SUPPLEMENTARY REPORTS:
 
From Eagle Farm Race Meeting 1 November 2016 – Race 3
 
J. Byrne (REALING) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding in that he allowed his mount to shift in approaching the 1000m when insufficiently clear of a runner to his inside, which had to be checked. In assessing penalty stewards took into account jockey Byrne’s good careless riding record, his guilty plea and the effort he made to prevent the interference once he improved to the inside of the heels of another runner.  In all the circumstances jockey Byrne was suspended for a period of ten (10) days to commence immediately and expire midnight 15 November 2016.
 
SHARPAMAL (J. Morris) clipped heels, blundered and lost ground near the 1000m.
 
Inside the 200m J. Lloyd (ROSES OF JOY) had to steady away from the heels of REALING (J. Byrne).  J. Byrne was advised to exercise more care when shifting ground.
 
From Eagle Farm Race Meeting 1 November 2016 – Race 4
 
Stewards opened an inquiry into an incident near the 1100m.  App L. Tarrant (ASHIKO) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding in that he allowed his mount to shift in when not fully clear of runners to his inside, resulting in KING’S MEN (B. Pengelly) having to be checked.  App Tarrant’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of eleven (11) days to commence midnight 6 November 2016 and expire midnight 17 November 2016.
 
Near the 1000m both MAGNORMOUS (J. Byrne) and TAIKO BOOM (J. Lloyd) had to steady off heels.
 
After leaving the 1000m KING’S MEN again had to be checked.
 
Over the concluding stages NORTHERN REVENGE (App S. Fawke) had to steady away from heels.
 
App B. Grylls (SHARP SPEEDO) was reprimanded for allowing her mount to shift out over the concluding stages when not fully clear.
 
From Ipswich Turf Club Meeting 3 November 2016 – Race 6
 
MAJELLA MAGIC – Trainer T. Gollan reported that the mare had pulled up with a muscle tear in the neck/upper chest.  Stewards advised Mr Gollan that the mare would require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again.
 
 
Race 1: St Vincent’s/Mount Olivet Open H'Cap – 2000m
 
MY DIAMANTINE – Knuckled at the start.  Lost a near fore plate in running.  A post race veterinary examination revealed a small laceration to the inside of the near fore heel. 
 
TRAKSTAR – A post race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed no abnormalities.
 
Following the running of this event the track was upgraded to a Good 3 retrospective.
 
Race 2: Dr Lilian Cooper QTIS 2YO H’Cap – 1110m
 
CABIN FEVER – Jumped away awkwardly.  Taken wider by another runner on the home turn. Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.  
 
DARKTOWN STRUTTER – Hampered at the start.  A post race veterinary examination revealed the filly to have a slight short action in the off fore leg together with some abrasions on the fetlock. 
 
GO DAISY – Raced greenly throughout. Near the 250m hung in and had to be checked from the heels of DARKTOWN STRUTTER.
 
EMINENT – Jockey M. Cahill reported his mount hung in from the 600m placing him at a disadvantage.
 
Race 3: Zouki Group QTIS 3YO H'Cap – 1110m
 
PINCH MOUNTAIN – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.  Trainer R. Heathcote advised that after its disappointing performance the gelding would now be spelled.
 
TIYATROLANI – When questioned regarding the performance of the filly jockey T. Harrison stated that after beginning awkwardly she pressed forward to the lead, as at its previous start she had taken a trail, which was contrary to the instructions, however in her opinion the filly did not finish off the race as she had expected.  A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
Race 4: The Eileen And William Duffus Memorial F&M Benchmark 80 H'Cap – 1350m
 
WHERE’S THATDRAGON – Slow to begin.  Jockey J. Lloyd reported at scale that his mount was making an abnormal respiratory noise.  A post race veterinary examination revealed the mare to have been galloped on the near hind leg and had a laceration on back of cannon.  Lost a near hind plate in running.
 
KALANDULA – Slow to begin.
 
FLEUR D’ORAGE – Slow to begin.
 
FAICONI – Bumped at the start and was then buffeted by WHERE’S THATDRAGON for some distance after the start.
 
