Loy +1kg Race 1: SEASONS GREETINGS FROM BRC BENCHMARK 78 Handicap 1050 metres RUBIQUITOUS – Began awkwardly and bumped with DEEP ROMANCE. Raced wide throughout. Overraced throughout the event. A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be suffering from the thumps. GREY DEFENCE – Held up for clear running on entering the home straight. Inclined to lay in under pressure in the home straight. LIZA WITH A ZEE – Raced wide with cover. MISHANI FRAUDSTER – Raced wide throughout. DEEP ROMANCE – Began awkwardly and bumped with RUBIQUITOUS and GREY DEFENCE. Held up for clear running on entering the home straight. LIME SODA – Slow to begin. Overraced in the early stages. INASEC – Hampered soon after the start when WAY TO THE STARS shifted out. Race 2: ZOUSAIN FIRST YEARLINGS SELLING 2023 2YO Handicap 1200 metres MISHANI RENEGADE – Laid in under pressure in the home straight. RISKY INVESTMENT – Began awkwardly. Race 3: LADBROKES MATES MODE BENCHMARK 72 Handicap 1615 metres ANTINO – Slow to begin, and hampered by TERANGA. As a result of this, ANTINO settled further back than anticipated. Jockey J. Orman commented that his pre race plan was to race on the speed but after being hampered at the start he elected to ride towards the rear of the field with cover. RHYME TIME – Jockey M. Harley reported on returning to scale that the gelding felt awkward in its action over the concluding stages. A post race veterinary examination of the gelding revealed the gelding to be lame in its near hindleg. Trainer Mr L. Hatch was advised that a veterinary clearance will be required prior to racing again. ABRACADAZZLE – Slow to begin. Rounding home turn tightened for room between AWE and the tiring ROLLER COASTER. GHOSTWRITER – Raced wide early stages, before going forward to race outside the leader near the 900m. ROLLER COASTER – Eased down in the home straight. A veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be suffering from atrial fibrillation. Trainers’ representative, Mr B. Killion was advised that the gelding will require a veterinary clearance, including the results of an ECG, and will be required to barrier trial satisfactorily, prior to racing again. TERANGA – Jumped awkwardly, shifting out bumping ANTINO, which was slow to begin and further hampered. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. JOLLY RUPERT – Had to be eased near the 300m when DECEMBER DIAMOND shifted out to improve. Race 4: CHANNEL 7 BENCHMARK 78 Handicap 1350 metres FLEETWOOD MACA – Overraced during the early stages, and then raced three wide over the final 800m.SOUTHERN ROCK – Underwent a pre race veterinary examination as had not raced in excess of twelve months and cleared to start. Slow to begin. DASH FOR DREAMS – Held up for clear running approaching and rounding the home turn, and in the early part of the home straight. Over the final stages, was disappointed for a run between AYAHUASCA and FIELD REGIMENT, with FIELD REGIMENT shifting out slightly under pressure. RENOUF – Passing the 800m, commenced to over race and had to be restrained. STORMY ROCK – Slow to begin. FIELD REGIMENT – Reported that his mount raced keenly in the middle stages. AYAHUASCA – Jockey J. Kah when asked to comment on the performance of the mare commented that in her opinion, she felt that the mare may have resented racing inside other horses. A post race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. Race 5: MAGIC MILLIONS SHOOT OUT 2020 metres ARAMAYO – Raced wide throughout. A post race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities. BIGBOYROY – Held up for clear running rounding the home turn and in the home straight until the 150m. IRISH PLAYBOY – Held up for clear running in the early part of the home straight.STREET DANCER – Overraced in the middle stages. A DEEL OF HUMOUR – Raced three wide in the early stages before being ridden forward to a position outside the leader near the 1250m. Race 6: MAGIC MILLIONS VO ROGUE PLATE 1350 metres COUNT DA BEANS – Overraced in the early stages. Passing the 300m when attempting to maintain his racing line bumped heavily with STROLL. Near the 250m, PONCA shifted out under pressure causing COUNT DA BEANS to alter course. STROLL – Rounding the home turn, shifted out and bumped heavily with COUNT DA BEANS. Jockey B. Thornton was cautioned and advised to make sure he has sufficient room to improve in similar circumstances. PONCA – Shifted out under pressure near the 250m. HONKYTONK DIVA – Slow to begin. Race 7: MAGIC MILLIONS THE BUFFERING 1350 metres EMERALD KINGDOM – Jockey B. Loy was reprimanded pursuant to AR132(5) for excessive whip use in that he used his whip 15 times in totality. SEA RAIDER – Raced wide throughout. HAUNTED – Had to be eased near the 800m when KING OF HASTINGS shifted in when not fully clear. RUBAMOS – Near the 900m, when overracing, improved onto the heels of ZOUKINA and had to be steadied. ZOUKINA – Slow to begin. Race 8: MAGIC MILLIONS NUDGEE STAKES 1200 metres KIKU – Raced three wide with cover for the majority. JUAN DIVA – Near the 900m, when overracing, had to be eased to avoid the heels of BAROSSA ROSA. Raced wide throughout without cover. SNEAKY FIVE – Raced three wide with cover for the majority. NAJMATY – Slow to begin. Raced keenly in the middle stages. SALATEEN – Jockey B. Loy was reprimanded pursuant to AR132(5) for excessive whip use in that he used his whip 15 times in totality. MISS HIPSTAR – Overraced in the early stages. EURO BELLE – Over the final stages was hampered when CENTREFIRE shifted out. GLORIOUS RUBY – Raced wide throughout. ENTERPRISE POMME – Overraced during the early stages. SINGLE DIZIRE – Raced wide throughout. When overracing near the 700m, shifted wider, racing three wide without cover from this point. As a result, JUAN DIVA was carried wider. LA SOEUR – Jockey N. Beriman lost her whip near the 150m. Race 9: MAGIC MILLIONS Class 6 Handicap 1200 metres STORMY ROCK – Trainer M. Dunn was fined $300 under LR36(6)(a) for the late scratching of STORMY ROCK in race 9 who was a dual acceptor for race 4 and 9 today. HILO – Bumped with SHAMATON on jumping. DIRECT – Raced three wide without cover. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. RAINBOW CONNECTION – Declared a late scratching at 11.07am when injured in transport enroute. Trainer M. Dunn was advised that the gelding will required a veterinary clearance prior to racing again. SHAMATON – Bumped with HILO on jumping. Overraced in the early stages, shifted out near the 900m and bumped with DIRECT. Soon after straightening, shifted out and made contact with DIRECT, then that runner laid in when placed under pressure. LJUNGBERG – Raced three wide with cover.
