GENERAL
 
Due to sustaining an injury prior to todays meeting Jockey P. Randall was unable to fulfill his riding engagements. Replacements as per stewards summary.
 
Race 1:ANN DUFF MEMORIAL MAIDEN PLATE – 1200m  
 
GREAT BRAVE – Jumped a shadow on the track passing the 1000m and lost ground.
 
JAMAZEM – Began awkwardly and lost ground.  Laid in during the home straight.
 
SULU’S GIRL – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
Race 2:ASHLEY'S SPORTS N ALL BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP – 1200m
 
FIRST FAMILY – Slow to begin.
 
ANOTHER PLAN – Began awkwardly lost ground.
 
CHIEF HAVOC – Steward permitted Jockey S. Sweedman to ride one kilogram overweight due to no other rider being available. Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
Race 3:BILL PESKETT MEMORIAL CLASS B HANDICAP – 1000m  
 
BOOM FIRE – Inclined to lay out in the early stages.
 
UNSURE – Began awkwardly.
 
BUDDIE OLLIE – Cast a near-hind plate in the mounting yard. Stewards subsequently gave permission for the off-hind plate to be removed and the gelding to race bare behind.
 
BEAN BAG – Began awkwardly.
 
LENROY – Tightened for room shortly after the start and lost ground. Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
KING CONI – Began awkwardly.
 
Race 4:I O R RURAL PTY LTD OPEN PLATE – 1000m  
 
IBINI – Stewards permitted Jockey N. Morton to ride two kilograms overweight due to no other rider being available. Began awkwardly and lost ground. Race wide without cover throughout.
 
ELITE GREY – Began awkwardly.
 
IL BANDITO – Began awkwardly. Held up for clear running for a short distance leaving the 300m.
 
TROMMELSCHLAGEN – Inclined to lay in throughout.
 
Race 5:BROWN & HURLEY TOOWOOMBA BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP – 1400m  
 
MAXIMUM HUSTLE – Began awkwardly.
 
PROTOTYPE – Improved onto heels and was forced to steady leaving the 1000m.
 
THE KROC – Jumped with its head in the air at the start and lost considerable ground.
 
MASTER OF THE TURF – Raced wide without cover throughout the early stages.
 
VERVE – Began awkwardly. When questioned regarding the below market expectation performance Jockey N.Morton advised that after beginning awkwardly and settling further back than anticipated, the gelding resented the kick back and subsequently proved difficult to ride out. Stewards noted Jockey Morton’s explanation.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
