GENERAL Due to the postponement of Kembla Grange and Wagga thoroughbreds, the following time changes were made for races 6 and 8 as follows: Race 6 – 3:18pm (Qld time)Race 8 – 4:33pm (Qld time) Stewards permitted the following overweight for today’s meeting:Race 6 – B. Thornton +0.5kg. Race 1: SEVEN BENCHMARK 85 HANDICAP 1350 M WINSTON SMURFHILL (NZ) – Inconvenienced over the concluding stages when carried in by EN POINTE. Jockey M. Du Plessis, rider of EN POINTE was reminded of his obligations under AR 131(a) when shifting ground in the future. OVIDIUS – Shifted out under pressure in the straight. Lost its near fore and near hind plates in running. EN POINTE – Shifted in under pressure over the concluding stages. QUEEN AIR – Raced in restricted room approaching the 1000m. Race 2: DRINKWISE OPEN HANDICAP 2030 M STUCK WITH YOU (NZ) – Improved from a rear position with cover near the 1100m, worked forward to obtain a position outside the leader. ROGUE BEAR (IRE) – Passing the winning post on the first occasion, shifted in and became awkward on the heels of LINTHORPE LAD and had to be corrected by its rider. Lost a off fore plate in running. Rider A. Mallyon reported that the gelding did not handle the heavy track conditions. WARRAH FLASH – Slow to begin. Over raced in the early and middle stages of the event. Jockey M. Du Plessis reported that in his opinion the gelding did not handle the heavy track conditions and felt WARRAH FLASH didn’t run out the 2000m. Post race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities. EXOTIQUE MISS – Over raced in the early and middle stages of the event. CHAYSE 'N' ARTIE – Lost its off fore plate on route to the barrier resulting in the gelding to require farrier attention. Jockey N. Beriman reported that in her opinion the gelding did not handle the heavy track conditions. HABEEBAH (FR) – Jumped away awkwardly. Race 3: XXXX COUNTRY STAMPEDE (FINAL) NO METRO WINS LAST 2 YEARS 1110 M HAN DYNASTY – Raced wide throughout the event. COAT OF ARMS – Jumped away awkwardly and shifted out onto SMILING ZAC (NZ). Raced wide throughout the event. LILY ALLEZ (NZ) – Shifted out under pressure in the straight. Lost its near hind plate in running. LOUD NOISE - Raced wide throughout the event. WITHOUT SHAME – Began awkwardly and lost ground. SMILING ZAC (NZ) – Inconvenienced on jumping away when COAT OF ARMS shifted out. ENABLER – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout the event. Race 4: AQUIS STALLIONS PHELAN READY 2YO PLATE 1110 M SECRET SORT – Began awkwardly and bumped CUDDLES FOR KIMMY. Jockey C. Collis was reminded of his obligations under AR131(b) to ride his mounts out fully to the finish of the race. Post race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities. INSTA WORTHY – Shortly after the start brushed with EGYPTIAN GODDESS. Commenced to lay in when placed under pressure, in the straight. Near the 200m became awkwardly placed on the heels of SECRET SORT and was unable to be fully tested to the line. EGYPTIAN GODDESS - Shortly after the start brushed with INSTA WORTHY. CUDDLES FOR KIMMY - Began awkwardly and bumped SECRET SORT. Over raced in the early stages of the event. HI BARBIE – Began awkwardly. Race 5: COUNTRY CUPS CHALLENGE (FINAL) NO METRO WINS LAST 2 YEARS 1630 M CAFFREY (IRE) – Hampered at the start between SKYFORGER and SCORCHED LAND. Raced wide throughout the event. MOCAMBO – Jockey J. P. Stanley reported on scales that the gelding in his opinion did not handle the heavy track conditions. CHOIR BOY – Raced wide throughout the event. On entering the home straight shifted out slightly onto, PICKO ROCKS. SKYFORGER – Shifted out at the start. STAMPEDE WARRIOR – Slow to begin. Was obliged to be steadied when I AM GOOD AT THIS shifted in near the 1500m. Jockey B. Wheeler was reprimanded under AR131(a) for careless riding in this incident. Raced wide throughout the event. PICKO ROCKS – Slow to begin. Upon entrance to the home straight was held up, then shortly after was taken wider by CHIOR BOY resulting in the gelding contacting the hindquarters of BAYERISCHE. SCORCHED LAND – Shifted out at the start. Raced wide throughout the event. CENTAUR – Momentarily inconvenienced passing the 200m. I AM GOOD AT THIS – Slow to begin. BAYERISCHE – Upon entrance to the home straight had its hindquarters turned by PICKO ROCKS. Jockey R. Dolan dropped his near side rein near the 50m. KAZZA'S JET – Raced wide throughout the event. Race 6: VALE PAT