SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
From SCTC, 17.10.14 – Race 3
Stewards today concluded an inquiry from the above meeting, jockey T. Harrison, rider of Nada To Prada, after having been found guilty of careless riding was suspended from riding in races for a period covered by 7 meetings, commencing after the expiration of a previously incurred suspension, at midnight, 2 November, up to and including 14 November. Furthermore, Miss Harrison was interviewed regarding the circumstances surrounding her leaving the course without having received permission to do so. After taking into account Miss Harrison’s explanation, and given the circumstances of the 5 days leading into the this race meeting, stewards noted her explanation, however advised Miss Harrison that this would not be an action that would be accepted in future.
Race 1: River Junction’s Go The Cat QTIS 2yo H'cap – 1050m
THE WILDMAN – Slow to begin. Steadied away from heels passing the 800m. Disappointed for clear running near the 200m. Rider T. Harrison was advised to exercise more care after allowing her mount to shift ground near the 150m, causing another runner to be steadied.
BOTTEGA LOUIE – Slow to begin. Had to be steadied away from heels of another runner near the 150m.
LADY SNIPER – Slow to begin.
BIAGIATTI – Had to be steadied away from heels passing the 800m.
PATRONIZING – Rider L. Tarrant accidentally dropped his whip near the 300m.
SAYS ME – Had to be steadied to avoid heels near the 200m.
Race 2: T & J Whitehouse QTIS 3yo H'cap – 1640m
COMANDO BATTAGLIA – Pulled hard in the middle stages and allowed to stride forward and raced wide from the 800m. Bumped leaving the 300m.
PINKMAN – Shifted in abruptly leaving the 300m and made heavy contact with another runner.
ROGALI – After being bumped leaving the 300, shifted in and made contact with another runner.
TANZANITE LUCK – Rider S. Payne was reprimanded for using his whip on his mount when it was out of contention.
Race 3: Blackdown Accommodation Services Class 6 H'cap – 1640m
VAZ DE TORRES – Slow to begin.
STORM PELOTARI – Raced wide in the early and middle stages.
WHAT ABOUT ME – Shifted in on straightening, causing another runner to be steadied. Rider J. Orman was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground.
SALUT THE SOLUTION – Steadied from heels upon straightening. Held up over the concluding stages.
SEA RED – Rider B. Grylls reported at scale that her mount raced flat and did not finish the race off as she expected.
Race 4: Easy As Pool Cleaning – Rockhampton Open H'cap – 2040m
BINGO ROSE – Held up for some distance rounding the home turn.
VOLKHERE – Raced wide throughout.
TRAKSTAR – A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
Race 5: Cargo Transport Systems CG&E Benchmark 75 H'cap – 1350m
DASH FOR VIZ – Trainer K. J. Miller was fined $100 for presenting the horse with incorrect gear. Had difficulty obtaining clear running inside the 200m.
OLD FEELING – Jockey J. Morris was fined $200 for using his whip more than 5 times prior to the 100m.
Race 6: Stanton Mienert Accountants F&M Benchmark 75 H'cap – 1350m
VITRUVIAN LADY – Shifted out abruptly at the start and hampered a number of runners.
RIGHTEOUS MISS – Hampered on jumping away.
VERGARA – Hampered at the start.
GOTITALLWRONG – Hampered on jumping away. Shifted out under pressure in the straight.
CRUZ BY – Checked shortly after the start.
KALANDJULA – Stood flatfooted on jumping away and missed the start by 3 lengths. Trainer B. Hill advised that the mare would now be sent for a spell.
GREAT CHEER – A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any significant abnormalities.
Race 7: Qantac Pty Ltd Open H'cap – 1200m
No racing incidents.
Race 8: QCV Accommodation Villages Class 6 Plate - 1110m
GALLINARI – The explanation from trainer B. Dais was accepted for failing to notify a rider by the prescribed time. Raced wide without cover.
I’M USAIN – Jumped away awkwardly. When the pace steadied rounding the first turn, got its head up and had to be restrained and raced ungenerously when the pace steadied rounding the first turn.
COMMANDARE - Raced 3 wide without cover.
