Plumb was advised that the gelding would be ineligible to start for 3 months and prior to resuming racing must gallop satisfactorily over 1000m in the presence of a steward. LA JUMENT – Bumped near the 500m. Had to be eased over the concluding stages when WATCH THE CAT shifted inwards. S. Cormack, the rider of WATCH THE CAT, was advised to exercise greater care when shifting ground. DREAMING OF BISCAY – Made contact with the running rail near the 550m. ZOUCARA – Slow to begin. WATCH THE CAT – Bumped near the 500m when LA JUMENT shifted outwards. Race 2: XXXX DRY QTIS 2YO H'CAP – 1400M TUMBLER RIDGE – Got its head up when racing keenly near the 1000m. BELLISSIMI AMICI – Taken inwards near the 250m to obtain clear running. MISHANI EPIC – When questioned, trainer L. Ross stated that the horse had worked well both before its prior start and today, however the win today was unexpected. He further stated that at its last start it had disappointed, however it was second up from a spell and this may have been a contributing factor. MISHANI VANDAL – Slow to begin, then raced wide when improving in the early stages. Race 3: SOUTHS SPORTS CLUB BENCHMARK 75 H'CAP – 2425M BREAKDANCE – Underwent a veterinary examination at the barriers and passed fit to race. Weakened badly in the home straight. A post-race veterinary examination revealed the gelding to be lame in the near foreleg. Connections were advised that the horse will require a veterinary clearance prior to being permitted to race again. HOLBROOK – Laid outwards making the turn into the straight. ROYAL ATOM – Resaddled at the barriers. BROCSON – Made contact with METEOROLOGIST approaching the 600m when racing tight to the inside of HOLBROOK. METEOROLOGIST – Bumped approaching the 600m. Momentarily held up making the turn into the straight. Race 4: TULLOCH HOUSE BENCHMARK 70 H'CAP – 1000M PAPA JO – Laid out over the final 100m. SPENDING MY TIME – Slow into stride. I AM VENUS – Momentarily crowded shortly after the start. WINNING SHOT – Momentarily steadied near the 250m when I AM VENUS rolled in. Race 5: GALLOPERS SPORTS CLUB OPEN H'CAP – 1500M PRIORITISE – Raced three wide without cover throughout. FORTENSKY – Bounded on jumping. TREVELYAN – A post-race veterinary examination revealed soreness over the rump. Connections were advised that the horse will require a veterinary clearance prior to being permitted to race again. Race 6: ASCOT GREEN QTIS 3YO H'CAP – 1000M GO DEEP – Slow to begin after rearing at the start. As a result the saddle shifted, placing rider B. Stewart at some difficulty throughout. LE PALMIER – Raced keenly and three wide throughout. XANTHUS – M. Cahill reported at scale that his mount was reluctant to stretch out and in his opinion failed to handle the track. ORIENTAL GIRL – M. Hellyer was reminded to ride his mounts to the finish. AIR SPIRIT – Slow to begin. Eased shortly after the start when awkwardly placed and crowded between MY BOY SAM, which steadied outwards away from MODELKA, which shifted inwards abruptly. THE MOVE – A post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Race 7: MOET & CHANDON CHAIRMANS CLUB QTIS 3YO H'CAP – 1600M STAR OF MICHELIN – Bumped when crowded on jumping between AL JOOD and BUZZER BEATER. DEE DAY DIVA – Inconvenienced near the 1300m when PETITE PROMISE blundered. AL JOOD – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and was cleared to start. Inconvenienced near the 1300m when PETITE PROMISE blundered. Raced three wide without cover from the 600m. EPICURIOUS – Slow to begin. RED BLOOM – The veterinary surgeon reported that the horse had sustained an abrasion on the off hind leg as a result of being galloped on. Returned having cast the off hind plate. PETITE PROMISE – Blundered badly near the 1300m after clipping the heels of RED BLOOM. Race 8: TAB BENCHMARK 80 H'CAP – 1845M AKAGE – Slow to begin. Proved difficult to settle for a short distance near the 1600m. GALTERO – Laid outwards under pressure in the straight. SLOW HANDS – Proved difficult to settle and raced keenly in the early and middle stages. CALIBRATION – Raced three wide in the early and middle stages. Lost the near fore plate in running. MISS SHANTI – Slow to begin. DEVLANN – Shifted wider near the 1000m after making contact with PLITVICE and raced three wide without cover from that point. Race 9: EVA AIR CLASS 6 PLATE – 1200M I AM VINNIE – Slow to begin. Raced three wide with cover throughout. Inconvenienced near the 500m. Brushed with BOOMTOWN LASS over the concluding stages. MACEWEN – Blundered and checked near the 500m and thereafter was eased out of the race. On inquiry it was established that approaching the 500m ASHMAN was racing just off the fence and racing tight to the inside of BOOMTOWN LASS. Shortly after, ASHMAN rolled out marginally and TARDIS attempted to improve to its inside. ASHMAN then shifted in after making contact with BOOMTOWN LASS, with TARDIS then having to be eased and then laid outwards despite the efforts of its rider, resulting in MACEWEN being crowded, becoming awkwardly placed and clipping the heels of TARDIS. In the circumstances stewards were of the opinion that the incident was not the result of the carelessness of any rider. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings. TISANI MAGIC – Slow to begin. AMERICANA MAGIC – Raced three wide without cover throughout. Hampered near the 300m. TANGO RAIN – Raced three wide in the early stages before being ridden forward to cross to the lead passing the 800m. BOOMTOWN LASS – Brushed with I AM VINNIE over the concluding stages. TARDIS – Inclined to lay out near the 300m and hampered AMERICANA MAGIC.
