Race 1: MURRAYS TYRES & MORE Maiden Handicap 1100 metres
 
FRENCH DAZZLER – Began awkwardly making heavy contact with another runner to the outside.
 
TOP MASTER – Bumped by another runner to the outside upon jumping.
 
SINGLE RISE – Began awkwardly. Bumped another runner to the inside approaching the 1000m. Inclined to race greenly throughout. Raced greenly when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
SIR PICCOLO – Tightened for room on jumping and lost ground. Laid in over the concluding stages.
 
BEAN DARE DUN DAT – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout the early and middle stages. Upon returning to scale App M Savva advised that her mount was inclined to lay out throughout.
 
OTTONIAN – As Jockey J Geppert was overweight Jockey L McCoy was the replacement rider on the gelding. Jockey J Geppert was issued a reprimand under AR190(3). When considering penalty Stewards took into consideration Mr Geppert’s exemplary record. 
 
JUST FOR GLORY - Blundered upon jumping. Shifted in making contact with another runner to the inside shortly after the start. Brushed by another runner approaching the 1000m. Inclined to lay in from the 800m.
 
KENDOJONES – Bumped heavily upon jumping and lost ground.
 
TERRAJOHNA – Bumped by another runner to the outside on jumping. Inclined to race greenly throughout.
 
Race 2: REECE PLUMBING BENCHMARK 58 Handicap 2000 metres
 
YANKEE TANGO – At a point leaving the 700m commenced to weaken taking no competitive part from that point. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Trainer S Potiris was advised that the gelding would be required to trial prior to racing again.
 
MOSS GO NOW – Slow to begin.
 
RESONARE – Jockey K Yoshida was issued a $400 fine under AR132(5) for using his whip in an excessive manner, that being 16 occasions.
 
IN YOUR ELEMENT – Raced wide without cover until approaching the 700m.
 
MAGIC WISHES – Began awkwardly. Raced keenly in the early and middles stages and settled further forward than anticipated. Stewards questioned App S Stephan in regards to the tactics adopted on the mare. App S Stephan advised that after beginning well her mount began to race keenly and as a result, was unable to settle further back as anticipated. App S Stephan further advised that due to the softer conditions of today’s racing surface she elected to maintain a wider position on the track. Stewards noted the explanation.
 
Race 3: FUTURE FUEL DISTRIBUTORS BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1400 metres
 
VENECIA – Slipped on jumping and lost considerable ground.
 
COURT RULES – Apprentice E MacPherson was issued a $500 fine under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for using her whip on 9 occasions prior to the 100m, 4 more than permitted.
 
BY THE LAW – Raced wide 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
CALL ME THEROUX – Began awkwardly. 
 
FORT MYER – At a point leaving the 500m threw its head in the air whilst being restrained after being placed in restricted room for a short distance. When questioned regarding the matter Jockey J Murphy advised that after receiving minor pressure from COURT RULES (App E MacPherson) which was racing to the outside, was placed in restricted room and then forced to restrain the gelding which in his opinion over reacted, resulting in him loosing further ground. App E MacPherson was issued a reprimand under AR131(a) in that she permitted her mount to shift in when insufficiently clear resulting in another runner being checked and losing ground.
 
ALL ELLIE – Bumped by another runner on jumping.
 
Race 4: DALBY LEAGUES CLUB Maiden Handicap 800 metres
 
The start was delayed when ZEENOTES proved difficult to load. The start was further delayed when ZEENOTES required a gear adjustment.
 
YUPPIE – Fractious in the barriers. Inclined to lay in throughout.
 
BELTANA – Hung out rounding the home turn forcing BELASYN (J Murphy) and MANDO ROCK (S Bogenhuber) wider onto the track.
 
HALOHAYLEY – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
WARARBA – Hung out from the 500m taking YUPPIE (App A Jones) and MISS CRUISEY (App E MacPherson) wider on the track.
 
ZEENOTES – Began awkwardly resulting in Jockey J Geppert becoming momentarily unbalanced.
 
MANDO ROCK – Tightened for room at the start and lost ground. Inclined to lay in in the home straight.
 
MOSKOGEE – Tightened for room, checked and lost ground leaving the 750m when BELASYN (Jockey J Murphy) shifted in when insufficiently clear. Jockey J Murphy was found guilty of a charge under AR131(a) in that leaving the 750m permitted his mount to shift in when insufficiently clear of MOSKOGEE ridden by Jockey R Faehr, resulting in that runner being tightened for room, checked and lost ground. Jockey J Murphy’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of 9 days to commence midnight 20/12/20 and to conclude midnight 29/12/20.Steadied from heels near the 700m. 
 
