QUEENSLAND RACING INTEGRITY COMMISSION STEWARDS REPORT BRISBANE RACING CLUB AT DEAGON – SUNDAY 14 JULY 2019 WEATHER – FINE TRACK RATING – SOFT 5 / GOOD 4 after RACE 2RAIL – TRUE OFFICIALS Chairman of Stewards – N Boyle Stewards – P ZimmermannClerk of Scales – G TozerJudge – I Schultz, T Williams Veterinarian – Dr S McGinnessSwab attendants – A SchofieldStarter – S Lister,R Smith GENERAL – As apprentice Nicole Seymour is ill and unable to fulfil her engagement in Race 2 on Blue Monty, Stewards permitted apprentice Adam Spinks to be the replacement rider. Race 1: Jim McKeering Real Estate/ Whopper Stephens Maiden Plate 1100m LOVES YER ALL- Late scratching by order of Stewards at 12.00pm.Trainer L Hatch pleaded guilty to a charge under AR181(1)(a) for failing to scratch the filly by the prescribed time. After hearing submissions in relation to penalty, Stewards noted that his failure to scratch LOVES YER ALL cost an emergency a start in the race. Trainer L Hatch was fined the sum of $400. VERVE – Began awkwardly. BRAVADO MISS – Bumped on jumping. MR MOONLIGHT – Began awkwardly. SIZZLING DIAMOND – Jumped outwards. Raced wide rounding the home turn. MONT MONT – Crowded between runners on jumping and lost ground. Held up rounding the turn. MEXICAN YELL – Jumped inwards and then raced three wide without cover throughout. SIC BO – Raced three wide with cover throughout. Race 2: Councillor Jared Cassidy & Family Apprentice Cup Class 2 Plate 1300m DARK FORCE- Passing the 800m had to be restrained from heels. BRAD THE LAD – Began awkwardly, bumped STELLAR JEWEL and lost ground. Raced three wide without cover throughout. STELLAR JEWEL – Began awkwardly and bumped heavily with BRAD THE LAD. BLUE MONTE – Began awkwardly. After the running of this race the track was upgraded to a Good 4. Race 3: Radio Tab / Wayne Wilson Benchmark 55 Handicap 1650m MARLAHN – Lost the near hind plate in running. INVERRAY – Began awkwardly and passing the 900m bumped heavily with ROCKUZZO when attempting to shift that horse out to improve. ROCKUZZO – After racing in a rearward position in the early stages, the rider elected to shift three wide to improve and passing the 900m was bumped heavily by INVERRAY which attempted to shift out and improve. Race 4: The Bracken Ridge Tavern Deagon Cup Benchmark 70 Handicap 1650m CANONGATE – Raced three wide without cover throughout. Laid in under pressure passing the 200m causing its rider to stop riding and straighten. VOLOMITE – Passing the 200m was bumped by CANONGATE which laid in. ABLE BONNY – Passing the 1300m had to be steadied from the heels of CANONGATE. Race 5: Regal Signs & Designs Benchmark 60 Handicap 1100m MIGHTY MOOSE – Blundered on jumping. TIZ – Began awkwardly. DEXTER DUTTON – Raced three wide without cover throughout. BIG LITTLE LIES – Raced three wide with cover throughout. ROYAL EQUINAO – Raced three wide with cover throughout. Passing the 200m was bumped and became unbalanced when TINS POCKET shifted out to improve. STEWARDS RACE DAY SUMMARY Summary of action concerning licensees Suspensions - Nil Fines- Race 1.
