DARING DEEDS When asked to comment on the performance of the gelding, jockey J. Byrne stated his instructions were to obtain a trailing position in order to give his mount a chance to finish the race off.. He added that after settling in that position and asked to quicken rounding the home turn, the gelding failed to respond to his riding and, in his opinion, failed to handle the heavy track conditions. Race 2:: Johns Lyng Group F&M Class 3 HHcap 1050m INVINCIBLE STORM Began awkwardly and lost ground. PEKING ROAD Bumped on the off-side shoulder near the 200m. Cast its off fore plate in running. VINTAGE BEAUTY When asked as to why she remained racing 3 wide without cover when there appeared opportunity to restrain and race behind COLLARRS UP, apprentice S. Lacy stated that the horsees usual racing pattern is to race in front or up on the speed, and the mare has shown in the past to have a reluctance to being restrained as well as an inclination to choke down. She added that in the heavy going she was not overly concerned to maintain the position she did, however in hindsight concededd it may have been more advantageous to endeavour to restrain to find cover.. After viewing the footage, Miss Lacy agreed that it would have been better in hindsight to have made more effort, and also was advised that her riding lacked initiative and she would be expected to show better judgement in similar circumstances. Race 3:: Bay Building Group CG&E Class 3 HHcap - 1050m RED RIGHT OUT Slow into stride. Bled during the event. Connections were advised that a 3 month bar from racing for a period of 3 months. Patel, rider of the 3rd placegetter, TROMMELSCHLAGEN, against DONNT STUTTERR being declared 2nd, alleging interference near the 100m.. After taking evidence from the parties concerned and viewing the patrol video, whilst stewards conceded there was a bump to TROMMELSCHLAGEN at this stage and as a result DONNT STUTTER shifted out marginally, they were however of the view that any inconvenience caused to TROMEMELSCHLAGEN would not exceeded the long neck margin between both horses at the finish and therefore the protest was dismissed. NATURAL FORCE Slow into stride. Cast its off fore hind plate in running. GREYT INTENTIONS Jockey L. Dittman reported his mount may have got its tongue over the bit and therefore chocked down in the straight. TROMMELSCHLAGEN Raced 3 wide without cover. Cast its near hind plate in running.
