Munce stated that the gelding was disappointing at its previous start at the Sunshine Coast on a soft track, however given that the gelding was down in weight today, with apprentice Fancourt’s claim, and the firmer racing surface, he was not surprised by the improved showing.WUZETIAN – Raced wide without cover.RUSTIC PLAY – Raced wide throughout. Race 2: QANTAS FOUNDERS MUSEUM OPEN H’CAP – 2030MLOCK’S LEGEND – Held up rounding the home turn and then laid in under pressure over the concluding stages.CANNY BALLAD – Overraced in the early stages. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding had small punctures to the outside of the near fore cannon and the front of the off fore cannonSONY LEGEND – Raced ungenerously when being steadied near the 900m.
