Race 1: BEST BRED SPIRIT OF BOOMS SELL IN 2021 QTIS 3-Y-O Handicap 1400 metres
 
DUSTY TYCOON – Shifted in near the 1000m.
 
DZSENIFER – Began awkwardly and shifted in.
 
JETTY -Bumped on jumping. Checked near the 1000m. Apprentice A Patis was found guilty pursuant to AR131(a) in that near the 1000m she permitted her mount to shift in when not sufficiently clear of GOOD CHAT which resulted in that runner being crowded inwards causing both JETTY and KOTABHARU to be checked. Apprentice A Patis’s license to ride in races was suspended for a period of 8 days to commence midnight 16/12/20 and expire midnight 24/12/20.
 
PALLADAS - Bumped on jumping. Hampered and taken wide near the1000m.
 
BETTER LAD -Raced four wide throughout. Heavily bumped on the hind quarters and became unbalanced near the 450m by BRANNIGAN which was shifted wider. Galloped on, on the off hind.
 
BRANNIGAN – Raced three wide throughout. Buffeted near the 450m when racing between BETTER LAD and GOOD CHAT. Jockey L Cassidy reported that his mount was inclined to hang in the middle stages. Jockey R Maloney was charged and found guilty pursuant to AR131(a) in that near the 450m he directed his mount out in an attempt to secure clear running and in doing so caused BRANNIGAN to be buffeted between BETTER LAD and GOOD CHAT. BETTER LAD which was racing to the outside of BRANNIGAN was then heavily bumped and become unbalanced. Jock R Maloney’s license to ride in race was suspended for a period of 10 days to commence midnight 19/12/20 and expire midnight 29/12/20.
 
LITTLE MISS PIXIE – Slow into stride then bumped by DZSENIFER which shifted in.
 
KOTABHARU – Shifted out on jumping, contacting JETTY which in turn contacted PALLADAS. Checked near the 1000m.
 
GOOD CHAT – Tightened and forced inwards near the 1000m. When attempting to secure clear running rounding the home turn bumped with BRANNGAN which became unbalanced.
 
 
Race 2: TAB THE EAGLE WAY 1820 metres
 
 
SEE MARIE – Had difficulty obtaining clear running in the early part of home straight.
 
WAY BEYOND – Tightened on jumping between DUNE FORTY FIVE and PETUNIA
 
PETUNIA – Began awkwardly and shifted in. Steadied near the 1600m when ALIRAAJ shifted in.
 
DUNE FORTY FIVE -Began awkwardly and shifted out.
 
After the running of this race the track was upgraded to a Good 4.
 
Race 3: GREG HARRIS MEMORIAL QTIS Class 6 Handicap 1200 metres
 
 
ELIXIR – Reared as the start was effected and lost ground. Raced tight to the inside of INVINCORE between the 150m and 100m.
 
VALARIO – Bumped on jumping, shifted out bumping with ROMAN AUREUS. Steadied when racing keenly near the 800m. Had difficulty obtaining clear running between the 400m and 200m.
 
ROMAN AUREUS – Bumped on jumping and became unbalanced. Near the 800m was awkwardly placed between VALARIO and PORTO DURO.
 
POTRO DURO – Raced three wide throughout.
 
MALAHIDE -An explanation was sought regarding the mares disappointing performance. Jockey G Boss stated that after beginning well and being caught wide he elected to settle in a more forward position with cover. Jockey Boss further added that MALAHIDE has previously raced best when ridden towards the rear of the field. A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities.

INVINCORE – Began awkwardly, shifted out and bumped with VALARIO.
 
 
Race 4: RQ SUMMER PROVINCIAL SERIES FINAL NMW L2Y Handicap 1300 metres
 
ASHMAN – Began awkwardly and shifted out.
 
BUFFY – Tightened on jumping and lost ground. Jockey M Mc Gillivray reported that his saddle slipped on jumping.
 
CORAL BAY – Slow to begin.
 
JETSKI – Slow to begin.
 
TYCOON STREET – Slow to begin.
 
COLPO DI TAMBURO – Near 1000m steadied inwards away from the heels of GEE TEE TEE which shifted in. Jockey B Thompson was advised to exercise greater care.
 
 
Race 5: THE PHELAN READY TO BUY A BOOM STAKES 1000 metres
 
GOLDEN EIGHTY – Slow to begin.
 