BELASYN – Began awkwardly tightening another runner to the outside.
 
GOLDEN FEMME – Slow to begin.
 
Race 5: WARREGO WATER Colts, Geldings and Entires BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1100 metres
 
FAV’S FLYER was declared a late scratching @8:19. Trainer L Hatch was issued a $100 fine under LR68 for failing to scratch by the prescribed time.
 
The start was delayed when DRAGON BALL underwent a pre-race veterinary examination. Subsequently DRAGON BALL was declared a late scratching at 4:36pm on veterinary advice.
Upon the declaration of correct weight stewards ordered that all monies invested on DRAGON BALL be refunded with the following deductions to apply to successful bets placed prior to 4:36pm –

 0 cents in the dollar for the win - #1
 3 cents in the dollar for the place of winner - #1
 4 cents in the dollar for 2nd placegetter – #9
 2 cents in the dollar for 3rd placegetter - #5
 
Trainer D Ebert was advised the gelding would require a veterinary certificate prior to next racing
 
JUST FAVULOUS – Began awkwardly. Raced 3 wide without cover throughout the middle stages.
 
RIVER SPAN – Fractious in the barriers.  Approaching the 700m raced in restricted room for a short distance and was forced to ease.
 
MR NODDY – Began awkwardly. Inclined to lay in throughout.
 
PRIOR ENGAGEMENT – Trainer J Hearne was issued a $100 fine under AR206(1) for presenting the gelding fitted with unapproved gear.
 
Race 6: PEST WORX Fillies and Mares BENCHMARK 55 Handicap 1100 metres
 
SEE FOR YOURSELF – Began awkwardly making heavy contact with a runner to the outside and as a result the rider became unbalanced for a short distance.
 
AMERICAN CROWN – Sustained a laceration to the gum in the tie up stalls. The mare underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was subsequently passed fit to start.
 
MILLY WILL PARTY – Began awkwardly, threw its head in the air and as a result shifted out abruptly resulting in its rider almost becoming dislodged and lost considerable ground. Trainer L Hatch was advised the mare would need to trial to the satisfaction of the stewards prior to racing again.
 
CHEESIE – Began awkwardly making contact with runners to the inside. Leaving the 800m was forced to steady from the heels of RAKU’S SECRET (App T Townsend) and lost ground when RAKU’S SECRET shifted in when insufficiently clear. Apprentice T Townsend was issued a reprimand under AR131(a).
 
RAKU'S SECRET – Apprentice Tessa Townsend was issued a $300 fine under AR132(7)(a)(ii) in that she used her whip on 8 occasions prior to the 100m, 3 more than permitted.
 
THE OLD BIRD – Tightened for room at the start.
 
Race 7: WESTERN DOWNS MARINE & CANVAS Class 2 Handicap 1200 metres
 
SWEET VENOM – After becoming fractious and rearing in the barriers the mare underwent a veterinary examination. Subsequently SWEET VENOM was declared a late scratching @ 5:49pm on veterinary advice. Upon the declaration of correct weight stewards ordered that all monies invested on SWEET VENOM be refunded with the following deductions to apply to successful bets placed prior to 5:49pm –

4 cents in the dollar for the win - #1
6 cents in the dollar for the place of winner - #1
4 cents in the dollar for 2nd placegetter – #3
10 cents in the dollar for 3rd placegetter - #8
 
Trainer G Richardson was advised that the mare would require a veterinary certificate and a trial to the satisfaction of stewards prior to racing again.
 
WOLFF BOSS – At a point leaving the 800m laid in for a short distance.
 
BESTERS – Trainer C Smithwas issued a reprimand under AR67 due to the late declaration of a rider on the gelding. When considering penalty Stewards took into consideration Mr. C Smiths’ exemplary record. Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
QUEEN LEAR – Trainer B Gorman was issued a $300 fine under AR67 due to the late declaration of a rider on the mare. When considering penalty Stewards took into consideration Mr Gorman’s poor record being that this would be Mr Gorman’s 13th breach in less than 12 months.
 
RUN THE CUTTER – Knuckled on jumping.
 
DE VEGA PEACH – Raced keenly during the early stages. leaving the 800m shifted out to avoid heels for a short distance before shifting back in crowding the running of CAMP RIFLE (App Z Lloyd) and resulting in CAMP RIFLE steading for a short distance.
