Jones > RACE 1: CUNNAMULLA BAKERY - NICK & KATE BENCHMARK 45 HANDICAP 1000M ROBODAN Slow to begin. Improved on to heels near the 800m and had to steady. Laid out in the home straight. CAPITAL TYCOON Began Awkwardly, MARKISTA Tightened for room at the start. THE SMUGGLER Raced wide without cover for the majority of the event. Steadied from heels near the 100m when ROBODAN laid out despite the efforts of its rider. Apprentice N. Lentini was reprimanded for failing to claim her full allowance. Stewards took in to consideration that this was her first breach of AR92(12). Apprentice N. Fazackerley was fined $100 for failing to claim his full allowance. RACE 2: BUSTER & LORRAINE SCHMIDT MEMORIAL QTIS CLASS 3 PLATE 1000M Stewards accepted Trainer B. Waldronns explanation for the late declaration of riders, L. Tilley (TRUST NO ONE) and R. Faehr (REVERSE LOGIC). RED GERANIUM Raced wide for the majority of the event. REBEL ICON Raced wide for the majority of the event. TRUST NO ONE Rider L. Tilley reported at scale that on jumping he lost his left iron and regained it shortly after. >RACE 3: COCA-COLA AMATIL/CANADIAN CLUB OPEN HANDICAP 1000M Stewards questioned Trainer P. Webstar as to the acceptance and subsequent scratching of STRIVE TO SUCCEED. Whilst accepting Mr Webstarrs explanation Stewards reminded him of his obligations under LR38. Jockey C.Bryen was overweight and subsequently replaced by jockey R. Faher to ride KING OF THE FLAME. Stewards accepted explanation tended by rider C. Bryen and Trainer P. Webstar. No racing incidents. RACE 4: LAND TRANSPORT TOOWOOMBA BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1200M Due to no rider being available WALLBANGER was declared a late scratching at 12:00pm. KING OF ROSSA Raced wide for the majority. ZAPATA FALLS Raced wide for the majority. FRED Slow to begin. Tightened for room near the 400m and lost ground. RACE 5: TUCKWELL TRANSPORT & EARTHMOVING BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP 1400M ANOTHER WEAPON Made contact with another runner on jumping. LORD RUSSEL Made contact with another runner on jumping. SHEES INVINCIBLE Slow to begin. Raced wide for the majority of the event. RACE 6: HATCHMANS PETROLEUM - CUNNAMULLA CUP OPEN HANDICAP 1400M Stewards questioned Trainer R. Frazer as to the acceptance and subsequent scratchings of ISSY COMMAND and PART THE SEA. Whilst accepting Mr Frazerrs explanation Stewards reminded him of his obligations under LR38.
