Race 1: DALBY & NORTHERN DOWNS JOCKEY CLUB INC. BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP- 1400M
 
PRICELESS DE HERO – Apprentice S. Wilcock could offer no tangible explanation for the seemingly disappointing performance. Post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
 
ROCKUZZO – Bumped by another runner shortly after the start. Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
CHASINGWAGTAILS – Slow into stride. Bumped on the hind quarters by another runner rounding the home turn. Jockey R. Goltz reported that the mare hung in for the majority.
 
Race 2: VAL'S VAN MAIDEN PLATE – 1300M
 
BRITZEL – Jockey J. Missen could offer no explanation for the disappointing performance. Post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
 
BABYLON EXPRESS – Slow to muster speed. Jockey H. Phillips reported that the mare hung out until the 600m.
 
LOVE PUZZLE – Jockey C. Eaton could offer no explanation for the disappointing other than that the mare may have jarred up. Post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
 
COMPLETE TRUST – Slow into stride.
 
PATRICK’S ME MATE – Raced 3 wide with cover throughout.
 
ENCHANTED REIGN – Raced wide throughout.
 
ROCK EASY – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
MISSGOODYTWOSHOES – Jockey L. McCoy reported that the mare commenced to over race in the early stages and then when placed under pressure near the 600m failed to respond to her riding.
 
 
Race 3: BARRY JONES MEMBERS BAR AND DECK BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP– 1200M
 
SIDINA declared a late scratching at 10:30am after being injured in the float en route to the course.
 
VICTORY DANCE – Bumped shortly after the start.
 
WOLF TALES – Tightened for room between runners at the start.
 
TELLOFF – Began awkwardly and as a result Jockey H. Phillips right foot made contact with the barrier.
 
TE RANGI – Raced in restricted room near the 200m.
 
LEROY ROCKS – Raced keen in the early and middles stages. Near the 700m was forced wider and had to be steadied when VICTORY DANCE shifted out to secure clear running. Jockey P. Randall (VICTORY DANCE) was reprimanded.
 
Race 4: MYALL CREEK SLSC OPEN HANDICAP– 1100M
 
MACHU PICCHU – Laid out under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
HE’S A MORAL – Bumped near the 600m.
 
ROUGH EDDIE – Bumped near the 600m.
 
REMEMBER MARY – Steadied from heels over the final stages.
 
Race 5: WESTERN DOWNS MARINE & CANVAS BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP– 1000M
 
MELLORE – Began awkwardly. Laid out under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
GENG – Tightened for room between runners on jumping.
 
MEGASHOT – Post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have bled from both nostrils for the first occasion Trainer R. Connolly was advised that the gelding is ineligible to race for 3 months and before racing again must gallop satisfactorily over 1000m in the presence of a steward.
 
SWIFT RESPONSE – Began awkwardly.
 
ASK AUDREY – Tightened for room between runners and lost ground at the start. Made the home turn wide.
 
LUCKY AL – Began awkwardly.
 
IT’S MY TIME – Jockey J. Missen reported that the mare travelled well until being placed under pressure near the 300m, he could add no further explanation in relation to the disappointing performance. Raced wide throughout. Post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
