Race 1: Worldwide Printing QTIS 3yo H’cap – 1600m
 
SIZZLING BABE – As jockey D. McIntosh was stood down by stewards, jockey M. Du Plessis was substituted as the rider of the horse.
 
CONCEALED DYNAMITE – Jumped away awkwardly. Laid outwards when giving ground in the straight.
 
STAR OF MICHELIN – Raced wide in the early stages.  When questioned jockey McGillivray stated that after being caught wide early he obtained a position outside the leader. He further stated that despite the slow tempo the gelding failed to run on when placed under pressure and disappointed.  A post race veterinary examination revealed cardiac arrhythmia. Connections were advised that the gelding would be required to undergo an ECG, with results reported to stewards, as well as trialling satisfactorily and a veterinary clearance to be supplied. A  swab sample was taken.
 
DON’T WAIVER – Raced keenly in the early stages.
 
MISS SILKY – Momentarily held up making the turn into the straight and was again held up on a couple of occasions over the final 200m.
 
 
 
Race 2: Alex Gow Funerals Benchmark 75 H’cap – 2200m
 
BROCSON – Slow to begin.
 
CATCH ME LATAR – Laid inwards in the straight.
 
OCEAN ADDICT – Laid out under pressure over the final 200m.
 
 
Race 3: First Asset Management Ratings Band 0-75 H’cap – 1200m
 
BOGEY MAN – Slow to begin after jumping away awkwardly.
 
RIDEONABIGJETPLANE –  Which was proving difficult to settle, shifted outwards abruptly across the heels of MONEY TALK near the 700m.
 
MACEWEN – Bumped near the 300m. When questioned regarding the run, jockey B. Stewart stated that after initially settling back in the field he was unable to improve his position in the middle stages. He further stated that the gelding had run on fairly and maybe looking for further ground.
 
UNDER THE THUMB – Shifted out making contact with MACEWEN at the 300m.
 
DITMAS – A post race veterinary examination revealed slight heat stress.

 
Race 4: Harrisons Menswear Class 6 Plate – 1200m
 
CADOGAN – Slow to begin.  Raced wide from the 600m.
 
RECKLESS CHOICE – Slow to begin. Raced wide from the 600m.
 
NEW HORIZONS – After being disappointed for a run near the 200m had to be taken outwards to obtain clear running.
 
 
Race 5: Qld Bulk Storage CG&E Class 3 Plate – 1400m
 
KITTEAU – Slow to begin, then had to be steadied off the heels of FACTORY WARRIOR, which shifted out.
 
HOMEWORK  – Jumped outwards at the start, making contact with BIRKIN BLACK.
 
BIRKIN BLACK – Bumped on jumping.
 
THE ADMINISTRATOR – Buffeted on jumping.
 
SAY I CEE YOU – Which jumped away awkwardly, shifted inwards, making heavy contact with THE ADMINISTRATOR. As a result of this incident, jockey  Byrne lost his off-side stirrup iron, which he regained shortly after. Was held up in the early part of the straight.
 
FACTORY WARRIOR – Raced wide throughout.
 
JULE’S SPIRIT – Hung outwards and raced wide throughout, and finished the race extremely wide.  A post race veterinary examination revealed an ulcer on the offside inside cheek. Connections were advised that the horse must trial satisfactorily prior to its next race start.  
 
 
Race 6: Lady Williams Memorial Benchmark 85 H’cap – 1000m
 
LIFESAVER –  On arrival on course was examined by the veterinary surgeon and found to have skin off both hips and to be lame behind.  Subsequently declared a late scratching at 12.59 pm on veterinary advice. Connections were advised that veterinary clearance must be provided prior to its next race start.  
 
WHYPEEO - Slow to begin.
 
ANOTHER WHISKEY – Slow to begin.
 
HIGH COST – Which was racing keenly, shifted outwards near the 500m and in so doing bumped MISERY on to CAPITAL CONNECTION. Apprentice Jockey S Thornton was reprimanded for failing to claim full allowance
 
MISERY – Bumped and lost ground near the 500m.  Raced wide throughout.
 
CAPITAL CONNECTION – Which raced wide throughout was bumped and carried wider near the 500m.
 
Race 7: Ascot Green Benchmark 80 H’cap – 1600m
 
GRANNY RED SHOES – Examined at the barriers by the veterinary surgeon and cleared to start.
 
OUTRAGED – Slow to begin.
 
BENFICA PRINCESS – Slow to begin.
 
CHARLIE CAT – Raced wide in the early stages.
 
HIGH DEGREE – Raced 3 wide throughout.
 
Race 8: Ascot Plaza Open H’cap – 1400m
 
SOVEREIGN NATION – Slow to begin.  Held up for clear running from the 400m until the concluding stages.
 
MONSIEUR GUSTAVE – Jumped outwards at the start, making contact with KUBIS.
 
KUBIS – Bumped on jumping.
 
INGEEGOODBE – Lost off fore plate in running
 
 
Race 9: One Fifty Ascot Bar F&M Class 3 Plate – 1400m
 
ESTER’S ROSE – Jumped outwards at the start, making contact with SUCH A HUSSY.
 
SUCH A HUSSY – Bumped on jumping and proved difficult to settle, getting its head up near the 1200m and again passing the 900m.
 
SEENTOOMANY – Near the 300m became unbalanced when attempting a marginal run to the inside of CRYSTAL AMOR.
 
WIRED – Shortly after passing the 200m when tiring steadied when crowded between  LADY SOLEMO and OUR GIRL SILKE, which rolled out marginally.
 
CRYSTAL AMOR -  A post race veterinary examination revealed cardiac arrhythmia. Connections were advised that the gelding would be required to undergo an ECG, with results reported to stewards, as well as trialling satisfactorily and a veterinary clearance to be supplied.
 
LADY SOLEMO – Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
