Whiteley (Modern Legend) + 1kg Race 1: ZARRAFFA'S COFFEE SHOWGROUND AND EDMONTON QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD HANDICAP – 950 METRES HAND GRENADE – Began awkwardly and shifted in bumping with DON’TLEAVEMENOW. DON'TLEAVEMENOW – Shifted out at the start bumping with HAND GRENADE. Race 2: NORWELD AUSTRALIA QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD MAIDEN HANDICAP – 1250 METRES SECRET BOOM – Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the race. MISHANI DESTINY – Stood flat footed and lost considerable ground. Trainer J. Manzelmann was advised a warning would be placed on its barrier manners. GOOD 'N' DEVINE – Began awkwardly. MISHANI OPAL – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Raced ungenerously in the early and middle stages. Raced in restricted room near the 400 metres. Disappointed for a run near the 150 metres and was restrained before altering course. MR GRUMBLER – Began awkwardly. Made the 750 metre crossing awkwardly. THE GENERAL TALKS – Slow into stride. HEROIC NIC – Slow into stride. Raced ungenerously for a short distance approaching the 1000 metres. Race 3: HOLMES COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE MAIDEN HANDICAP – 1400 METRES MISS FARSTAR – Slow to begin. Over-raced for a short distance passing the 1200 metres. BOOGIEWITHMAHBABY – Slow to begin. STILLWATER – Slow to begin. DEER HUNTER – Jockey L. Morrison had difficulties gathering her reins near the 300 metres and dropped her near side rein approaching the 100 metres before regathering it near the 50 metres. QUEENBEEL (NZ) – Raced wide for the majority of the race. Race 4:THE LAUNDRY EXPRESS OPEN HANDICAP – 1500 METRES PRIME RULER – Had a tendency to over-race in the early and middle stages. TAVISTEEL (NZ) – Raced wide for the majority of the race. Race 5: HIRE A HUBBY BAYVIEW RATINGS BAND 0 - 58 HANDICAP – 1500 METRES MISHANI MENACE – Jumped in at the start bumping MA MA’S ROSE. MA MA'S ROSE – Bumped on jumping. SIZZLING SAMURAI – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. FERUS – Over-raced in the middle stages. Raced wide for the majority of the race. Race 6: LADBROKES YARD COMMENTS BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP – 1250 METRES BLOOMIN' RIPPER – Shifted out at the start bumping PARA PARK CHANCE. PARA PARK CHANCE – Bumped on jumping. Attempted to buck shortly after the start and shifted in making heavy contact with BLOOMIN RIPPER which in turn shifted out bumping NO LOVE LOST. Connections were advised the gelding must trial to the steward’s satisfaction prior to being permitted to race again. NO LOVE LOST – Bumped on the hind quarters shortly after the start and became unbalanced. Laid out under pressure leaving 300 metres and passing the 200 metres bumped BOOGIE WONDERLAND. Rider C. Sutherland was advised to show greater care in similar circumstances. BOOGIE WONDERLAND – Bumped on the hindquarters leaving the 200 metres and became unbalanced. Raced wide for the majority of the race. LUCKY ROLLA – Raced wide for the majority of the race. ROTHGURL – Raced wide for the majority of the race. Race 7: CASHCOR ENGINEERING BENCHMARK 70 HANDICAP – 1250 METRES STATS – Delayed the start when refused to load and was declared a late scratching at 4.28pm by order of stewards acting on starter’s advice. All monies invested on STATS were ordered to be refunded. Deductions applicable to bets placed on winner and placegetters prior to 4.28PM: 35 x cents in the dollar for the win CROWNING MOMENT 17 x cents in the dollar for the place of winner CROWNING MOMENT 28 x cents in the dollar for 2nd place CALL ME MO 26 x cents in the dollar for 3rd place TYCOON BEAU Trainer S. Massingham was advised the gelding must obtain a further barrier certificate prior to being permitted to race again. MODERNISM – Slow to begin. BATTLE ROYALE– Slow to begin. Momentarily held up for clear running near the 200 metres.LADY OF FORTUNE– Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the race. CALL ME MO – Began awkwardly and lost ground. TYCOON BEAU – Momentarily held up for clear running near the 200 metres. BONYTHON – Jockey C Sutherland dropped the offside rein passing the 100 metres before quickly regaining it. Raced wide for the majority of the race. Race 8: GARY RICHES PTY LTD BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP – 950 METRES VIBURNUM – Made contact with the enclosure gate on entering the course proper. Underwent a veterinary examination on arrival at the barriers and was cleared to start. SATURDAY VIBES – Delayed the start when proved difficult to load. BOLD FEELING – Jockey N. Day reported on returning to scale he had difficulties seeing during the race due to kick back and as a result was unable to fully test his mount over the concluding stages. BRING THE RABBLE – Slow into stride.
