Race 1: DELMICK STEEL MAIDEN PLATE 3-Y & UP SET WEIGHTS 1200M
 
DAULAT SUPREMOLEON - Began awkwardly. Tailed off from the 1100m and took no competitive part in the event. Trainer P. Blackwell advised that although the horse began awkwardly, he expected it to be forward showing in todays event and in his opinion proved disappointing. Jockey D. Boutet advised that after beginning poorly the horses raced greenly and in his opinion was unable to stride out. He further added that due to the horse’s actions he elected to withdraw his mount from the event as he was concerned for the safety of himself and his mount. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. Trainer P. Blackwell was advised that a warning would be placed on the horse.
 
JONDY BARNABY- Bumped by TAKEMEOUTBACK on jumping. Tightened for room and lost ground shortly after the start.
 
TAKEMEOUTBACK- Jumped out abruptly at the start and made contact with JONDY BARNABY.
 
MATILDA GENE- Raced wide without cover in the early stages.
 
ZARAGIGI – Raced wide throughout.
 
 
Race 2: BMO BUSINESS CENTRE QTIS CLASS 1 HANDICAP 1200M
 
SOLARCH - Began awkwardly and made contact with TWOGOBOOM. Following the event, Trainer K, Geran was reminded of her obligations to conduct herself appropriately at all times.
 
WEATHER MAN- Raced wide throughout the early and middle stages.
 
SPOOLING – Began awkwardly and lost ground after making contact with TWOGOBOOM. Tailed off from the 1000m point.
 
TWOGOBOOM – Bumped on jumping and lost ground.
 
Race 3: DALBY RUGBY RACES CLASS B HANDICAP 1400M
 
 
WAITAKERE- Approaching the 1300m point did shift in to improve his position. As a result the rider of STELLAR WAY G. Geran had to ease slightly. Jockey J. Oliver was reminded of his obligation to ensure that when shifting ground, he is to provide sufficient room. Laid in under pressure over the final stages.
 
MANHATTANITE- Weakened from the 200m. On returning to the scale, Jockey B. Newport advised that his mount felt awkward n its action throughout the run. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to have sustained an injury to the off-fore tendon. Trainer B. Strong was advised that MANHATTANITE would require a Vet Certificate prior to racing again.
 
MISHANI PHAROAH- Began awkwardly. Shifted in shortly after the start and made contact with MANHATTANITE.
 
MRS SHMICKELBERG- Race wide throughout.
 
 
Race 4: O’SHEA’S WINDSOR HOTEL DALBY BENCHMARK 60 HANDICAP 800M
 
PIRACY- due to the weight allocated to the Gelding Stewards ordered that it be vetted post-race with no abnormalities detected.
 
VICEMAN- At a point approaching the 400m, shifted out to improve and as a result clipped heels and was forced to restrain.
 
SHOTGUN SONNY- Laid out rounding the home turn.
 
I PROMISE YOU- Began awkwardly.
 
SERTIN- Slow to begin, Lost ground at the 400m when METRO TRAMP shifted out marginally
 
IGBO- Laid out under pressure over the final stages.
 
METRO TRAMP- Began awkwardly, trailed the field in the early stages. Approaching the 400m, raced in restricted room and was forced to restrain when attempting a narrow run.
 
Race 5: WILLY WHEATMAN BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1788M
 
CREDENZA- Blundered at the 300m mark. A post-race veterinary examination failed to find any abnormalities. Jockey Richardson later reported to Stewards that the Gelding had lost a near fore plate in running.
 
PATRICKS ME MATE- Slow to begin and settled further back than expected. Trailed the field for the majority of the event until the 300m point when it began to improve. Raced wide over the final 200m of the event. A post-race veterinary examination failed to find any abnormalities.
 
HAPPY FRANK- Shifted in over the final stages.
