Race 1: GALLOPERS SPORTS CLUB QTIS 2YO H'CAP – 1110M
 
GENTLE PRINCE – As B. Stewart was not riding due to illness, M. Gray was substituted as rider. Slow to begin. Carried wider making the turn into the straight.
 
GO FACTOR – Raced greenly and shifted in abruptly at the 500m, crowding STARFILLY, which checked. Hung outwards making the turn into the straight, thereby inconveniencing GENTLE PRINCE and carrying that colt wider on the track. Trainer M. Wilson was advised that the gelding would be required to trial satisfactorily prior to being permitted to race again.
 
THE SILVER LADY – Jumped awkwardly and shifted out, bumping STARFILLY. Laid inwards in the straight.
 
SEMIFOX – After being slow to begin the rider elected to restrain to a rearward position.
 
STARFILLY – Hampered when tightened for room between runners on jumping. Raced ungenerously and got its head up on a number of occasions in the early and middle stages. Crowded and checked at the 500m.
 
TRIP THE LIGHT – Laid outwards over the final 100m.
 
Race 2: MEMBERSHIPS @ BRC RATINGS BAND 0 – 68 H'CAP – 1110M
 
MICK THE HAT – After being slow to begin the rider elected to take up a rearward position.
 
CATMOSPHERE – After jumping from a wide barrier was obliged to race three wide without cover. Laid inwards in the straight.
 
AMORITA – Overraced whilst being restrained for some distance in the early and middle stages.
 
LOVE YOU LUCY – Raced keenly in the early stages.
 
LIPS ‘N HIPS – Raced three wide with cover. Laid out from the 500m and made the home turn awkwardly. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
 
THE WILD ONE – Overraced in the early stages.
 
ZOOMING – Underwent a veterinary examination behind the barriers at the request of the rider and was cleared to start. Raced three wide with cover. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to be lame in the off foreleg. The veterinary surgeon also reported that the gelding’s nearside eye requires an ophthalmology examination. Trainer J. Baker was advised that he will be required to provide a veterinary clearance and an ophthalmologist’s report prior to the gelding racing again.
 
Race 3: BIG SCREEN ON THE GREEN CLASS 3 PLATE – 1600M
 
INKULU – After beginning slowly, the rider elected to restrain to a rearward position.
 
SOXAGON – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
 
CINNAMON MISSILE – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
Race 4: SOCIETY ROKU GIN NYE PARTY CLASS 6 H'CAP – 1350M
 
The start of this race was delayed when the near fore plate on SHOGUN SUN had to be refitted.
 
SHOGUN SUN – Jumped awkwardly, shifted in and was slow into stride.
 
Race 5: MARTY BAKER TURNS 40 QTIS 3YO H'CAP – 1350M
 
GUNTANTES – Inclined to lay in over the concluding stages.
 
SOUTHERN SWING – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.
 
SIZZLING BABE – Overraced in the early stages.
 
WHITTINGTON WAYS – Overraced whilst being restrained from the 1200m until the 900m. Inconvenienced leaving the 200m.
 
ROTHENBURG – Overraced in the early stages. Laid in under pressure leaving the 200m and inconvenienced WHITTINGTON WAYS.
 
Race 6: SOUTHS SPORTS CLUB NO METRO WINS H'CAP – 1050M
 
SNIPSTREAM – Jumped awkwardly and shifted in.
 
MR STRACHAN – Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. Raced in restricted room approaching the 600m and had to be steadied.
 
PAPER TRADE – Slow to begin. Raced three wide throughout with cover.
 
DAPPER ONE – After beginning from a wide barrier the rider elected to restrain to settle in a rearward position.
 
LIMERICK MOON – Raced three wide throughout with cover. Inconvenienced by POWER RUSH approaching the 100m. J. Byrne, the rider of POWER RUSH, was shown the film and reminded of his obligations when shifting ground.
 
TRUCULENT – Required farrier attention behind the barriers. Overraced whilst being restrained when crossed by SNIPSTREAM near the 800m.
 
RABBIT HUNTER – Raced three wide without cover.
 
DUKE OF FREDERICK – Raced keenly in the early stages.
 
POWER RUSH – Overraced when being steadied from the heels of TAKOTSUBO approaching the 800m. Momentarily held up for clear running on entering the straight. Shifted out approaching the 100m and inconvenienced LIMERICK MOON.
 