DUFF CLASS 6 HANDICAP 1630 M BROOKHAVEN – Hampered shortly after the start and lost ground. Had difficulty obtaining clear running on entering the home straight. MISS JOELENE – Bumped on jumping with PIPISTRELLE. KRONENBOURG (NZ) – Jockey R. Maloney reported that in his opinion the gelding did not handle the heavy track conditions. post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding presented with a cough. Trainer T. Gollan was advised that a veterinary clearance along with an endoscopy would be required prior to the gelding being permitted to race or trial again. FELIX THE SCAT – Jockey R. Maloney reported that in his opinion the gelding did not handle the heavy track conditions. post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities. POETIC DRAMA (NZ) – Raced wide throughout the event. WAIRERE FALLS (NZ) – Jumped away awkwardly and shifted in shortly after the start onto BROOKHAVEN. CLYDE – Raced wide without cover until near the 1100m. PIPISTRELLE – Bumped on jumping with MISS JOELENE. Shifted out under pressure in the straight. Race 7: WIDDEN STUD MODE STAKES 1200 M MISHANI ALOHA – Raced wide. Passing the 250m was obliged to steady to avoid the heels of JEMOMA ALPILAGE which shifted out under pressure. T Marshall, rider of JEMOMA ALPILAGE was reprimanded under AR131(a) for careless riding in this incident. JEMOMA ALPILAGE – Over raced in the early and middle stages of the event. Laid out rounding the home turn. Shifted out under pressure near the 250m. I FOUND YOU – Hampered at the start. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the filly to have a slow recovery. TERRITORY ASH – Bumped with ALLY near the 250m. SHE OURS – Raced wide without cover throughout the event. SURPRISE HONEY – Post race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities. ALLY – Bumped with TERRITORY ASH near the 250m. SOCRAZYINLOVE – Jumped awkwardly and shifted out onto I FOUND YOU. Shifted in under pressure in the straight. Race 8: LADBROKES GEORGE MOORE STAKES 1200 M PRINCE OF BOOM – Approaching the 800m when being restrained to allow HIDDEN WEALTH to cross, his mount commenced to over race before getting the gelding to settle a short distance thereafter. NAMAZU – After hearing a submission from trainer R. Vale in regard to withdrawing NAMAZU due to the heavy track, Stewards acceded to this request and declared NAMAZU a late scratching by order of stewards at 3:35pm. Stewards advised trainer R. Vale that a Heavy 10 track embargo would be placed on the gelding. CIFRADO – Slow to begin. Hampered at the start by MILLANE and lost ground. Jockey C. Graham reported on returning to scales that after losing significant ground in the early stages, the gelding failed to travel in early and middle stages. SMART IMAGE – Rider reported that in his opinion the gelding did not handle the heavy track conditions. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities. MILLANE – Jumped away awkwardly, shifted out and contacted CIFRADO, resulting in the gelding’s hindquarters being turned. Race 9: MAGIC MILLIONS PIERATA PLATE 1200 M AMAZING EAGLE – Slow to begin. BOOMTOWN BOSS – Raced in restricted room when awkwardly placed on the heels of SILVA ‘N’ SUAVE near the 1000m and was obliged to be steadied. Hampered passing the 600m when continued to race in restricted room until rounding the home turn. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities. STREET CHASE – Shifted out under pressure over the final stages. PARETO – Slow to begin. Improved from a wide position and worked forward to obtain the lead near the 700m. Rider K. Wilson-Taylor reported that the gelding over raced in the early stages, and he therefore elected to allow his mount to stride forward to a leading position. He added that PARETO commenced to weaken on straightening. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no visible abnormalities. Race 10: LADBROKES CITY TO SURF QTIS 3YO 1630 M ITALIAN RIVIERA – Raced wide throughout the event. BLANTONS RUN – Rider reported that in his opinion the filly did not handle the heavy track conditions. WOWZINO – Inclined to lay out in the early stages. Passing the 600m was disappointed for a run when attempting to shift out to improve. Lost its off fore plate in running. MOON SWEEPER – Began awkwardly. PROPOSE – Lost its near side winker near the 1500m. Raced wide throughout. Rider reported that the filly hung out throughout the event. SUN WORSHIPPER – Raced wide throughout the event.
