It was established that the application was not made by the required time hence the application was declined. DEE NINE ELLE will therefore appear as having this change of gear at its next start. From Sunshine Coast Meeting 9/7/2017 – Race 7 Subsequent to this event trainer R. Heathcote reported that veterinary tests on CUSHION PINK had failed to reveal any abnormalities and the filly would now be sent for a spell. Race 1: #ALLFOR1AND1FORALL Fillies & Mares Class 4 H’Cap – 1200m MAGNUS COR – Laid in in the straight. TREASURE GALLERY – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout. Jockey L. Tarrant reported on return to scale that the horse felt shin sore. A post race veterinary examination revealed the filly to be lame in the near fore leg. Trainer M. Mair was advised a veterinary certificate of fitness will be required prior to the filly racing again. Following the running of this event the track was upgraded to a Good 4 retrospective. Race 2: #STOPBULLYINGTOENDYOUTHSUICIDE Fillies & Mares Plate – 1110m ELITE FORCE – Began awkwardly. Race 3: #GRANTAWISH Colts, Geldings & Entires Maiden Plate – 1110m Trainer T. Gollan was fined $200 for the late declaration of App M. McGillivray as the rider of THE TINMAN. THE TINMAN – Slow into stride. SKY ONE – Hung out on the home turn. RED MAHOGANY – A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding suffered a bleeding attack during the event. Trainer R. Heathcote was advised the gelding will incur the mandatory 3 month ban from racing and must gallop satisfactorily over 1000m in the presence of a steward prior to racing again. OUR RED DOG – A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding had broke down in the off fore leg. Trainer B. Ahrens advised a veterinary certificate of fitness will be required prior to the gelding racing again. Race 4: Shape Consulting QTIS 3YO Colts & Geldings Maiden Plate – 1050m MISHANI FERNANDO – Began awkwardly. GOOD GRAB – Crowded for room and had to be steadied shortly after the start. MR DUMONT – Near the 700m shifted in, struck the running rail and became badly unbalanced. VICTORY TAPESTRY – Overraced in the middle stages and had to be steadied from heels. Race 5: Travers Beynon Racing Benchmark 70 H’Cap – 1050m Trainer S. Kendrick was fined $200 for the late declaration of L. Tarrant as the rider of LIPSYNC. JEST EXCEL – Bounded as the start was effected and lost ground. LOVE A ROSE – Jumped awkwardly. Race 6: Astrojump Inflatables Colts, Geldings & Entires Class 4 H’Cap – 1200m TAMBO’S HEART – Stood awkwardly in the barriers, began very awkwardly and was reluctant to stride out in the early stages. Trainer S. Kendrick was advised that the gelding will be required to trial to the satisfaction of stewards before being permitted to race again. RED MAGIC – Near the 200m the gelding suffered a bleeding attack and shifted in abruptly crashing through the inside running rail. App R. Ride was subsequently transported to hospital for observation. Samples for analysis were taken from the horse. Race 7: ICANIWILL Australia Class 2 H’Cap – 1650m Due to the incident in Race 6 the start time of this race was amended to 4.14 p.m. PRINCE OF TIE – Began awkwardly and struck its gate. The gelding, which led the event, overraced in the early and middle stages and was disappointing in the straight. Trainer K. Schweida advised the gelding would be sent for an immediate spell. VENETIAN BEAUTY – Slow into stride. FUTURE EVENT – Slow into stride. Near the 1400m when racing in restricted room became awkward, brushed the rail and lost ground. INGEEGOODBE – Slow away and hampered slightly when crowded shortly after the start. IRON CRAFT – It was noted after the race that the bit was displaced and had pulled through the gelding’s mouth. Race 8: #MAKINGCHARITYCOOL Class 2 H’Cap – 1350m Due to the incident in Race 6 the start time of this race was amended to 4.47 p.m. HE’S A NATURAL – Trainer D. Vandyke advised the horse would be ridden more forward today due to the good gate if circumstances permit. The horse was ridden accordingly. DOUBLE SUPERLATIVE – Steadied when crowded shortly after the start. TEMPETE ROUGE – Steadied from the heels of SOCIAL CONQUEST near the 1200m. App M. McGillivray (SOCIAL CONQUEST) was issued with a reprimand. PERRAN BEACH – Pulled hard in the early and middle stages. Jockey L. Tarrant reported that he was of the opinion that the mare got its tongue over the bit during the early stages and as a consequence raced fiercely and proved very difficult to restrain. Jockey Tarrant added that because of this issue the mare also hung out badly on the bend. FIVE STUD POKER – Steadied from heels near the 400m. OVERLAP – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
