Race 2: Ergon Energy Plough Inn Cup Weight For Age 1400m As a result of the delay in Race 1, the starting times for the following races were amended as follows:: Race 2 1.58 pm;; Race 3 2.28 pm; Race 4 2.56 pm. BALLINA BAYY - Declared a late scratching at 1.54 pm after the mare refused to parade to the start. Raced in restricted room for a short distance near the 900m. SCHEMEL Began awkwardly. THE EQUINE BOLT Began awkwardly. Steadied from heels for some distance passing the 600m. GLENTURRET Tightened for room at the start and lost ground.. Apprentice M. Schrapel reported that his mount did not stretch out for the majority of the event, which he attributed to the horse resenting the firm surface today.. Trainer D. Murphy could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance of the horse, however he stated that the horse has a history of being somewhat inconsistent with its form.. He added that before its next start she would experiment with the horsees gear and if possible engage a senior rider for the horse.. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities. LYNARD SKYNARD Bumped at the start. LIBERTY JANE Raced in restricted room for a short distance near the 900m.. Raced 3 wide without cover throughout the event. WILD ELEMENT Raced wide with cover throughout the event. Race 5: Dalby Machinery Centre Open HHcap 1000m SEQ THE STARR N. Tomiwawa replaced S. Sweeney as the rider of the horse as there was no suitable apprentice available. MONTE LAGO Made contact with the running rail of its own accord near the 550m.. Apprentice jockey H. Phillips was fined $100 for her use of the whip on more than 5 occasions prior to the 100m. Race 6:: Dalby Diehards & Wheatmen 2017 Premiers Dalby Cup Open HHcap 1400m JUST AS LOYAL - E. Ljung replaced S. Sweeney as the rider of the horse. Slow to begin. UNBOWED Raced keenly in the early stages. MICKEY DAZZLER On return top scale jockey S. Apthorpe reported that after being caught wide in the early stages, the gelding was inclined to overrace, however when placed under pressure it failed to respond to his riding and proved disappointing. Race 7:: Riot Fashions BenchMark 65 HHcap 1400m TRY NN CATCH ME Began awkwardly.. Held up and unable to improve from the 500m until the early stages of the home straight. GUD ONYA Jockey L. McCoy was reprimanded for her use of the whip on more than 5 occasions prior to the 100m. In assessing penalty stewards took into account her good record in relation to this rule.
