Race 1: SOUTHBANK INSURANCE BROKERS QTIS 2YO H’CAP - 1200M
 
NASTY GAL – Slow to begin.
 
SILKY BROWN – Jumped awkwardly.

Race 2: WEDDINGS@TATTERSALL'S BENCHMARK 75 H’CAP - 2206M
 
FLITERO – Raced wide without cover in the early stages. R. Fradd reported at scale that his mount failed to sprint when the tempo quickened passing the 600m and in his opinion the horse did not appreciate today's track conditions.
 
I'LL TAKE THE JAG – Finished distant last. A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding had a slower than normal recovery rate.
 
SHANAKEE – Slow to begin. Brushed the rail near the 1850m.
 
ROCK ON IVY – As apprentice S. Fawke was late arriving on course, apprentice T. Brooker was substituted as the rider of this runner.
 
Race 3: WINNING EDGE PRESENTATIONS BENCHMARK 90 H’CAP - 1000M
 
ROCKY KING – Raced wide without cover.
 
LUCKY METEOR – Knuckled shortly after the start.
 
VIENNA QUEEN – Had to be steadied after leaving the 700m.
 
TISANI TOMSO – Slow to begin. Had to be steadied when racing in restricted room approaching the 600m.
 
SHAPIN LADY – L. Cassidy was severely reprimanded for allowing his mount to shift in passing the 700m when not fully clear of runners to the inside.
 
STELLA OMBRA – Trainer K. Schweida was fined $200 for the late declaration of J. Lloyd as the rider of this runner.
 
Following the running of this event the track was upgraded to SOFT 6.
 
Race 4: CARLTON MID QTIS 3YO H’CAP - 1400M
 
NO ANNAMOSSITY – Slow to begin. Had to alter course to obtain clear running approaching the 200m.
 
BILLY THE KID – L. Dittman was fined $200 for using the whip on 8 occasions prior to the 100m.
 
DOWNLOADING – Taken wider at the 1100m and raced wide without cover.
 
REAL CLASSIC – Taken wider at the 1100m and raced wide without cover.
 
VICTORY STREET – Taken wider at the 1100m.
 
WINNING KISS – Had to be steadied away from heels near the 1100m and shifted out. Had to be steadied near the 150m when taken out close to heels.
 
GENERAL COS – Bumped on two occasions shortly after the start.
 
Race 5: FUNCTIONS@TATTERSALL'S CLASS 3 PLATE - 1500M
 
TWO RONNYS – Slow to begin.
 
WHO'S YOUR DADDY – Slow to begin.
 
MADAME DE BAN – Hampered on jumping when tightened for room between runners.
 
SAY YOU LOVE ME – Held up rounding the home turn.
 
BENFICA PRINCESS – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
HIGH DEGREE – Jumped away awkwardly.
 
LAREBIL – Overraced in the early stages.
 
Race 6: COLIN MCALPINE AM MEMORIAL CLASSIC - 1200M
 
BEATNIKS – Slow to begin.
 
FREQUENDLY – Shifted in approaching the 1000m. Rider J. Mallyon immediately attempted to straighten his mount.
 
NOTONYOURLIFE – Jumped awkwardly. Held up after leaving the 300m and shifted outwards to obtain clear running.
 
SHEISWHATSHEIS – Crowded near the 1000m when taken in.
 
MY LITTLE FLICKA – Knuckled on jumping.
 
DAISY DUKE – Tightened for room after passing the 1000m. Bumped by another runner making the home turn.
 
THEMIS – Bumped by another runner making the home turn.
 
MAGIC I AM – Connections advised that from the wide barrier the horse would be ridden back in the field with cover if circumstances permit. The horse was ridden back but forced to race wide without cover. Finished last. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.
 
LADY DUPORTH – Eased when momentarily tightened for room near the 1000m.
 
Following the running of this event the track was upgraded to SOFT 5.
 
Race 7: SKY RACING TATTERSALL'S RECOGNITION STAKES - 1400M
 
FRESPANOL – Hampered shortly after the start when tightened for room.
 
BEWHATYOUWANNABE – Raced in restricted room passing the 1000m.
 
MR EPIC – A post-race veterinary examination
 
RULING FORCE – Jumped awkwardly and lost ground. Had to be checked away from heels near the 100m.
 
CYLINDER BEACH – Raced in restricted room passing the 1000m.
 
IN HIS STRIDE – Raced wide without cover.
 
CRAIGLEA WANDOO – Permission was granted for apprentice C. Jokic to replace senior rider R. Plumb when he had taken rides at the Gold Coast. Raced in restricted room near the 1000m.
 
Race 8: G.H. MUMM BENCHMARK 80 H’CAP - 1200M
 
ZAHA'S ACE – Reared over whilst parading, examined by the veterinary surgeon and declared a late scratching at 5.11 pm. Stewards ordered that all monies invested on ZAHA'S ACE be refunded, with the following deductions to apply to successful wagers:
 
            5 cents in the dollar for the Win #11
            5 cents in the dollar for place of winner #11
            4 cents in the dollar for 2nd place #10
            4 cents in the dollar for 3rd place #12
 
Starting price bets are not subject to deductions.
 
LE CAP – Slow to begin.
 
APPLE THIEF – Had to steady away from heels passing the 800m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to have thumps.
 
SMOOTH TALKER – Knuckled on jumping. Raced wide in the early stages. Apprentice R. Payne was reprimanded for allowing her mount to shift in approaching the home turn when not fully clear of another runner.
 
DREAM OF SLIPS – Had to steady to avoid heels approaching the home turn.
