Race 1: LADBROKES COX PLATE RACEDAY FILLIES & MARES CLASS 6 HANDICAP (4YO ONLY QTIS BONUSES APPLICABLE) 1350M
 
BITCOIN BABY – Held up rounding the home turn. Approaching the 300m, shifted out to improve and bumped MOTOMISS. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a minor laceration to the mare’s off fore leg and was subsequently treated by the on-course veterinarian.
 
MOTOMISS – Extremely slow to begin. Leaving the 700m shifted three wide to improve when the pace of the race was only steady. Approaching the 300m was bumped by BITCOIN BABY which shifted out to improve.
 
ARGYLE PINK – Laid in under pressure approaching the 100m point.
 
TYRESA – Slow to begin.
 
ORIGINAL GLAZE – Held up rounding the home turn.
 
 
Race 2: LADBROKES ANAMOE 2022 BENCHMARK 78 HANDICAP 2000M
 
TAPILDOODLEDO (NZ) – Slow to begin.
 
NAMAKWA – Race wide in the early stages. Leaving the 1000m shifted three wide to improve. Approaching the 800m shifted in and bumped SECURITY ADVISOR. Rider B. Spriggs advised that in his opinion that the gelding raced flat and may have come to the end of its preparation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Trainer R. Heathcote advised that the gelding would now be spelled.
 
BLACKCOMB – Jockey A. Mallyon advised Stewards that the mare was one paced in its finishing effort and in his opinion was disappointing.
 
GO MILLO – Race wide in the early stages.
 
FLYING JOY – Began awkwardly.
 
SATAY CHICKEN (NZ) – Apprentice C. Graham advised Stewards that the gelding had a tendency to hang out during the event and she was also of the opinion that SATAY CHICKEN was disappointing in its finishing effort. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
SECURITY ADVISOR – Approaching the 800m was bumped by NAMAKWA. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
 
Race 3: LADBROKES STATE OF REST 2021 QTIS 2YO HANDICAP 1110M
 
MISHANI ROCK – Connections advised a change of tactics in that from the wide barrier the gelding will be attempted to be ridden further back in the field. Slow to begin. A post-race veterinary examination revealed it to be lame in both fore legs. Trainer L. Ross was advised the gelding will require a veterinary certificate prior to next start.
 
HEAD HONCHO – Bumped after the start. Approaching the home turn shifted out and bumped heavily with ROCKRATA. Shifted out approaching the winning post and raced greenly under pressure in the home straight.
 
UNEGA WAHY'A – Bumped after the start. Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
ROCKRATA – Bumped heavily in the home turn and became unbalanced.
 
MISHANI ECLIPSE – Raced greenly under pressure in the home straight.
 
MISHANI FIRE – Shifted in after the start and bumped UNEGA WAHY'A. Shifted in under pressure approaching the 200m.
 
MISHANI INVINCIBLE – Began awkwardly and shifted out and bumped HEAD HONCHO. When approaching the 800m shifted out despite the efforts of its rider and raced greenly throughout. Trainer L. Ross was advised that a waring will be placed on the filly for its racing manners.
 
SERIAL OFFENDER – Began awkwardly. Inconvenienced and carried wider at the 800m.
 
 
Race 4: LADBROKES SIR DRAGONET 2020 CLASS 3 PLATE 1600M
 
BLAKMAX – Raced wide until approaching the 1000m.
 
MICRO – Began awkwardly. Lost near fore plate in running.
 
RISING PACIFIC (NZ) – Raced wide for the majority of the event.
 
TALK TIME – Raced in restricted room approaching the 1400m point. Continued to race keenly at heels until the 1100m.
 
ACROPHOBIC – Leaving the 1400m had to be steadied when awkwardly placed at the heels of LARAINA which shifted in when not fully clear to do so. Apprentice Castle was severely reprimanded pursuant to AR131(a).
 
PICKO ROCKS – Slow to begin.
 
POETIC DRAMA (NZ) – Blundered at the start. Raced in restricted room approaching the 1400m point.
 
HALLSIDE MARTINI – Slow to begin.
 
 
Race 5: LADBROKES LYS GRACIEUX 2019 BENCHMARK 68 HANDICAP 1110M
 
DEVASTATING – Held up rounding the home turn until leaving the 250m. Laid in under pressure approaching the winning post.
 
MOUETTE – Raced in restricted room approach the 250m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be lame in the near fore and will require a veterinary certificate prior to resuming racing.
 
THANKFUL HEART – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout.
 
 
Race 6: LADBROKES WINX 2018 CLASS 3 PLATE 1200M
 
LARRIKIN ROGUE – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
MINTAKA LAD – Race wide in the early stages. Jockey J. Huxtable advised the gelding failed to travel comfortably from the 600m and he was disappointed in its finishing effort. Trainer D. Vandyke advised Stewards he was also disappointed in the performance of the gelding and that he would now give considering to applying blinkers prior to next start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
PENTITO – Over raced in the early stages.
 
AMORE VELOCE – Held up rounding the home turn. Raced in restricted room leaving the 200m point.
 
ARTS OBJECT – Bumped shortly after the start and lost ground. Improved onto heels approaching the 200m and then held up until leaving the 100m point.
 
