SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
 
GENERAL
Permitted Overweights:
Race 5, N. Day (On The Tiles) + 1kg
Race 7, R. Wiggins (Glorious Express) + .50kg 
 
Race 1: WALKER LAWYERS QTIS Three-Year-Old Maiden Handicap 1250 Metres
 
RIGHT ON RALPHY – Shifted in at the start bumping LORD PROPHET. Restrained near the 1000 metres. Over-raced for a short distance near the 700 metres.
 
LORD PROPHET – Bumped on jumping.
 
LORD POWER – Began awkwardly and brushed its inside barrier gate.
 
LADY DAMUS – Shifted in shortly after the start when not fully clear of ADAMINABY. Rider R. Wiggins was severely reprimanded and advised to show greater care. Raced greenly over the concluding stages and shifted out having to be steadied approaching the winning post.
 
ADAMINABY – Checked shortly after the start.Raced wide for the majority of the race.  
 
CONQUERED JOURNEY – Restrained off heels near the 1000 metres.
 
BORLOTTI BEANS – Raced ungenerously in the early stages, laid out near 1000 metres and over-raced for a short distance.
 
Track was upgraded to a Good (4) following the running of this race.
 
Race 2: SMITHY'S NQ ELECTRICAL OPEN Handicap 950 Metres
 
LILY OFTHE GLEN – Tendency to lay out rounding the home turn.
 
CLEAVER GREENE – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
Race 3: COREY MACHAN SHEETMETAL Maiden Handicap 950 Metres
 
LADY LUNA – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
TALK CRAZY – Began awkwardly and raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
WISHEART – Blundered on jumping.
 
BELLA'S IN COMMAND – Shifted in brushing the running rail on two occasions approaching the 500 metres.
 
HERO'S CHOICE – Shifted in brushing the running rail near the 450 metres and became unbalanced.
 
WONG WAY – Rider J. Stanley advised the gelding laid in for the majority of the race proving difficult to ride. Trainer M. Dale was advised a warning would be placed on its racing manners. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.  
 
Race 4: CAIRNS SUNLAND LEISURE PARK BENCHMARK 70 Handicap 1250 Metres
 
NEBARAZ – Slow to begin.
 
Race 5: PICCONE'S VILLAGE ON PEASE ST BENCHMARK 70 Handicap 1500 Metres
 
ON THE TILES – Connections advised it would be the intention to ride the gelding in a forward position today should circumstances permit. Was ridden accordingly.
 
VERBALIZER (NZ) – Slow into stride.
 
MT PETER MISS – Began awkwardly.
 
MA MA'S ROSE – Raced wide in the early stages.
 
GAIUS JULIUS – Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
 
 
 
 
 
Race 6: GREAT BARRIER ROOF Class 3 Plate 950 Metres
 
RIVERINA DEMAND – Made contact with the enclosure gate on entering the course proper, underwent a veterinary examination on arriving at the barriers and was cleared to start. Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
BIG FLASH – Slow to begin.
 
DREAMLINE – Shifted inwards on jumping.
 
CHEYENNE BEACH – Shifted out near the 200 metres bumping JOURNEY OF SONG.
 
JOURNEY OF SONG – Restrained off heels near the 500 metres. Bumped near the 200 metres.
 
Race 7: HPS CONTRACTORS Class 2 Handicap 1250 Metres
 
ACCTORIES – Slow to begin.
 
NANNA KNUCKEY – Eased down in the home straight. Rider S. Sheargold stated the mare felt a little awkward in its action and further added it compounded over the concluding stages and was also having its first start back from a spell.  A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
MY SISTER SAL – Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
WHEY MISCHIEF – Raced wide without cover for the majority of the race.
 
FLAMING TORCH (NZ) – Raced wide for the majority of the race. When questioned into its improved performance today trainer S. Royes advised stewards it was its first run for the stable and he had been advised the gelding had not been comfortable racing on loose and dirt surfaces at its previous starts. He further added FLAMING TORCH had been working well leading up to today’s event. Stewards noted his explanation.      
 
Race 8: NIESAR PAINTING RATINGS BAND 0 - 55 Handicap1400 Metres
 
MODERN LEGEND – Slow to begin. When questioned into its performance rider N. Thomas advised that in his opinion the gelding raced flat and was disappointing. Stable foreman Mr R. Ryan stated he was disappointed with the run and will see how the gelding pulls up once returned to its stable before giving further consideration to its current preparation.
 
RISK IN ROME – Blundered on jumping.
 
FORGIATO (NZ) – Crowded for room near the 1200 metres.Raced wide for the majority of the race.
 
ALITA – Shifted in near the 1200 metres crowding FORGIATO. Shifted out under pressure near the 80 metres hampering I LOVE ROCK ‘N’ ROLL.  Rider P. Romeo was advised to show greater care.
 
I LOVE ROCK'N'ROLL – Raced in restricted room for a short distance near the 1200 metres. Momentarily hampered near the 80 metres before switching back to the inside.
