RACE 1 MAGUIRES GLASSHOUSE COUNTRY FARMS HANDICAP CLASS 1 800M
BOOTSHAKER hung out at 500M.

PLATTERS- jumped awkwardly contacting the starting stalls upright.

EXCEEDINGLY FINE- appeared to shy away from the running rail and ducked out sharply near the home turn.

JEPTOO- lost the off side cup of her blinkers in running.

LITTLE PADDY- hung out at 600m.

FELINE MISS- dipped shortly after jumping away.

Jockey R Kerwin returned to the saddling enclosure with an injury to her right foot. Jockey Kerwin was transported by ambulance to Dalby Hospital for medical attention. Medical clearance required prior to riding again.

RACE 2 THE CGE PLATE MAIDEN 1000m

Jockey R Kerwin replaced by J Missen on BERT’S LEGACY.

DRAGON TOPS- Connections advised they were going to ride the horse just behind the pace if possible. Jockey M O’Brien advised that she was able to place the horse just off the pace but it’s finishing effort was very disappointing.

SNIPPETS OF LUCK- lost ground at the start when the mare was slightly slow to jump and was then crossed by other runners. Raced wide throughout.

EXCEEDINGLY BAY- Rider cautioned when crossing DRAGON TOPS at the 900m when not quite clear .


RACE 3 RAY WHITE DALBY HCP BENCHMARK 65 1400M

I’M NO PUSSY- lost both hind shoes prior to saddling and the course Farrier was unable to replate the horse. Permission given to race I’M NO PUSSY with no hind shoes. Drifted out on the home turn.

HARDMAN HARRY- slowly into stride after being crowded on jumping away.


RACE 4 PHYSICAL FIX PT HANDICAP CLASS B 1200M
S Apthorpe replaced R Kerwin on ANSOUIS.

IMILCHE- shifted out in the early stages. Hung in at the 1000m. Appr R Payne was reprimanded for allowing IMILCHE to move in and tighten the running of CAZNOT resulting in the rider B Appo having to ease. Hung out at 800m.


RACE 5 DALBY RUGBY UNION 50th ANNIVERSARY HANDICAP OPEN 1200M

DR BARNARD rider advised that the gelding hung out for last 200m causing difficulty to the rider in riding the horse out.
