POCKET PISTOL – Bumped on jumping. BADOOSH – Slow into stride. Improved on to heels after passing the 200m and shifted wider on the course to obtain clear running. BELLS APPROACHING – Slow into stride. Had to be steadied away from heels passing the 150m. LET’S CHEER AGAIN – Laid out rounding the home turn and then put in an awkward stride approaching the 450m. COUNTRY COCKTAIL – Hampered on jumping. Bumped with UNDERWOOD entering the home straight. Shifted out over the final 50m. DEVINE FACTOR – Hampered on jumping. SIZZLING BABE – Slow into stride. Raced greenly throughout and hung in under pressure in the home straight. UNDERWOOD – Began awkwardly. Raced greenly throughout. Bumped with COUNTRY COCKTAIL entering the home straight. WOOLSEY – Began awkwardly and shifted out. Race 2: TAB BENCHMARK 75 H’CAP – 2200M SHAKOPEE was a late scratching at 8:03 am. Subject to further submissions from trainer T. Haydon, a fine of $200 will be imposed for failing to scratch SHAKOPEE by the prescribed time. HAPPY GO PLUCKY – Raced three wide without cover in the early stages before being allowed to press forward to obtain a position outside the leader passing the 1100m. MISHANI VAIDRA – Momentarily held up for a short distance near the 300m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. OAKFIELD MONARCH – Bumped on jumping. BACKHOUSE BILLY – Began awkwardly. BRONZEGATE – Prior to the start being effected the blindfold was removed from the horse, and after being removed became entangled with jockey L. Cassidy’s leg, resulting in him being slightly inconvenienced on jumping. The blindfold then detached shortly after. SHOCKFACTOR – Slow into stride. Had to be eased off the heels of BACKHOUSE BILLY making the turn into the home straight and thereafter was inclined to lay in. ANTIGONE – Began awkwardly. LUCKY CAPTAIN – Brushed the running rail near the 900m. ROMAN DOLL – Began awkwardly. CANNONGATE – Shifted in abruptly when being corrected and as a result made contact with BRONZEGATE at the 150m. R. Fradd reported that in his opinion the horse felt awkward in its action over the final 300m. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Race 3: MEAGHER RACING EAGLE WAY STAYERS SERIES-FINAL-QTIS 3YO QUALITY H’CAP – 2200M A MAN TO MATCH – Approaching the 350m was disappointed for a run between CEOL NA MARA and UBER MOVER, which rolled outwards when tiring, and thereafter had difficulty obtaining clear running until passing the 100m when it shifted to the inside of CEOL NA MARA, making contact with ULTIMATE RING. TRUSTY LAD – Commenced to overrace passing the 1800m and had to be steadied away from heels. ULTIMATE RING – Became unbalanced and shifted inwards passing the 100m after being bumped heavily by A MAN TO MATCH (D. Smith). D. Smith was reprimanded. MINGALAH – Began awkwardly. Momentarily steadied to avoid the heels of ULTIMATE RING passing the 100m. STATELY MANNER – Began awkwardly. UBER MOVER – Raced keenly when racing outside the leader in the early stages. N. Day was reprimanded regarding his whip use in the home straight. Race 4: MUNCE RACING QTIS 3YO H’CAP – 1000M UNCONDITIONAL – Hampered at the start. Improved on to heels approaching the 200m and shifted to the inside to obtain clear running but again was disappointed for a run passing the 100m and shifted further to the inside to obtain clear running. ARCHER’S PARADOX – Began awkwardly. Bumped by TULLIO passing the 200m when commencing to weaken. SPENDING MY TIME – Slow into stride. ZOOM BY – Began awkwardly. RED DOULTON – Hampered on jumping and lost considerable ground. TULLIO – Hampered on jumping. Laid in slightly passing the 200m. GREYT LOVE – Raced three wide without cover throughout. DOSS – Began awkwardly and shifted out. Shifted out under pressure over the final 80m. Race 5: INGLIS EASTER 8 - 10 APRIL CLASS 6 H’CAP – 1000M MY GIRL HAYLEY – Began awkwardly. Lost the off fore plate in running. BASARA – Began awkwardly. Raced three wide with cover. ADORADANCER – Raced four wide without cover. BOLD XAVVI – Raced three wide without cover. Race 6: INGLIS CLASSIC 9 - 14 FEBRUARY BENCHMARK 70 H’CAP – 1600M The start of this race was delayed when SURPRISE BULLET was reluctant to be loaded. Trainer B. Lockwood was advised that a warning would be placed against the gelding. CHARLIE CAT – Slow to begin. VAULTING AMBITION – Bumped on jumping. A post-race veterinary examination revealed lameness in the off hind leg. Trainer C. Anderson was advised that the horse will require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again. OMINECA – Hampered on jumping and lost ground. PRIVATE HERO – Had difficulty obtaining clear running in the home straight. STAR SILK – Raced three wide without cover. Had a tendency to lay inwards in the home straight. SURPRISE BULLET – The veterinary surgeon reported that the horse was exhibiting heat stress post-race. COOLMUNDA – Raced three wide with cover. Hung outwards making the turn into the home straight. NASHVILLE SKYLINE – Shortly after passing the 800m had to be steadied after racing up on to the heels of LE MATTAN. The veterinary surgeon reported that the horse was kicked in the offside knee by another runner in the placegetters’ enclosure and required treatment. VOLTAIRE LUMIERE – Hampered on jumping. Held up for clear running in the early part of the home straight. LADY NO MORE – Raced three wide with cover. RANCHO MONTOYA – Slow to begin. Raced three wide with cover. IRON DOME – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages. Race 7: GOLLAN RACING CLASS 3 PLATE – 1200M UNLIKELY STORY – B. Stewart was reprimanded for his use of the whip prior to the 100m. WALLANDER – Moved to a three wide position after passing the 800m when LE BEAU RENARD shifted out and then raced three wide for the remainder of the event. CABIN FEVER – Hampered shortly after the start. Improved on to heels after passing the 100m and went to the line without being fully tested. LA SCOPA – Began awkwardly. Laid in under pressure over the final 200m. BLUE COMET – Bumped on jumping and lost ground. LE BEAU RENARD – Laid in for a short distance passing the 1100m. CRYSTAL AMOR – Lost the off hind plate in running. GUN BOLT – Raced three wide with cover throughout. CRUZE – Shifted out and bumped MISTER SPINKS passing the 200m and then had some difficulty securing clear running for a short distance. Stewards opened an inquiry into jockey D. Browne’s riding of the gelding. After taking evidence from jockey Browne and trainer B. Lockwood stewards adjourned the inquiry to a time and date to be fixed. The horse was examined by the veterinary surgeon who reported no significant findings. MISTER SPINKS – Raced three wide without cover throughout. Bumped heavily by CRUZE passing the 200m. Race 8: MY HOME IMPROVEMENTS QLD BENCHMARK 90 H’CAP – 1200M PEACOCK – When shifting out to improve approaching the 300m, made heavy contact with HINGUS ROSE. Slightly hampered after passing the 50m when TIME TO TORQUE shifted out. BERGERAC – Slow into stride. Raced three wide without cover throughout. Improved on to heels after passing the 150m and had to be steadied before securing clear running to the outside of THE MECHANIC shortly after. SPUR LE JOUER – Began awkwardly and shifted in. Bumped with DIVINE DICE shortly after the start. HINGUS ROSE – Bumped by PEACOCK approaching the 300m when that runner shifted out to improve. MOGADOR – Slow to begin. PRIMAL FLIGHT – Raced three wide without cover throughout. GLITRA – Raced three wide with cover throughout. Had to be steadied away from heels passing the 500m. DIVINE DICE – Bumped with SPUR LE JOUER shortly after the start. Lost the near hind plate in running. TIME TO TORQUE – Shifted out under pressure over the final 50m, tightening PEACOCK. CELLARGIRL – Slow into stride and was then hampered. BAT A KAT – Raced four wide without cover. Race 9: INGLIS PREMIER 3 - 6 MARCH CLASS 6 H’CAP – 1400M OINK – Had to be restrained away from the heels of ZOFONIC DANCER passing the 1200m. ZOFONIC DANCER – Had to be steadied away from the heels of LOOKS LIKE ELVIS passing the 1200m. Raced three wide without cover. When questioned regarding the gelding’s disappointing performance, M. McGillivray stated that he had to use the horse up in the early stages to take up a forward position close to the rail and in his view the horse will be better suited racing further back in the field with cover and will be better suited over a further distance than that of today’s event. KUBIS – Began awkwardly. FOXY HOUSEWIFE – Began awkwardly. SAINT PATRICKS DAY – Hung inwards in the straight. CHAPTER AND VERSE – Held up for clear running between the 450m and the 300m. CORNROW – Raced three wide with cover. Had to be steadied away from the heels of OINK (C. Bayliss) approaching the 450m when that runner shifted out to improve. Apprentice C. Bayliss was reprimanded. BOLD ASSASSIN – Bumped by UMBERTO approaching the 300m. HOTEL COSTE – Bumped on jumping. UMBERTO – Hampered on jumping. Had difficulty obtaining clear running in the straight and approaching the 300m shifted inwards, making contact with BOLD ASSASSIN.