LUBRICATION – Began awkwardly.       Rider J. Orman advised at scale that he was disappointed in the gelding’s performance as it failed to quicken when asked for an effort in the home straight, he further added that the gelding is first up today and would take benefit from the run. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
 
Race 7: LADBROKE IT! QTIS 3YO OPEN 1200M
 
TRIFLING – Leaving the 1100m had to be steadied from the heels of GOLDEN DECADE when that runner shifted out after being checked. Raced three wide from the 900m.
 
ROWEINER'S DANCE – Began awkwardly. Stewards inquired into an incident which occurred near the 1100m and jockey A. Mallyon subsequently pleaded guilty to a charge under AR131(a) in that he rode in a careless manner permitting ROWEINER'S DANCE to shift in when insufficiently clear of TRY EVERYTHING, as a consequence that runner became awkward and shifted inwards taking the rightful running of GOLDEN DECADE causing that horse to be checked and shift in onto the rightful running of WITHIN REASON causing that horse to be checked. Jockey A. Mallyon rider of ROWEINER'S DANCE was suspended for 17 days pursuant to AR131(a) for careless riding to commence from midnight Saturday 28 October 2023 to midnight Tuesday 14 November 2023.
 
GOLDEN DECADE – At the 1100m checked and shifted inwards from the heels of TRY EVERYTHING when that runner was obliged to shift in away from ROWEINER'S DANCE. Raced three wide from the 900m.
 
WITHIN REASON – Checked and lost ground at the 1100m when GOLDEN DECADE was carried inwards when awkwardly placed at the heels of TRY EVERYTHING which shifted in to avoid the heels of ROWEINER'S DANCE which shifted in when not fully clear to do so.
 
ADDRIEL – Began awkwardly and bumped shortly after by WITHIN REASON. Raced in restricted room at the 1100m and was contacted by WITHIN REASON which was taken in from outside runners.
 
CRYPTOSHARE – Began very awkwardly and lost ground. Commenced to over race approaching the 1100m.  A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.  
 
LADY SHOTGUN – At the 1100m had to be checked from the heels of BYRNE when that runner received interference.
 
TRY EVERYTHING – Near the 1100m obliged to shift inwards to avoid the heels of ROWEINER'S DANCE which shifted in and became unbalanced as a result.
 
 
Race 8: LADBROKES RACING CLUB COLTS, GELDINGS & ENTIRES CLASS 6 HANDICAP (4YO ONLY QTIS BONUSES APPLICABLE) 1350M
 
RELEASE THE BEANS – Jockey M. Harley reported the horse felt awkward in its action in the home straight and for this reason he desisted from riding the horse out. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Trainer R. Heathcote advised he would have the stable veterinarian examine the horse in the subsequent days and report back to Stewards.
 
PREACH – A post-race veterinary examination revealed the horse to have nasal discharge from both nostrils. Stewards will follow up with trainer T. Edmonds in the coming days.  
 
ZUMA CALIFORNIA – Approaching the 800m commenced to race keenly at heels.
 
OUR MAGNUS – Raced wide until the 700m. Laid in approaching the winning post and had to be steadied from the heels of PREACH.
 
COLLAY'S SPIRIT (NZ) – Slow to begin.
 
MEDIA MAN – Slow to begin. Lost off fore plate in running.
 
 
 
Race 9: LADBROKES COMMUNITIES BENCHMARK 80 HANDICAP 1600M
 
The start of this event was delayed due to hares being on the course proper and having to be removed.
 
ROUSSEAU – Slow to begin.
 
DUKE OF BUCKINGHAM – Began awkwardly and shifted out and made heavy contact with SECRET TALES. Held up for clear running from approaching the 500m until approaching the 300m.
 
MAGIC CONQUEROR – Race wide without cover throughout.
 
BECKFORD – Shifted out near the 800m to improve and raced wide from that point onwards.
 
SECRET TALES – Began awkwardly, shifted in and made heavy contact with DUKE OF BUCKINGHAM. Raced wide throughout.
 
 
Race 10: LADBROKES ODDS SURGE BENCHMARK 78 HANDICAP 1200M
 
GOGOL – Raced wide throughout.
 
AZZAREACH – Hung out rounding the home turn.
 
BEAUX RUMBLE – Raced wide without cover. Bumped and forced wider near the 350m when OUTLAWED shifted out to improve. M. Harley the rider of OUTLAWED was advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances.
 
MILLANE – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout. Stable representative C. Cavanough commented that in his opinion the horse may have resented racing in tight proximity to the other runners during the middle stages. Jockey J. Orman reported that he was disappointed with the horse’s overall performance however could offer no explanation. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
THATFEELSBETTER – Slow to begin. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have bled from both nostrils. Connections were advised that the horse will not be permitted to start for a period of three-months and must gallop 1000m in the presence of Stewards.  
 
THE DROVER – Raced wide throughout.
 
HAKKAI MARU – Inconvenienced and forced wider after passing the 400m.
 
OUTLAWED – Held up rounding the home turn and shifted out after passing the 400m bumping with BEAU RUMBLE and forcing that horse wider.
 
MAYA BAY Whilst held up rounding the home turn improved onto heels and had to be steadied near the 400m.
