RUBY DIAMOND- Laid in for the majority of the event continuing to lay in in the home straight proving difficult to ride out fully despite the best efforts of the rider to do so. Despite winning the event, Stewards acting under the provision of AR75 advised Trainer S Iverson that a Warning would be placed on the horse for its racing manners.

Race 4: C &D.D.R.C. OPEN HANDICAP 1400M
NICK THE SKIP- Raced at the rear of the field for the majority of the event and was disappointing throughout. Stewards ordered that a Post- race Veterinary examination be undertaken. This examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Stewards questioned Trainer S Iverson regarding the below market expectation performance of the horse. He advised that although he was disappointed in the run today the horse has raced three consecutive weeks including a run Eagle Farm and didn’t back up, his wide barrier and big weight today despite the apprentice’s claim was a disadvantage and would be looking at giving the horse a spell. Stewards accepted Mr. Iverson’s explanation.