BABY WONG – Slipped on jumping.
 
PRIME ASSET – Began awkwardly, shortly thereafter tightened and lost ground.
 
ALPINE EDGE – Shifted out when placed under pressure near the 200m.
 
RAFFALLI – Proved difficult to proceed to the start and delayed the start. Raced three wide throughout.
 
COCHRANE – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Jockey J Byrne was reprimanded pursuant to AR135(5) in that he used his whip on 16 occasions, 2 more than permitted.
 
Race 6: BOOMER BLOODSTOCK CALAWAY GAL STAKES 1000 metres
 
FAKE LOVE – Raced three wide throughout. Shifted out near the 500m.
 
SWEET DOLLY - Shifted out abruptly near the 150m despite the efforts of its rider, severely checking MISS IN CHARGE. Trainer Kevin Hansen was advised that a warning would be place on the filly for its racing manners. Mr Hansen also advised that he may consider a gear change when the filly resumes.
 
PRINCESS BOJACK – Slow to begin, tightened and lost ground. Shifted ground near the 50m.
 
TRUE MOONLIGHT – Blundered on jumping, shifted in tightening PRINCESS BOJACK. Near the 50m awkwardly placed between PRINCESS BOJACK and SUMMERBEEL which shifted ground.
 
ORIENTAL PRINCESS – Inclined to lay out in the home straight.
 
LOVIN' FEELIN' – Slow to begin then forced inwards and steadied from heels.
 
APPLE TART – Near the 500m eased when racing greenly and awkwardly placed by FAKE LOVE which shifted out.  Jockey B Stewart was reminded of his obligations to fully test his mount to the line.
 
MISS IN CHARGE – Raced three wide with cover. Near the150m severely checked.
 
SUMMERBEEL  - Shifted ground near the 50m.
 
Race 7: SKY RACING BRIBIE Handicap 1000 metres
 
JUST ORM – Began awkwardly shifted in contacting BOOMTOWN LASS.
 
SPURCRAFT - Slow to begin.
 
PLAGUE STONE – Pulled hard early between the 800m and 450m.
 
CAPITAL CONNECTION – Shifted in on jumping.
 
BOOMTOWN LASS – Bumped on jumping.
 
AKASAKI – Inconvenienced on jumping by CAPITAL CONNECTION which shifted in after the start.
 
 
 
Race 8: ROKU GIN THE GATEWAY 1400 metres
 
 
PROFIT – Slow to begin. Checked near the 450m after contacting the running rail.
 
FROSTY ROCKS – Performed poorly A post-race veterinary examination revealed no apparent abnormalities. Jockey G Boss could offer no explanation for the gelding’s performance. A sample was taken.
 
PANIAGUA - Raced three wide throughout.
 
STAMPE – Apprentice J Huxtable was charged pursuant to AR132(5) in that he used his whip in an excessive manner, that being on 17 occasions, 3 more that permitted. Apprentice Huxtable’s license to ride in races was suspended for a period of 7 days to commence midnight 12/12/20 and expire midnight 19/12/20.
 
WAPITI – Over raced early.
 
THE SINNER – Slow to begin. Steadied from the heels of WAPITI near the 1000m. Checked near the 450m off the heels of SMART METEOR which in turn had to checked outwards after  PROFIT contacted the running rail.
 
VINCO – Began awkwardly.
 
SMART METEOR – Slow to begin. Checked and shifted out abruptly near the 450m.
 
BARNEY'S LAW – Raced three wide throughout.
 
 
Race 9: AQWA CONSTRUCTIONS JUST NOW 1300 metres
 
EXHILARATES – Steadied approaching the finish when ALISON OF TUFFY shifted out under pressure.
 
SKATE TO PARIS – Slow to begin. Leaving the 800 steadied from heels.
 
PENNINO – Leaving the 800 steadied from heels.
 
RIVER BIRD – Raced three wide throughout.
 
AKAGE – Slow to begin.
 
THINE IS THE POWER – Began awkwardly. Near the 200m disappointed for a run to the inside of SPIRIT’S Choice.
 
MAOZI – Raced three wide with cover.
 
ALISON OF TUFFY – Underwent a pre-race veterinary examination at the request of its rider and cleared to start. Hung out under pressure approaching the line.
