CHOICE BRO – Raced wide without cover after leaving the 800m. App J. App Orman stated that he had heard a call from a rider to his inside and as a result eased his mount outwards to provide sufficient racing room to the runners to his inside. After viewing the video App Orman agreed he had erred in shifting wider at that time and should have maintained his position to the outside of JOPA.

Heathcote stated that the gelding may not have appreciated the step up in distance at its previous start of 1400m and the gelding may have been too fresh for that event. Mr Heathcote added that the gelding was more suited today racing over 1200m with a genuine tempo.