R. Wiggins was examined by the Club doctor after the event and stood down from his engagement in Race 10.
 
Race 7: ASCOT GREEN OPEN H'CAP – 2000M
 
HIGH OPINION, which kicked out, getting its near hind leg caught between the barrier gates, was removed, examined by the veterinary surgeon and declared a late scratching at 3:04 pm by order of stewards acting on veterinary advice that the gelding had sustained abrasions to the near hind hock. On the announcement of correct weight stewards ordered that all monies invested on HIGH OPINION be refunded, with the following deductions to apply to successful wagers placed prior to 3:04 pm:
 
25 cents in the dollar for the win #2
21 cents in the dollar for place of winner #2
23 cents in the dollar for 2nd place #1
15 cents in the dollar for 3rd place #3
 
ALWARD – Bumped with ENDLESS DAYS on a couple of occasions near the 500m.
 
FIGHTING TEO – Laid inwards in the straight, placing its rider at a disadvantage.
 
BARGANNON – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
ENDLESS DAYS – Bumped by PLEASED on jumping away. Raced wide in the middle stages. Bumped with ALWARD on a couple of occasions near the 500m.
 
PLEASED – Jumped away awkwardly and made contact with ENDLESS DAYS.
 
BENICO’S PRINCE – Made the crossing near the 1600m awkwardly.
 
Race 8: WWW.BRC.COM.AU BENCHMARK 80 H'CAP – 1600M
 
ROSIE POSIE – Slow into stride.
 
BRAINS – Laid inwards in the straight.
 
REAL EGO – J. Orman reported that it had not been his intention to race forward, however after being caught four wide he elected to go forward.
 
ALPINE DANCER – Slow to begin after jumping away awkwardly and bumping heavily with TROMMELSCHLAGEN. Raced three wide with cover.
 
TROMMELSCHLAGEN – Bumped heavily on jumping.
 
LE MATTAN – Raced three wide without cover throughout.
 
CHARMED PRINCESS – Steadied shortly after the start when crowded for racing room between TREVELYAN and RUBY GURU, which rolled out.
 
Race 9: SUMMER RACING @ BRC RATINGS BAND 0 – 70 H'CAP – 1350M
 
FABULONH – Commenced to overrace approaching the 1000m whilst being restrained for some distance.
 
ALL IMPORTANT – Laid in under pressure in the straight.
 
DREAMTIMER – Raced three wide with cover.
 
SENRIMA TIDE – Jumped awkwardly and made contact with LEGAL COUNSEL. Raced keenly in the early stages.
 
MASLOW – Inclined to lay in in the straight.
 
GOLDEN MEAN – Jumped awkwardly and shifted in. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a slow post-race recovery.
 
PINTANG PRINCE – Slow to begin.
 
LEGAL COUNSEL – Bumped by SENRIMA TIDE on jumping. Raced three wide without cover. J. Bayliss reported that his mount dipped near the 300m and he became concerned with its action, however, shortly after it commenced to stride out and he rode his mount out to the line. Trainer L. Wheeler was advised to notify stewards should anything become apparent in the horse’s post-race recovery.
 
Race 10: TAB KEITH NOUD QUALITY – 1200M
 
OUTBACK BARBIE – Shifted away from the heels of the weakening DIVINE DICE approaching the 300m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the mare had sustained a small laceration to the near hind fetlock.
 
LIFE ON THE WIRE – Jumped away awkwardly and shifted in, hampering CHAPTER AND VERSE. Trainer R. Heathcote advised that following today’s race the horse would be sent to stud.
 
CHAPTER AND VERSE – Tightened between runners on jumping. Steadied after improving on to the heels of LIFE ON THE WIRE approaching the 800m, shifted wider and commenced to overrace. Raced three wide with cover.
 
PRIORTISE – As R. Wiggins had been stood down by the Club doctor, L. Tilley was substituted as rider. Had to be eased away from the heels of I’M A RIPPA when making ground approaching the winning post.
 
SNITCH – Steadied from the heels of CHAPTER AND VERSE over the concluding stages.
 
QUEEN OF KINGSTON – After beginning slowly, the rider elected to shift his mount closer to the rail and take up a rearward position.
 
PUBLISHING POWER – After jumping moderately from a wide barrier, was obliged to race four wide without cover.
 
STELLA VICTORIA – A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the mare had been galloped on on the off hind leg, sustaining a laceration and losing the off hind plate.
 
SWORD OF JUSTICE – Raced three wide without cover. Steadied from the heels of SNITCH approaching the 300m when that runner was taken wider by OUTBACK BARBIE.
 
VEGA ONE – Shifted wider by another runner approaching the 800m. Raced three wide with cover.
