SUPPLEMENTARY
 
From Eagle Farm Meeting Saturday 4.3.17 – Race 8
 
Subsequent to the report on 4 March 2017 trainer T. Gollan advised stewards that DEE NINE ELLE was showing signs of being in season and he has decided the mare will be sent for an immediate spell.
 
For Brisbane Race Club Meeting at Doomben Saturday 11.3.17
 
Due to a misunderstanding Ms R. Williams was declared the rider for HARD STRIDE in Race 3 at jockey declarations however,  jockey D. Browne had been previously engaged by the connections and will ride HARD STRIDE.
 
GENERAL
 
As App E. Ljung was injured stewards permitted rider changes as per the Stewards Race Day Summary.
 
Race 1: Shane Scriven 1984-1985 Maiden H’Cap – 2206m
 
No racing incidents.
 
Race 2: Chris Munce 1988-1989 Maiden Plate – 1500m
 
MADLUCE MISSILE – Stood flatfooted and missed the start.
 
SALUTE THE PRINCE – Slow into stride.  Approaching the 300m had to be steadied when disappointed for a run.
 
REAL PINK – Near the 500m was bumped on hind quarter.
 
ENGRAVED – Rounding the home turn was inconvenienced and carried wider.
 
LUJAC – A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be suffering from mild cardiac arrhythmia and making a respiratory noise.  Trainer B. Brown advised the gelding would be sent for an immediate spell.  LUJAC will be required to perform satisfactorily in an official trial and a veterinary clearance must be produced prior to the gelding racing again.
 
 
Race 3: Jim Byrne 1990-1991 Fillies & Mares Ratings Band 0-70 H’Cap – 1000m
 
STICK WITH ME – Slow into stride.
 
NOOR DROPPER - A post race veterinary examination of the mare revealed no abnormalities.  
 
After receiving comments from a number of senior riders regarding a particular section of the track between the 700m and 400m had deteriorated following the running of the first 3 races the track was downgraded to a Good 4.
 
 
Race 4: Alan Russell 1994-1996 C, G & E Ratings Band 0-70 H’Cap – 1000m
 
Trainer D. Forster was fined $100.00 for the late declaration of D. Griffin as the rider of KHALEEQ.
 
DEEPEST – Slow into stride and then steadied when crowded.
 
ALL TROOPS – Slow into stride.  Laid in in the straight.
 
FLORIDA FELLOW – Lost an off hind plate near the 800m.
 
THIS IS AUSTRALIA – Laid in in the straight.
 
VISION IN MOTION – A post race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near fore fetlock.  Trainer B. Lunney was advised that a veterinary clearance must be provided prior to the gelding racing again.  Found to have lost an off fore plate following the event. 
 
 
Race 5: Michael Rodd 2001-2004 QTIS 3YO Fillies Maiden Plate – 1300m
 
WHODUNNIT – Slow to begin.  Laid out on the home turn.
 
DAINTY STEPPER – Slow to begin.  Checked near the 700m when overracing.
 
PANDORA’S TALE – Badly crowded on jumping.
 
R. Stewart the rider of FUN FOR ME pleaded guilty to a charge of careless riding under the provisions of AR137(a) in that he allowed his mount to shift in near the 1000m when not clear of DAINTY STEPPER, which had to be checked.   Jockey Stewart’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of nine (9) days to commence midnight 13 March 2017 and expire midnight 22 March 2017.
 
DINISTY – Steadied off heels near the 1000m.  B. Stewart the rider of CLIMATE was reprimanded for allowing his mount to shift in causing the crowding.
 
 
Race 6: Ric McMahon 2006-2007 Class 4 H’Cap – 1835m
 
MR LEBROCK – Stood flatfooted and missed the start by a considerable distance.  Trainer T. Edmonds was advised that the gelding will require a further barrier certificate before being permitted to race again.
 
OUTSTRIP – Slow into stride.
 
SCOUTABOUT – Near the 1300m had to be steadied when crowded for room when taken in by other runners.  Jockey L. Dittman (TIPS AND BEERS) was reprimanded for this incident.
 
 
Race 7: Racezone National Apprentice Series Class 3 Plate – 1400m
 
HAPPY SNITZEL – Slow into stride.  Raced wide throughout.
 
DAMN FINE – Slow into stride.  Hung out badly on the home turn.  Raced wide throughout.
 
MISHANI SLEUTH – Badly buffeted approaching the first turn and eventually steadied when crowded for room between ONE MANSINI, which shifted out and CAFÉ TERRACE, which in turn shifted in.  Both App Q. Krogh (ONE MANSINI) and App R. Johnston-Bell (CAFÉ TERRACE) were reprimanded for this incident.  
 
OCEAN CITY – Held up rounding the home turn and in the early part of the straight.
 
SUGARPARMA – Raced wide throughout.
 
 
Race 8: Tegan Harrison 2013-2014 Class 2 H’Cap – 1200m
 
DESMON’S PRIDE – Fractious in the stalls prior to the start and was slow into stride.
 
JESSIE’S BOY – Hampered shortly after the start.
 
DIAMOND ON COMMAND – Bumped heavily on the hind quarters near the 500m.
 
T. Harrison the rider of ROSETTA’S COMET was found guilty of a charge of careless riding under the provisions of AR137(a) in that she permitted her mount to shift out near the 500m in an endeavour to force a run between REMEMBERING FRANK and DIAMOND ON COMMAND, where in the opinion of the stewards there was insufficient room to do so, resulting in her mount clipping the heels of REMEMBERING FRANK and blundering.   Jockey Harrison’s licence to ride in races was suspended for a period of twelve (12) days to commence midnight 12 March 2017 and expire midnight 24 March 2017.
 
VITAL LOVE – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
