MacDonald GENERAL The following runners were declared late scratchings by order of Stewards when no riders were available:At 11:09am – Race 5: Mr Demolition Bauhinia Breans Stewards permitted the following overweights when no other suitable rider was available:Race 5 - Jockey P Randall + 1kg. Jockey C Rogers + 2kg. Race 1 - BROWN & HURLEY TOOWOOMBA QTIS MAIDEN PLATE 1200 MROGUE ARTIST- Jockey/Trainer C Rogers reported that, in her opinion, her mount resented the application of the whip over the concluding stages. Jockey/Trainer C. Rogers advised she intends to have the gelding ridden with conservative use of the whip going forward. Stewards noted the comments and reminded Ms Rogers to ensure she advises Stewards of such intentions prior to the outset of any race. LONIESHA- Fractious in barriers, reared as the start was effected and lost ground. Raced wide for the majority. Tired from the 600m. Trainer P. Townsend was advised a warning would be placed on the mares barrier manners. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Race 2 - ASHLEY'S SPORTS N ALL BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1200 MREAL HUSSEY- Raced wide for a majority of the event.WITHOUT SHAME- Laid out around the home turn.BEAN GROOVY- Shifted out abruptly on jumping. Trainer B. Sheppard was notified that a warning would be placed on the gelding for its racing manners. Race wide without cover for a majority of the event. REBEL REBELLION- Fractious in barriers, reared as the start was effected and lost ground. Ridden positively in the early stages and settled in a wide and forward position. Tired from the 600m. Trainer V. Jones was notified that a warning would be placed on the gelding for its barrier manners. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. LASCO- Fractious in the barriers, stood flat footed when gates opened and was slow to begin. Trainer W. Pugsley was notified that a warning would be placed on the gelding as a result. MR MEDIA- Jumped awkwardly. Race 3 - FRIENDLY GROCER CUNNAMULLA BENCHMARK 45 HANDICAP 1000 MAGRIMONY (GB)- Jumped awkwardly and contacted the outside barrier gate.OUR GOLDEN CHERUB- Approaching the 200m, hung in under pressure.SEEBURG- Shifted out abruptly under pressure passing the 50m. Trainer M Gavin was notified that a warning would be placed on the gelding for its racing manners.BEST SIDE- Approaching the 200m, shifted out to obtain clear running.DREYFUS- Raced wide in the home straight.LEIBERT LASS- Jumped awkwardly, bumping KUKINTA. Raced wide without cover for a majority of the event. Tired from the 400m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Race 4 - CUNNAMULLA COFFEE SHOP OPEN PLATE 1000 MELUSIVE EAGLE- Shortly after the start shifted out abruptly. Trainer B Sheppard was notified that a warning would be placed on the gelding for its racing manners.OAKFIELD TARGET- Jumped awkwardly brushing the outside barrier gate. CRAZY RUSSIAN- Hung in for a short distance approaching the 600m.LOST MEDIA- Jumped awkwardly. Raced wide without cover for a majority of the event. Hung in when rounding the home turn. Race 5 - ANN DUFF MEMORIAL BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1400 MDue to mechanical issues with the starting gates, barrier 4 was not utilised in this race. All runners drawn gate 4 and wider, were moved one gate out. JAKAMA- Bumped on jumping, became unbalanced and was slow into stride. Raced wide without cover for a majority of the event.WARRAH FLASH- Slow to begin. BALLYCASTLE- Raced wide without cover in the early stages.LENROY- Began awkwardly and shifted in abruptly, carrying JAKAMA in, before being corrected.Raced wide for the majority of the race. Trainer J Hatch was notified that a warning would be placed on the gelding for its racing manners.VIRGO VISION- Raced wide with cover in the early stages.FORGED IN STONE- Jumped awkwardly.
