Race 1: TAB VENUE MODE Two-Year-Old Handicap 1110 metres
 
 
GENERAL WOLFFE – Raced keenly passing the 800m.
 
STELLAR MAGIC – Began awkwardly.
 
MILITARY GAMBLER – Laid in under pressure.
 
FREYA'S FALCON – Raced three wide with cover.
 
IMADGIC – Slow to begin before mustering speed and raced three wide throughout.
 
 
 
Race 2: ICONIC CARE OPEN Handicap 2000 metres
 
ALWARD (IRE) – Began awkwardly.
 
SIR BARNABUS – Resaddled behind the barriers. Pulled hard early and middle stages. Bumped near 300m.
 
DALMATIA PRINCE – Fractious in the barriers. Bumped near 300m.
 
BROCSON – Raced keenly approaching the 2000m.
 
Race 3: ACE. BM85 Handicap 1600 metres
 
 
TAKE TEA – Near the 900m improved onto the heels of GUISE and was steadied.
 
BAREFOOT – Bumped on several occasions between the 400m and 200m when attempting to secure clear running.
 
CAPTIVATOR – Raced keenly in the middle stages. Bumped near the 350m. Loosened the off hind plate in running.
 
GUISE – Slow to begin. Bumped on several occasions between the 400m and 200m. A post -race veterinary examination revealed an abrasion to the near hind pastern.
 
SEAT OF POWER (IRE) – Bumped near the 350m.
 
 
 
 
Race 4: ETHOS ORTHODONTICS Three-Year-Old Handicap 1350 metres
 
 
ROLLINWITHTHEFLOW – Required farrier attention to refit its off fore plate on arrival at the barriers. This delay resulted in this race commencing four minutes late.
 
BUNDYANDCOKE – Raced keenly early. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Trainer A Robinson advised that he freshen up the gelding.
 
TARA JASMINE –Slow to begin then hampered between runners and lost ground. Raced three wide throughout. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
BETTER GET SET – Raced keenly early.
 
CRIMINAL DEFENCE – Slow to begin. Improved into a three wide trail leaving the 800m.
 
HOT ESCORT – Pulled hard early.
 
NICCI'S SPIRIT – Pulled hard early. Raced three wide with cover.
 
 
Race 5: PITCHER PARTNERS OPEN Handicap 1350 metres
 
VANNA GIRL – Slow to begin then steadied from the heels of AGASSI which shifted out.
 
CLOAK – Slow to begin.
 
CONSTANT FLIGHT – Shifted out under hard riding passing the 200m.
 
AGASSI – Bumped on the hind quarters leaving the 900m and became unbalanced. Raced three wide throughout.
 
ELIXIR – Steadied passing the 200m when awkwardly placed at the heels CONSTANT FLIGHT which shifted out. Jockey Ben Thompson was advised to exercise greater care when shifting ground in future.
 
YU LONG SHENG HUI -Pulled very hard early and leaving the 900m shifted out and bumped AGASSI.
 
Race 6: CHEMIST WAREHOUSE CLICK AND COLLECT Colts, Geldings and Entires Class 1110 metres
 
ALL STARS – Over the concluding stages was momentarily steadied when CONTEMPTOUS rolled out.
 
DR WHY NOT – Carried inward near the 900m when placed in restricted room.
 
HARRYANDTHETIGER – Slow to begin.
 
RISING STAR –Began awkwardly and shifted in. A post-race veterinary examination determined that the gelding had sustained small lacerations to its near fore and near hind. Near the 900m was obliged to check and lost its position when DR WHY NOT was carried inward by THE MOVE which shifted in. Jockey J Byrnes was found guilty pursuant to AR131(a) in regard to careless riding and his license to ride in races was suspended for a period of 6 days to commence midnight 5/4/2021 and expire midnight 11/4/2021. Stewards when assessing penalty considered the low degree of carelessness, circumstances of the interference and Mr Byrnes exemplary record in that he has had in excess of 550 rides since his last suspension.
 
SPIRIT OF AQUADA – Slow to begin.
 
CONTEMPTUOUS – Hampered and lost ground shortly after the start when RISING STAR shifted in. Shifted out over the concluding stages.
 
 
 
 
 
Race 7: CAPESTONE VILLAGE BY VECCHIO PROPERTY GROUP Fillies and Mares Class 3 1110 metres
 
The track was upgraded to a Soft 5 prior to this event.
 
 
SNITZARI- Jockey A Mallyon reported that the filly travelled only fairly, proved disappointing and failed to respond to his riding. A post-race veterinary examination determined that the filly was striding short in the off fore. Stable representative Mel Eggleston advised that the filly will now be spelled.
 
 
BAY OF DRAGONS – Slow to begin.
 
LAST CHANCE DANCE – Over raced middle stages.
 
SPIRIT HOUSE – Slow to begin. Laid in in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination could find no apparent abnormalities.
 
ZOUKINA – Slow to begin and hamper shortly thereafter.
 
 
Race 8: GOTRANSIT Three-Year-Old Handicap 1050 metres
 
Due to two runners undergoing pre-race veterinary examinations this race started approximately 3 minutes late.
 
MISHANI REBEL – Raced three wide throughout.
 
POUPEE – Trainer Stuart Kendrick was fined $200 for failing to notify a rider within the prescribed time. Raced three wide throughout. Jockey L Tarrant reported that his saddle shifted during the event.
 
SNAPPY REPLY – Broke through the barriers prior to the start before travelling a short distance. Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and cleared to start. Bumped at the start.
 
LA READY ROSA – Raced greenly approaching 800m and lost its position.
 
MASTER RED – Fractious in the barriers, underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and cleared to start. Began awkwardly and bumped with SNAPPY REPLY.
 
SERIOUS MOVES – Apprentice M Wishart reported that her saddle shifted near the 700m, placing her at a disadvantage.
 
Race 9: AUSTRALIAN NATURAL THERAPEUTICS GROUP Class 6 Handicap 1200 metres
 
ROYAL HALE – Raced three wide with cover.
 
HOLD THE LINE – Apprentice J Huxtable was fined $200 pursuant to AR190(3) when unable to fulfil his engagement due to being overweight and was replaced with Apprentice Leah Kilner.
 
LET'S PARTY MARTY – Began awkwardly. Held up for clear running in the home straight and unable to be fully tested.
 
GUNTANTES – Slow to begin.
 
 
KATY'S DAUGHTER – Raced three wide.
 
SO TAKEN – Slow to begin.
 
PARTNERS – Tightened and steadied from the heels of REXX near the 1100m. Apprentice M Wishart was advised to exercise greater care when shifting ground in future.
 
ZOU DER ZEE – Raced three wide with cover.
 
METSON - Slow to begin.
