Race 4:GREAT NORTHERN BULL RIDING QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1000 Metres
 
Hold My Halo – Trainer M. McGuire subsequently advised stewards following its performance and returning to its stable base, the filly had pleased him in both slow and fast work, and he was at a loss to explain the performance on the day. He further added as HOLD MY HALO was showing no concerns he would proceed with its current preparation.

Race 1: PICCONE’S VILLAGES QTIS MAIDEN PLATE (QTIS BONUSES FOR 3YO'S ONLY) – 1250 Metres
 
MISHANI TALENT – Began awkwardly.
 
Race 2: FNQ VENDING CLASS 6 PLATE – 1250 Metres
 
SPIRIT MEISTER – Jumped out at the start bumping with LIDDER VALLEY.

LIDDER VALLEY – Jumped in at the start bumping with SPIRIT MEISTER. Over-raced in the middle stages and as a result raced three wide without cover for the majority of the race.
 
ZI WIN – Over-raced in the early stages.

GOLDEN CHARLES – Laid out rounding the home turn.
 
Following the running of this race the track was upgraded to a soft (6).  
 
Race 3: HIGGINS COATINGS PTY LTD OPEN HANDICAP – 950 Metres
 
MYSTERY 'N' MAGIC – As Ms A. Thomson was not riding at today’s meeting due to illness, she was replaced by Ms C. Jokic who was obliged to ride MYSTERY ‘N’ MAGIC at its adjusted weight of 55 kilograms. Ms Thomson was advised she must provide a medical clearance prior to her next race ride. Bounded in the air on jumping and lost ground.        
 
JEMELDI – Slow to begin.
 
BAKERSFIELD – When asked to explain the gelding’s performance today jockey S. Cormack explained he was unable to muster early speed today and raced wide rounding the home turn and then failed to respond to his riding. Trainer F. Wieland added that in his opinion when the gelding was unable to obtain the lead as to its previous runs and raced wide was a telling factor on today’s performance.      
 
Race 4: HPS CONTRACTORS BM60 HANDICAP – 1400 Metres
 
KING'S HALO – Slow to begin. Over-raced in the early stages.
 
MIRROR ILLUSION – Shifted in crowding WONG WAY near the 1200 metres when improving forward. Jockey C. Jokic was advised to show greater care.

WONG WAY – Steadied near the 1200 metres when crowded for room by MIRROR ILLUSION which shifted in. Raced keenly in the early stages.  
 
Race 5: LADBROKES RACING CLUB BM65 HANDICAP – 950 Metres
 
MOUNT WARNING – Slow to begin. Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
FODOR – Commenced to shift out under pressure leaving the 300 metres and near the 200 metres continued to do so causing STARZ BARWON to alter course to its inside. Jockey R. Wiggins was advised to show greater care when shifting ground in similar circumstances.  
 
STARZ BARWON – Shifted out to obtain clear running near the 300 metres bumping heavily with RIGEL STAR and again approaching the 200 metres before shifting back to the inside of FODOR which laid out under pressure. Rider S. Cormack was advised to show greater care when shifting ground. Lost its near hind plate during race.
 
RIGEL STAR – Laid out rounding the home turn. Bumped heavily near the 300 metres and again near the 200 metres.
 
Correct weight was delayed allowing jockey S. Cormack (STARZ BARWON) to view the film if he had grounds to lodge an objection against FODOR (R. Wiggins) being declared the winner alleging interference near the 300 metres and again near the 200 metres. After viewing the steward’s footage, he did not wish to proceed and correct weight was declared on the judge’s semaphored numbers.     
 
Race 6: RED BERET HOTEL 0 – 55 HANDICAP – 950 Metres
 
BEAN WARRIOR – Shifted out at the start forcing GROVERS PREDICTION wider. Raced wide rounding the home turn.
 
 HERNE HILL – Bumped on the hind quarter soon after the start and was unbalanced.
 
OUT OF SIGHT – Began awkwardly. Brushed by THE WALLET which shifted in under pressure leaving the 100 metres.
 
GROVERS PREDICTION – Slow into stride and forced wider bumping HERNE HILL on the hindquarter turning that runner inwards and then being tightened for room.   
 
CALM IS POWER – Raced keenly in the middle stages.
 
THE WALLET – Over-raced in the middle stages. Laid in under pressure leaving the 100 metres brushing OUT OF SIGHT and was unbalanced.
 
Race 7: FGF BITUMEN CLASS 1 PLATE – 1250 Metres
 
BELLA BIANCA – As Ms A. Thomson was not riding at today’s meeting due to illness, she was replaced by Ms C. Jokic. Ms Thomson was advised she must provide a medical clearance prior to her next race ride. On returning to scale jockey C. Jokic advised stewards her saddle shifted back on jumping placing her at a disadvantage throughout the race.
 
MISS FARSTAR – Slow to begin.
 
KITEMA – Shifted out at the start forcing JOURNO wider.
 
JOURNO – Began awkwardly and was forced outwards bumping COPPABELLA ROAD. Raced keenly in the middle stages.
 
COPPABELLA ROAD – Bumped on jumping.
 
ELLIE'S DREAM – Shifted wider over the concluding stages.  
 
I'LLTELLYOUSO – Laid out under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
MASTER ORR – Raced wide for the majority and shifted wider rounding the home turn.
 
Correct weight was delayed allowing apprentice jockey L. Guernier (ELLIE’S DREAM) in the company of her master F. Wieland to view the film if she had grounds to lodge an objection against I’LLTELLYOUSO (R. Wiggins) being declared the winner alleging interference over the concluding stages. After viewing the steward’s footage and considering the margin they did not wish to proceed and correct weight was declared on the judge’s semaphored numbers.
