Race 1: STRADBROKE SEASON ON SALE NOW QTIS TWO-YEAR-OLD MAIDEN HANDICAP 1110 M
 
I'M HEROIC – Shifted out on jumping. Laid out under pressure in the home straight.
 
KENDYACATCHME – Slow to begin. Had some difficulty obtaining clear running rounding the home turn and raced greenly in the home straight. Dropped his whip near the 50m. Obliged to steady over the final 50m after HEAD CASE laid out under pressure. Jockey M. McGuren was advised to stop and correct his mount in similar circumstances.
 
ZELEZNY – Had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the home straight.
 
ZOUNA – Bumped on jumping.
 
JEMOMA ALPILAGE – Laid out under pressure in the home straight.
 
BLUE EYE DAME – Held up approaching the home turn until leaving the 200m.
 
SANDY GRIP – Tired in the run to the finish. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to have a slow post-race recovery and to be stepping short behind.
 
CHERRY LIPS– Laid in when placed under pressure over the home straight, obliging its rider to stop and straighten his mount on several occasions.
 
DON'TLEAVEMENOW – Over raced in the early stages of the event.
 
Race 2: MOUNT FRANKLIN MAIDEN HANDICAP 1350 M
 
GLENRAY'S MATE – Slow to begin. Raced keenly in the middle stages when the pace steadied.
 
VAUTIN – Began awkwardly and as consequence was slow to begin.
 
PINKUS – Raced greenly when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
I SAW THE LIGHT – Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
SKYWRITER – Change of tactics - attempt to be ridden off the speed. Ridden accordingly. Bumped near the 60m. When asked to comment on the mare’s performance, Jockey J. Orman stated he was satisfied where he positioned in running but when placed under pressure in the early part of the home straight, failed to respond as expected and proved disappointing. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
COOL PROPHET – Restrained from a wide barrier.
 
MISS RIBCHESTER – Restrained from a wide barrier. Raced keenly in the middle stages when the pace steadied.
 
RIDE FOR LUCK – Laid in under pressure in the straight. Bumped with SKYWRITER near the 60m.  
 
FORBIDDEN APPLE – Restrained from a wide barrier. Had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the home straight.
 
IKNOWICANFLY – Raced wide.
 
CYBERWARS – Lost near hind plate in running.
 
Race 3: SKY RACING CLASS 3 HANDICAP 1650 M
 
MASCARET (GB) – Change of tactics - ridden back in the field from a wide barrier. Ridden accordingly. Raced keenly in the early stages. Near the 700m, improved onto the heels of VEANDECHANCE when the pace slackened. Had some difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of the home straight before improving into a narrow run between SHOWMAN (NZ) and NEVER ISLAND near the 100m.
 
ELLA TE AMA – Apprentice B. Wheeler reported that from a wide barrier and after being caught wide, he elected to restrain for cover. Left a rearward trailing position leaving the 900m and allowed his mount to improve three wide. Laid in when placed under pressure near the 300m. Lost off hind plate in running.
 
VEANDECHANCE – Bumped with NORTHERN DECREE (NZ) on jumping. Jockey J. Orman reported in his opinion the mare may appreciate distances shorter than that of todays event.
 
DIESEL – Inclined to lay in throughout the event. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
NORTHERN DECREE (NZ) – Bumped with VEANDECHANCE on jumping.
 
SHOWMAN (NZ) – Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Bumped with SMOOTH TORQUE near the 80m. Jockey J. Bayliss was reminded of his obligations when his horse is shifting ground, to stop riding and correct his mount.
 
SMOOTH TORQUE – Restrained from a wide barrier to obtain a position closer to the rail. Raced keenly during the early and middle stages. Disappointed for a run in the early stages of the home straight. Bumped with SHOWMAN (NZ) near the 80m. Jockey K. Wilson-Taylor was reminded of his obligations when his horse is shifting ground, to stop riding and correct his mount.
 
VANCITY – Began awkwardly and as a result was slow into stride.
 
Race 4: OPERA QLD REGIONAL TOUR AT EF QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD COLTS AND GELDINGS MAIDEN PLATE 1200 M
 
ABOUT TO EXPLODE – Bumped on jumping. Restrained from a wide barrier to a position closer to the rail. Had to be steadied when awkwardly placed on the heels of HE GOES BOOM leaving the 600m. Had difficulty obtaining clear running on rounding the home turn until entering the home straight.
 
ADRANOS – Over raced in the early stages.
 
BOOM IN THE DARK – Shifted out on jumping and bumped ABOUT TO EXPLODE. Raced wide throughout.
 
HE GOES BOOM – Improved onto the heels of PHAROAH’S PROHECY passing the 750m and had to be steadied when the pace of the race slackened.
 
METALART – Shortly after the start, was bumped and became unbalanced when TIPPED OFF momentarily laid in.
 
PHAROAH'S PROPHECY – Began awkwardly. Over raced in the early stages. Improved onto heels passing the 800m and had to be steadied when the pace of the race slackened. Raced greenly when placed under pressure over the final 150m.
 
ZIN ZAN READY – Restrained from a wide barrier to a position closer to the rail.
 
MOONLIGHT KICKS – Raced wide throughout.
 
PRICE COST – Restrained from a wide barrier to a position closer to the rail.
 