BIDII BABE – Near the 50m had to be steadied when tightened for room between runners.  Raced in restricted room over the final stages.
 
VENECIA – App A. Fancourt reported at scale that her mount was inclined to lay out throughout the event.
 
Race 5: Assa Signs Colts, Geldings & Entires Benchmark 80 H'Cap – 1350m
 
SILENTO – Slow to begin.
 
STELLA OMBRA – Overraced in the early stages.
 
FIRE WITHIN – Hung in approaching and passing the 900m.
 
HUDSON COUNTY – Jockey R. Wiggins accidentally dropped his whip near the 400m.
 
PALACE TYCOON – Raced 3 wide throughout.
 
IGNEOUS – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
Race 6: Superior Food Service Class 3 Plate – 1110m
 
FIERY HEIGHTS – Raced 3 wide without cover until the 500m.
 
MATILDARE – Had to be checked severely to avoid the heels of another checked runner and then shifted out abruptly passing the 900m.
 
CONFRONTING – Taken in approaching the first turn.  Jockey L. Cassidy reported that his mount blundered near the 50m.
 
SAILOR GERRI – Had to be checked and lost its running on the first turn.
 
POWERFUL SAGA – Forced wider near the 800m.  Raced 3 wide throughout.
 
DENARIUS – Near the 100m shifted in and brushed the running rail.  Jockey A. Spinks reported at scale that he felt his mount jarred up on the firm surface today.
 
BROOKLYN STORM – Raced 3 wide throughout.
 
T. Harrison (ALASSAK) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding in that she allowed her mount to shift in on the first turn when not fully clear of CONFRONTING, which was tightened and taken in onto SAILOR GERRI, which had to be checked.  T. Harrison’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of twelve (12)  days to commence midnight 6 November 2016 and expire midnight 18 November  2016.
 
Race 7: Queensland X-Ray Open H'Cap – 1110m
 
HARD STRIDE was declared a late scratching at 3.28 p.m. by order of stewards acting on veterinary advice when found to have colic. 
 
ROCKY KING - Lost its near hind plate shortly after jumping. Hampered at the start when tightened for room.
 
WHISKEY ALLROUND – Jumped away awkwardly and shifted out.  Unable to secure clear running for a major part of the home straight and as a result went to the line not fully tested by its rider.
 
FLYING RIDDLE – Hampered at the start when tightened for room.  Passing the 600m had to restrain from heels.
 
LE CAP – Began very awkwardly and shifted out.
 
TOO GOOD TO REFUSE – Severely hampered at the start.
 
ESSAY RAIDER – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
 
App J. Oliver (LE CAP) pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding in that he allowed his mount to shift out approaching the 600m when not fully clear of SONY LEGEND, resulting in that horse having to be steadied away from heels.  Furthermore, App Oliver continued to allow his mount to shift out further after leaving the 600m when not fully clear of SONY LEGEND, resulting in that runner having to be checked.  App Oliver’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of twelve (12) days to commence midnight 12 November 2016 and expire midnight 24 November 2016.
 
Race 8: Miss Mary Bedford Class 6 Plate – 1600m
 
The start was delayed when LORD COCONUTS had to have its near fore plate refitted by the farrier at the barrier.
PRIVLAKA – Trainer R. Heathcote advised the horse would be ridden midfield with cover today if circumstances permit. The horse settled in a rearward position with cover. Making the first turn had to be steadied away from heels.  Rounding the home turn and in the early part of the home straight was held up for clear running.  Near the 300m had to be restrained off heels.   
 
LORD COCONUTS – Held up for clear running approaching and rounding the home turn.  Near the 400m had to be restrained from the heels of BODEGA NEGRA.
 
ANECDOTE – Taken wider on the first turn.
 
RECKLESS ABANDON – Inside the 300m had to be checked when tightened for room.
 
BODEGA NEGRA – Near the 300m when tiring shifted out slightly taking ALL CLEAR out onto RECKLESS ABANDON.
 
DREAM FINNISH - App L. Tarrant accidentally dropped his whip inside the 100m.

ALL CLEAR – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
