BEAN FORTUNATE- On approaching the 600m raced on heels of another runner and then raced wide for the majority of the event.

I’M FREE- At approximately the 120m point had to change direction inward across the heels of RUBY DIAMOND which laid in under pressure in the home straight.

IN PEACE- Slow to begin.

GO THE PARROT-Slow to begin. Raced at the rear of the field for the majority of the event. Trainer M Patterson was advised by Stewards that acting under the provision of AR75 a Warning would be placed on the horse for being uncompetitive at today’s meeting.

RUBY DIAMOND- Laid in for the majority of the event continuing to lay in in the home straight proving difficult to ride out fully despite the best efforts of the rider to do so. Despite winning the event, Stewards acting under the provision of AR75 advised Trainer S Iverson that a Warning would be placed on the horse for its racing manners.

Race 2: C & D.D.R.C CLASS B HANDICAP 1000M

BLINDSIDE- Raced wide for the majority of the event.

THE VERESDALE- After being fractious in the barriers was slow to begin then raced at the rear of the field for the majority of the event.

OUR WINTER- Leaving the 400m shifted out in an effort to improve then on entering the home turn raced wide and then continued to veer out further and then raced extremely wide laying in for some distance in the home straight proving difficult to ride out fully by the rider despite the best efforts of the rider. IN’HINCHABLE- APPR D BENNETT- Slow to begin.

BALLYCASTLE- Slow into stride and raced wide for the majority of the event.

HAGGERSTON- Began awkwardly, then raced at the rear of the field for the majority of the event. Stewards questioned Trainer M Patterson regarding the seemingly disappointing performance of the gelding. Mr Patterson advised that he was happy with the run and expected the horse to get back as he was a miler and was looking for further. Stewards noted Mr. Patterson’s comments.

Race 4: C &D.D.R.C. OPEN HANDICAP 1400M

NICK THE SKIP- Raced at the rear of the field for the majority of the event and was disappointing throughout. Stewards ordered that a Post- race Veterinary examination be undertaken. This examination failed to reveal any abnormalities. Stewards questioned Trainer S Iverson regarding the below market expectation performance of the horse. He advised that although he was disappointed in the run today the horse has raced three consecutive weeks including a run Eagle Farm and didn’t back up, his wide barrier and big weight today despite the apprentice’s claim was a disadvantage and would be looking at giving the horse a spell. Stewards accepted Mr. Iverson’s explanation.

PHYLAVE- Raced at the rear of the field for the majority of the event and after entering the home straight ran on strongly.

Race 5: C & D.D.R.C. QTIS RATINGS BAND 0-55 HANDICAP 1400M
