warning would be placed on the gelding’s barrier manners. COKUM GIFT – Shifted in on jumping crowding GREYSERENE. Lost its near hind plate in running. AGE OF DAWN – Began awkwardly. GREYSERENE – Tightened for room on jumping and lost ground. EXCLUSIVE MO – Bumped near the 100 metres when improving into a narrow run. REDENZO ROMAN – Shifted out on jumping crowding GREYSERENE. Was checked when tightened for room near the 100 metres when racing between EXCLUSIVE MO and SHE’S A SINNER which shifted out under pressure. Rider W. D’Avila pleaded guilty to a charge under AR131(a) in that he permitted SHE’S A SINNER to shift out under pressure bumping REDENZO ROMAN on two occasions and tightening that runner which in turn shifted out bumping EXCLUSIVE MO. Jockey D’ Avila’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of seven days to commence midnight 27 May 2021 and to expire midnight 3 June 2021. Race 2: 2 U DON'T NEED A NEW ROOF QTIS Three-Year-Old MaidenHandicap 1400 metres MALACHINI – Slow to begin. Over-raced in the middle stages. VIZONE – Began awkwardly. HOPE AS ALWAYS – Began awkwardly. Restrained off the heels of BOTOX LADY near the 900 metres which shifted out slightly when over-racing. Raced wide for the majority of the race. COUNT THE BEERS – Improved onto heels when being ridden along shortly after start and was steadied. Over-raced in the middle stages. BOLD ARCHER – Over-raced in the early stages.BOTOX LADY – Over-raced in the early and middle stages. Lost ground when racing ungenerously approaching the 500 metres. DREAM OF DUBAI – Over-raced in the early and middle stages.ZULU REIGN – Raced wide for the majority of the race. Race 3: 4CA'S 85TH BIRTHDAY OPEN Handicap 1250 metres BOLD TYPE – Raced ungenerously in the early stages. DUNATUN – Over-raced in the early stages. SALESMAN – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages and raced wide for the majority of the race. SPACE TIME – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have a minor laceration to off hind lower leg. Race 4: GREAT NORTHERN BREWING CO. QTIS Two-Year-OldHandicap 950 metres BOOMED – Slow to begin. Made the home turn awkwardly. KURANDA – Began awkwardly and then shifted out abruptly hampering WITTSTOCK. Steadied leaving the 600 metres when racing in restricted room and lost ground. Raced greenly for the majority of the race. BEAN WARRIOR – Bumped shortly after the start and became unbalanced. Raced wide for the majority. WITTSTOCK – Was hampered shortly after start and shifted out bumping BEAN WARRIOR. Raced wide for the majority.CHATEAU ROYALE – Raced wide for the majority. STEPPING UP – Raced wide for the majority. Race 5: CAIRNS TRUCK SCHOOL BENCHMARK 65 Handicap 950 metres MISS ESTER – Reared as the start was effected and lost considerable ground taking no part in the race. Connections were advised the mare must obtain a further barrier certificate prior to being permitted to race again. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have a minor laceration to it mouth area. off hind lower leg. COASTAL BOY – Slow to begin. HOWYALIKEMENOW – Slow to begin. NEBARAZ – Slow to begin. Unable to obtain clear running from leaving the 300 metres until approaching the winning post and went to the line without being fully tested. EXCEEDINGLY KOOL – Hampered at the start. OCTOBER STORM – Jumped outwards at the start hampering EXCEEDINGLY KOOL. Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Race 6: MAGIC MILLIONS/ROB KOCH MEMORIAL/FNQ UP & COMINGSTAYERS BENCHMARK 65 1900 metres LUCKY FOR SOME – Trainer M. Geaney was fined the sum of $100 in that he failed to declare a rider for the gelding by the prescribed time. Underwent a veterinary examination prior to the start at the request of its trainer and was cleared to start. SHADOW ECLIPSE – Began awkwardly. TUTELAGE – Began awkwardly. BORELLA– Began awkwardly. Raced wide in the early stages. PONDEROSO – Raced wide in the early stages. Race 7: FOWLER'S GROUP BENCHMARK 58 Handicap 1250 metres MCKENZIE WILL DO – As C. Jokic was unable to fulfil her riding engagement on the gelding due to transportation difficulties she was replaced by jockey D. Smith. Shifted wider near 700 metres and raced wide from that point onwards. FLUTTERING – Shifted wider near 800 metres and raced wide from that point onwards. ACADEMY HILL – Put an awkward stride and blundered badly near the 400 metres almost dislodging its rider. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
