ROAR HIDE – Jumped awkwardly.

Race 3: MULLINS LAWYERS Colts, Geldings and Entires Maiden Plate 1200 metres

This event was delayed approximately 5 mins after THANKFUL HEART broke through the barrier partition and galloped a significant distance riderless prior to being recaptured.
Correct weight was delayed whilst Stewards put into consideration an objection lodged by J. Orman, rider of I AM MASON, against jockey N. Evans (RUSSIAN SUB), alleging interference from the 400m until the winning post. After taking submissions, it was ascertained that on straightening, RUSSIAN SUB commenced to lay out, carrying I AM MASON approximately 12 horses off the running rail. When considering the beaten margin of half a length, and that I AM MASON having to be corrected on three separate occasions, Stewards upheld the protest and declared correct weight on the numbers 2, 11, 5 and 7.

ALLORA ENZO (NZ) – Underwent a pre race veterinary examination after not racing for an extended period of time and cleared to start. Shifted in on jumping away.

Trainer Mr S. Kendrick was advised that LOST IN TRANSIT will require a further barrier certificate and a veterinary clearance prior to racing again. Prior to the declaration of correct weight, Stewards ordered that all bets placed on LOST IN TRANSIT are to be refunded with the following deductions to apply:
