Race 4 QTIS 3YO HANDICAP – 1000 METRES

Stewards inquired into the reason GOLD TRICKLE blundered near the 600 metres dislodging apprentice K. Swaffer. After hearing evidence from K. Swaffer (GOLD TRICKLE) in the presence of her master T. Rowe and jockey L. Morrison (PROPHETS) along with steward’s observations it was established that after being crossed by PROPHETS leaving the 800 metres GOLD TRICKLE then commenced to over-race becoming awkwardly placed to the inside of PROPHETS which was racing approximately half a horse off the fence and when being restrained shifted out marginally clipping the off-side heel of PROPHETS and blundered near the 600 metres resulting in apprentice K. Swaffer being dislodged. As stewards deemed this an unfortunate racing incident no further action was taken.
