THE ACTUARY – Inclined to lay in in the early stages of the straight.
Race 2: EVA AIR MAIDEN H'CAP – 1350M

ANGEL MIO – Raced three wide without cover. Momentarily steadied rounding the home turn when DEEP SEEDED shifted wider to improve.
Race 3: MITAVITE QTIS 3YO MAIDEN H'CAP – 1350M
KNIGHT MARINER – Stewards questioned apprentice B. Nothdurft regarding the horse’s riding pattern. Apprentice Nothdurft stated that the horse had been gelded whilst spelling and in a recent trial, when wearing blinkers, as it did today, had performed well when ridden back in the field and from today’s wide gate was ridden in a similar manner.
CENTRAL AMERICA – Raced three wide throughout. Apprentice J. Huxtable reported that his mount began better than expected and ideally he would have preferred to find cover, however, he was obliged to race three wide and his mount had a very solid run. Stewards noted that the filly was a noticeable market drifter and it was sent to be swabbed.
WILD AND READY – Held up for clear running approaching the home turn.
ARJAYAR – Overraced noticeably approaching the 900m before its rider elected to ease wider to improve. Momentarily obliged to steady while laying in under pressure near the 250m when KNIGHT MARINER laid in for a stride.
ATOMIC BOMB – As L. Tilley was to be overweight, M. Hellyer was substituted as the rider of the colt. Stewards accepted jockey Tilley’s explanation. M. Hellyer reported that it was not his intention to assume the lead, however, after beginning well and with a lack of speed to his inside he elected to press forward.
SPURIOUS – Held up for clear running approaching the home turn.
Following the running of this event the track was upgraded to GOOD 4.
Race 4: #RACEATYOURPLACE QTIS 3YO H'CAP – 1200M

ROASTED – Shifted out momentarily when racing keenly passing the 800m and was steadied.

ROULETTE ROYAL – Stood flat-footed at the start and lost significant ground.
Race 6: AQWA CONSTRUCTIONS CLASS 1 H'CAP – 1350M
HEAVENLY JOURNEY – Began fairly before mustering speed.
GRAPHITE EXPRESS – Bumped by KOKOPO KITTY on several occasions passing the 1200m.
MUSICMAKER – Tightened between runners near the 300m when HEAVENLY JOURNEY attempted to move wider on the course. Started a short-priced favourite and performed poorly. When asked to comment on the performance, R. Maloney explained that the filly travelled reasonably well until passing the 600m and when placed under pressure shortly afterwards failed to respond and in his opinion proved disappointing. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no abnormalities other than minor abrasions on the off hind leg, and a routine swab sample was taken. Trainer D. Vandyke indicated he was disappointed with the filly’s performance and said that it would be spelled immediately.
AIOLOS – Raced three wide throughout.
DIVINE DECADENCE – J. Bayliss reported post-race that his mount felt awkward in its action and over the final 100m was inclined to lay in and therefore he elected not to fully test the horse to the line. Trainer H. Page was advised to notify stewards should anything come to light in ensuing days which may have affected the horse’s performance.
EXPERT EYE – J. Orman was reminded of his obligations under the whip rule.

Race 7: #FASHIONATYOURPLACE BENCHMARK 68 H'CAP – 1650M
Trainer S. Kendrick was fined $100 for failing to declare apprentice J. Huxtable as the rider of NO DOUBT ACRACKER by the prescribed time.
NO DOUBT ACRACKER – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn and in the early part of the home straight, and near the 250m had to be restrained when attempting a run to the inside of SO YOU WISH where there was insufficient room, and as a result had to alter course to the outside to improve over the last 100m.
STORM HARBOUR – Held up in the early part of the straight and near the 300m attempted to improve between SCOUTABOUT and THE GOLDEN HIND where there was insufficient room and as a result had to be restrained from the heels of THE GOLDEN HIND.

Cahill regarding the performance of TUNERO, which was a noticeable market drifter. Jockey Cahill stated that after being bumped heavily at the start and settling in a rearward position he felt his mount performed reasonably well, considering, in his view, it would perform better over distances further than that of today’s event. TUNERO was sent to be sampled.
VINCO – Jumped awkwardly and shifted in abruptly.
RICHETTI – Had to be eased from the heels of VINCO approaching the 700m and shifted out, resulting in SOARING HEART being momentarily taken wide. RICHETTI raced three wide without cover from that point.
