GENERAL
 
The following over-weights were permitted by Stewards:
 
Race 7- N Fazackerley +0.5kg
 
 
As Jockey J Huxtable and App I Rabjones were not riding at todays meeting rider changes were made as per Stewards race day summary.
 
 
Race 1: 1PROPERTY CENTRE QTIS 2yo HANDICAP 800m
 
AL PAL’S GAL- Bumped on jumping. Brushed the inside running rail passing the 250m.
 
ROSE’N’GAILS XENA- Began awkwardly and slow to begin. Hung out throughout and was unable to be ridden out down the running as a result. Trainer J Banks was advised the filly would be required to trial satisfactorily prior to again being permitted to start in a race.
 
SO ODELIA- Began awkwardly and bumped on jumping. Obliged to steady off heels passing the 700m.
 
PURPLE SONG- Whilst shifting in dipped momentarily and shifted in abruptly taking MISHANI JEWEL (G Cartwright) in onto the running of SO ODELIA (App M Philpot) which was obliged to steady passing the 700m. App M Castle was reprimanded as a result of this incident and advised to exercise greater effort in straightening her mount in similar circumstances.
 
TEQUILA DANCER- Inclined to lay in under pressure down the running.
 
 
Race 2: HOME HARDWARE MAIDEN PLATE 800m
 
DEEJAY CEE- Began awkwardly and was slow into stride before becoming awkwardly placed on heels soon after having to be steadied.
 
OUTLAW JOSEY WALES- Shifted out and bumped with THE LOUT on jumping becoming unbalanced, shifting in and bumping with KEFA. Bumped heavily leaving the 700m and shifted out bumping with CONTESSA NILE.
 
KEFA- Began awkwardly. Bumped soon after the start. Raced keenly in the early stages. Inconvenienced approaching the 600m when THE LOUT shifted in whilst racing greenly.
 
THE LOUT- Shifted in bumping with OUTLAW JOSEY WALES on jumping. Shifted inside the line of the course proper before shifting out and bumping heavily with OUTLAW JOSEY WALES before again shifting in and inconveniencing KEFA approaching the 600m.
 
COURTING ROCK- Shifted in, despite the efforts of its rider, passing the 450m hampering RIVA’S ANGEL.
 
DRUMS ON FIRE- Bumped on jumping.
 
RIVA’S ANGEL- Shifted in bumping on jumping. Crowded and shifted in bumping the inside running rail passing the 450m.
 
SHEZANUISANCE- Slow to begin an eased off heels soon after the start. Taken wider on the track by CONTESSA NILE which hung out passing the 500m.
 
CONTESSA NILE- Bumped approaching the 500m and commenced to hang out taking SHEZANUISANCE wider on the track. Trainer R Milne was advised the filly would be required to trial prior to again being permitted to start in a race.
 
 
 
Race 3: CLEANING & CATERING BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1100m
 
RESONARE- Trainer J Hearne was fined $200 under the provisions of AR227(a) for negligence in presenting the gelding to the mounting yard with unstitched bandages. Approaching the 900m, whilst racing keenly on heels, shifted in causing LADY MELBA to be momentarily hampered. Jockey S Apthorpe was advised to exercise greater care in similar circumstances. Crowded for room for a short distance passing the 700m.
 
LADY MELBA- Began awkwardly and lost ground consequently settling further back than expected as a result. Shifted out around heels to obtain clear running passing the 150m.
 
CHAMBERLAIN- Bumped soon after jumping.
 
WOLFF BOSS- Bumped soon after jumping.
 
YANGSEA- Commenced to race keenly once crossed by another runner leaving the 1000m and continued to over-race until a point near the 800m.
 
SERTIN- On returning to scale App S Stephan advised that her saddle had slipped on jumping placing her at a disadvantage from that point on. Raced wide for the majority.
 
CHEESIE- Raced wide for the majority.
 
WAIT A MINUTE- App O Webb was reprimanded under the provisions of AR132(7)(a)(ii) in that she did use her whip on 6 occasions, 1 more than permitted, prior to the 100m.
 
HARDLANDING- Performed below market expectations. Jockey H Richardson advised that, in her opinion, her mount may not have handled the tighter circuit or the softer going of todays racing surface, adding that the stable had expected a more forward showing. Trainer G Richardson undertook to advise Stewards should anything become apparent regarding the geldings condition in the coming days.
 
 
 
Race 4: G.J.GARDNER HOMES DALBY & CHINCHILLA BENCHMARK 55 HANDICAP 1100m
 
BY BY MUSIC- Began awkwardly and bumped on jumping. Inclined to lay in under pressure down the running.
 
COMFORTABLY NUMB- Bumped on jumping.
 
SEEKING GUIDANCE- Buffeted on jumping.
 
WHISTLE HOFF- Bumped on jumping.
 
PERSIAN KING- Bumped on jumping.
 
BLAVATSKY- After being caught wide in the early stages was restrained in an effort to obtain a position closer to the inside running rail settling at the rear of the field.
 
LOVESON- After beginning well and being caught in a wide position early was pressured to obtain a forward position settling further forward than expected.
 
MISTRESS OF DOOM- Inclined to lay out passing the 800m before shifting in marginally and becoming awkwardly placed on heels for a short distance as a result. Raced wide for the majority.
 