Race 5: MM QTIS SALE MONDAY QTIS THREE-YEAR-OLD FILLIES MAIDEN PLATE 1200 M
 
AITUTAKI – Raced wide throughout.
 
ARAMINTA – Restrained from a wide barrier to a position closer to the rail. Held up rounding the home turn up until passing the 100m. Approaching the finishing line, improved onto the heels of CAXTON LASS and had to be steadied.  
 
CAXTON LASS – Over raced in the early stages.
 
ELAEA – Shifted out on jumping and bumped SUITE SECRET.
 
GOSPEL GIRL – Shifted in and bumped SUITE SECRET. Laid in when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
JAMAICAN MECRAZY – Began awkwardly. Raced ungenerously in the early stages. Raced wide throughout.
 
SHE'S GOT LYRICS – Over raced in the middle stages. Laid out when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
SUITE SECRET – Hampered on jumping and lost ground. Over raced in the middle stages.
 
TYPHOON TIP – Restrained from a wide barrier to a position closer to the rail.
 
ROSEFINCH – Bumped on jumping. Jockey M. Rodd could offer no explanation for todays performance. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the mare to be displaying clinical signs of the thumps.
 
Race 6: XXXX GOLD CLASS 5 HANDICAP 1200 M
 
BUBBA'S BAY – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
BOWRIDER – Raced wide throughout.
 
GODFATHER – Began awkwardly. Over raced in the early stages.
 
IRING – Slow to begin. When laying in approaching the 100m, steadied from the heels of IT’S GERRY and was unable to be tested for the remainder of the event.
 
SCOTTISH PRINCE – Began awkwardly and as a result lost ground.
 
IT’S GERRY – Near the 200m, momentarily raced in restricted room to the inside of BUBBA’S BAY which laid in, before being corrected by its rider.
 
CHILLIWACK – Near the 900m, improved onto heels and had to be steadied.
 
Race 7: BECOME A BRC MEMBER BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1110 M
 
SINGLE TOUCH – Raced wide throughout.
 
CARDONE – Shifted out on jumping.
 
GREAT ASPIRATIONS (NZ) – Momentarily steadied from the heels of SEDUCTIVE SPUR approaching the 900m. Lost off hind plate.
 
AIRSTRIKE – Fractious in the barriers. Leaving the 300m, obliged to shift back to the inside to secure clear running.  
 
INSTAGOOD – Began awkwardly and as a result lost ground. Laid out under pressure in the early part of the home straight.
 
BEAUTY BOUND – Slow to begin.
 
Race 8: SOUTHS SPORTS CLUB BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1110 M
 
MIKADO – Near the 200m, bumped with MOUNT FUJI. Inclined to lay in when placed under pressure in the home straight.
 
MOUNT FUJI – Near the 200m, bumped with MIKADO.
 
HURTS SO GOOD – Caught wide early. Held up rounding the home turn until the 300m. Near the 250m, obliged to steady from the heels of EUPHRATES DREAM which shifted out. E. Chaves, rider of EUPHRATES DREAM was reprimanded for careless riding pursuant to AR 131(a) for this incident. Laid in under pressure in the home straight. Lost near hind plate.
 
EUPHRATES DREAM – Near the 700m, steadied from the heels of HELIKEDEMPRETTY which shifted in.
 
LA PETITE MAISON – Shifted out on jumping.
 
ON HOLD – Bumped on jumping with HELIKEDEMPRETTY. Laid out under pressure in the home straight.
 
HELIKEDEMPRETTY – Bumped on jumping with ON HOLD.
 
TWOSEY – Hampered shortly after the start. Raced wide throughout. Laid in near the 600m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.
 
Race 9: LADBROKES SAME RACE MULTI BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP 1350 M
 
LIVING FREE – Began awkwardly and shifted in, bumping with ROCONONO.
 
LUDOVISI – Very slow to begin and lost ground. Near the 250m, momentarily raced in restricted room to the inside of HIGH PLATEAU. Raced in restricted room approaching the finishing line.
 
VANTAN EXPRESS – Shifted out on jumping and heavily bumped with HIGH PLATEAU. Checked near the 300m. Jockey R. Dolan rider of IN BARCELONA pled guilty to a charge of careless riding pursuant to AR 131(a) in that near the 300m, when under riding, he shifted his mount back to the inside of MA’S EPIC, and in doing so caused VANTAN EXPRESS to be taken inwards and placed in restricted room, obliging its rider to check from the heels of HIGH PLATEAU and lose it’s rightful running. The license of Jockey R. Dolan to ride in races was suspended for a period of 11 days commencing midnight 9/03/2024 up to and including midnight 20/03/2024.
 
HIGH PLATEAU – Heavily bumped on jumping and as a result lost ground. Raced wide until approaching the 800m.
 
MISTER JONNO – Raced in restricted room approaching the home turn when IN BARCELONA shifted out slightly.
 
DANCETHENIGHTAWAY – Bumped on jumping. Hampered near the 300m. Improved onto heels approaching the finishing line and was steadied.
 
ROCONONO – Bumped after the start.
 
MA'S EPIC – Laid out marginally rounding the home turn before being corrected by its rider.
 
ZAKIYYA – Began awkwardly and shifted out, bumping with ROCONONO.
 
BID FOR FAME (NZ) – Bumped on jumping.
 
IN BARCELONA – Raced keenly near the 600m.
