Henderson Race 1:ICON STEEL MAIDEN PLATE – 1000m MOSSET – Declared a late scratching at 7:36am on veterinary advice. Trainer D. Reynolds was advised the gelding will require a veterinary certificate prior to returning to racing. the start of this race was delayed when FRANCH DAZZLER underwent a veterinary examination where the gelding was found to be lame in the off hind leg. FRENCH DAZZLER was subsequently declared a late scratching at 1:30pm by order of the stewards. Stewards ordered that all monies invested in FRENCH DAZZLER be refunded with the following deductions to apply: 0 cents in the dollar for the win - #8 9 cents in the dollar for the place of winner - #88 cents in the dollar for 2nd placegetter – #39 cents in the dollar for 3rd placegetter - #5 Trainer G. Postle was advised the gelding would require a veterinary certificate prior to returning to racing. PEONY ROSE – Tightened for room shortly after the start and lost ground BIG TALK – Began awkwardly tightening another runner to the inside. SINE CURVE – Jockey M. Schrapel lost his near side iron shortly after the start becoming unbalanced and as a result was unable to ride his mount out, subsequently tailing off taking no competitive part in the event. VERVE – Raced wide without cover throughout the early and middle stages. Race 2:BMO CLASS B HANDICAP – 1000m BLAZING HARADA – Declared a late scratching on veterinary advice at 9:36am. Trainer D. Talbot was advised the gelding will require a veterinary certificate prior to returning to racing. MOUNTEBANK – Sustained an injury to the hind legs while being transported to the track. Declared a late scratching at 12:50pm on veterinary advice. Trainer J. Livingstone was advised the gelding would require a veterinary certificate prior to returning to racing. MAGIC MYSTERY – Began awkwardly. MISS MAGNOLIA – Fractious in barrier. Raced wide without cover throughout. OAKFIELD COMANCHE – Raced greenly throughout the early and middle stages. Hung out rounding the home turn forcing another runner wider on the track. Trainer K. Hamilton was advised the gelding would require a trial to the satisfaction of stewards prior to returning to racing. KONNICHIWA – Forced wider on the track rounding the home turn by another runner to the inside. Race 3:O'SHEA'S WINDSOR HOTEL QTIS BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP – 800m POETIC DRAGON – Slow to begin. Raced in restricted room for a short distance approaching the 400m. CATHVALANNA – Began awkwardly tightening runners to the outside. PATCHE GIFT. Tightened for room upon jumping and lost ground. NEWS DIRECTOR – Bumped by another runner upon jumping. Race 4:DALBY RUGBY RACES BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP – 1400m JOCHBERG – Raced three wide without cover from the 600m. APITHANOS – Slow into stride. ENTERPRISE GRAND – Jockey G. Geran was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for his use of the whip six times prior to the 100m. REDZEB – Raced three wide without cover in the early stages. BOILING – Laid out under pressure in the early part of the home straight. Race 5:WILLY WHEATMAN BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP – 1200m KOTA FLYER – Began awkwardly. SOGNI – Tightened for room shortly after the start and lost ground. RUN PAM RUN – Began awkwardly making contact with another runner to the outside. MAC’S GAL – Apprentice S. Barlow was reprimanded under AR.137(7)(a)(ii) for her use of whip six times prior to the 100m. BY THE LAW – Improved onto heels approaching the 700m and as a result was forced to shift out wider on the track. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. DONE IT AGAIN – Began awkwardly.