REACHFORTHESTARS- Steadied off heels momentarily passing the 500m. Raced wide for the majority.
 
 
Race 5: DALBY & DISTRICT FRIENDLY SOCIETY DISPENSARY LTD MAIDEN PLATE 1400m
 
BRINGTHELOVE- Trainer S Tregea was fined the sum of $200 under the provisions of LR67 for late declaration of rider on the gelding. Inclined to lay out approaching the 400m and dipped in its action leaving the 400m.
 
HALLSIDE WILDTHING- Bumped on jumping. Raced wide for the majority.
 
HOT SHIRAZ- Bumped on jumping. Inclined to lay out under pressure down the running. App M Philpot was cautioned for her use of the whip on a beaten runner.
 
TWO SHADES- Began awkwardly and shifted out bumping another runner. Shifted in marginally passing the 1100m momentarily hampering BLUE CORNER, which had been racing ungenerously. Raced wide for the majority. App E Macpherson was cautioned for her use of the whip on a beaten runner.
 
BLUE CORNER- Raced ungenerously from the 1150m and was momentarily hampered passing the 1000m and shifted in. Was crowded passing the 800m and shifted in.
 
LICENSE TO ROCK- Crowded passing the 800m.
 
IT MUST BE LOVE- Raced wide for the majority.
 
 
Race 6: THYME TO PLATE CATERING CO BENCHMARK 62 HANDICAP 1400m
 
SEA ECHO- Shifted out and bumped another runner on jumping.
 
SWEET VENOM- Shifted in bumping another runner on jumping. Inclined to race keenly in the early stages. Shifted out and bumped another runner passing the 1000m. Inclined to lay out under pressure down the running.
 
BEACH CLUB- Slow to begin and became awkwardly placed on heels having to be momentarily steadied soon after. Raced keenly passing the 1000m. Inclined to lay in under pressure down the running.
 
BRACKEN- Bumped soon after the start. Bumped passing the 1000m. Bumped passing the 150m.
 
HICHERLOVE- Bumped soon after the start. Raced wide for the majority.
 
REST OF THE WORLD- Over-race passing the 1100m and continued to race keenly for some distance thereafter. Momentarily held up for clear running in the early stages of the home straight.
 
AVOCA- Raced keenly passing the 1000m. Momentarily crowded passing the 800m. Jockey B Stewart was reprimanded under the provisions of AR132(7)(a)(ii) in that he did use his whip on 6 occasions, 1 more than permitted, prior to the 100m.
 
TRACKMAN- Bumped passing the 150m.
 
MILITARY KINGS- Jockey P Hamblin advised that his mount never travelled comfortably in running, was under pressure early and performed disappointingly. Jockey Hamblin added that, in his opinion, the gelding had come to the end of its prep and would benefit from a freshen up.
 
 
Race 7: DALBY CABS RATINGS BAND 0-55 HANDICAP 1400m
 
 
MODERN FAMILY- Slow to begin and was slow into stride. App S Stephan advised that her mount never travelled comfortably in running.
 
MARCADA- Began awkwardly. Taken wider by another runner passing the 1300m. Held up for clear running in the early stages of the home straight.
 
BURGUNDY RULES- Shifted out passing the 1300m taking MARCADA wider. Jockey M Hellyer was advised to exercise greater care in similar circumstances.
 
CRAIGLEA BANDIT- Inclined to over-race in the early and middle stages racing wide from the 1000m to the 800m as result before shifting in momentarily hampering STATIC LIFT.
 
STATIC LIFT- Eased momentarily passing the 800m when a runner to the outside shifted in. Inclined to lay in under pressure down the running.
 
DOUBLE CHOICES- Raced wide for the majority.
 
 
 
Race 8: AUSTBROKERS CLASS 3 HANICAP 1788m
 
SAMHAIN- Trainer L Hatch was reprimanded under the provisions of LR67 for the late declaration of rider on the mare. Bumped by another runner passing the 1500m. Blundered soon after the winning post causing App O Kendall to become unbalanced, soon after slipped and fell dislodging App Kendall. Stewards adjourned an inquiry into the matter to a date and time to be fixed. The Mare underwent a post-race veterinary examination which failed to reveal an significant abnormalities. App Kendall was transported to Dalby Hospital with a suspected collarbone injury. App Kendall will be advised she will require a medical and a cognitive assessment prior to race riding again.
 
ALIRAAJ- Fractious in the barrier. Inclined to shift out under pressure down the running. Stewards adjourned an inquiry into the reason/s SAMHAIN (App O Kendall) was dislodged soon after passing the winning post. Stewards took initial evidence from Jockey’s M Hellyer and T Marshall (GOT THE LOT) and determined that a significant contributing factor of the incident was the racing manners of ALIRAAJ which shifted out abruptly after the winning post. As such Stewards advised Trainer M Kropp that the gelding would be required to trial satisfactorily prior to again being permitted to start in a race.
 
TAKUNAI- Bumped on jumping. Improved onto heels passing the 1500m and shifted out bumping with another runner.
 
BUDDY’S TALE- Bumped on jumping. Raced wide in the early stages and was bumped by another runner passing the 1500m.
 
ULTIMATE POWER- Raced wide in the early stages.
