SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
On the 30th of July at Ipswich in race 4 Miss M Sharpe stable representative for Trainer R Heathcote advised that ROJO BOOM was found to be lame behind its near side knee and will be sent for an immediate spell.

Race 1: Racecourse Village BM78 Handicap 1600 metres

Baanone (NZ) – Bumped on a couple of occasions with Champagne Aunty approaching the 1400m.

The Irons – Laid out under pressure in the straight.

Mountbatten – Bumped on a couple of occasions after the start with Champagne Aunty.

Warset (NZ) – Steadied nearing the 1400m when attempting to gain cover.

Vinasta – Became unbalanced when bumped on the hind quarters by Baanone near the 1300m. Jockey S Lacy, rider of Vinasta, was fined $500 under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for use of the whip on six occasions prior to the 100m, one more than permitted.

Champagne Aunty – Bumped on a couple of occasions after the start with Mountbatten. Bumped on a couple of occasions with Baanone approaching the 1400m. Near the 1000m when racing keenly had to steadied when awkwardly placed on the heels of Great Powers. Raced three wide from the 1000m. Laid in under pressure in the straight.

Whispered – A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the gelding had a small laceration to its off side heel in consistent to being galloped on.

Race 2: Ascot Childcare and Kindy BM78 Handicap 2200 metres

Two Smokin Barrels – Laid out in the early parts of the straight.

Puckish – Jumped away awkwardly.

Autmed – Stewards allowed jockey B El-Issa to ride half a kilo over, due to current Covid 19 restrictions.

Nature Boy (NZ) – Trainer L Selby advised that Nature Boy would be ridden forward. Ridden accordingly. Jockey A Allen when questioned regarding the tactics adopted. It was advised that he was instructing to lead and said the gelding was a one paced horse and was coming back after racing over 3120m. Jockey A Allen also added that Nature Boy was inclined to hang out throughout and despite his efforts on a number of occasions, Nature Boy failed to settle and as such he extended a lead further then he had intended. Thereafter Nature Boy commence to weaken from the 600m and as a result a veterinary examination was undertaken and revealed that the gelding had an ulcer inside its offside cheek.


Race 3: 3 Gallopers Sports Club BM72 Handicap 1400 metres

Take Tea – Slow to begin. Over raced in the early stages.

Luna Mia – Jockey B El-Issa reported that the mare travelled well in running however failed to respond over the concluding stages and a post-race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities.

Indian Dreamer – Slow to begin.

Lashoni – Jockey R Maloney reported that the mare felt awkward in its action and as a result underwent a post-race veterinary examination which revealed no abnormalities.

Samurai – Laid out over the concluding stages.

Cabochon Lil – Near the 300m Cabochon Lil steadied from the heels of Luna Mia which shifted out momentarily.


Race 4: Millers Swim School QTIS Two-Years-Old Handicap 1200 metres
The start was delayed 6 minutes when two runners had to be reshod prior to the start of the race.

Alpine Edge – Alpine Edge had to be reshod on arrival to the barriers after losing an off fore plate.

Finsceal – After becoming fractious in the mounting yard and losing an off-hind plate the gelding had to be reshod. Finsceal then underwent a pre-race veterinary examination and cleared to start.

Seefeld – Slow to begin and reluctant to stride out in the early stages.

Enterprise Pomme – Hung in down the straight proving it difficult to ride out.

Avolonte – A post-race veterinary examination revealed that the filly had a laceration to its off side cannon in consistent to being galloped on.

Race 5: TAB Venue Mode QTIS Three-Years-Old Colts and Geldings
Handicap

Boom Spender – Over raced in the early stages.

Safework – Raced wide throughout.

Gdansk – Raced keenly in the early stages.

Jetty – Restless in the barriers. Momentarily held up rounding the home straight.

Mishani Epic – Slow to begin.

Bundyandcoke – Jockey J Orman reported that the gelding returned with it’s tongue over the bit. Had difficult obtaining clear running in the straight.

Super Gorgeous – Bumped with Hey Big Splenda near the 300m. After the race jockey L Cassidy was examined by the club due to injuring his right knee, was stood down for the remaining of his rides.

Hey Big Splenda – Bumped with Super Gorgeous near the 300m.


Race 6: Sky Racing Class 3 Plate 1800 metres

Tavis Town (NZ) – Raced keenly in the early stages.

Mob Buster – Shortly after the start bumped with Bombay Nights.

Blazing Sunrise – Jockey B El-Issa replaced L Cassidy. Held up for a short distance near to 400m.

Bombay Nights – Shortly after the start bumped with Mob Buster at the start.


Race 7: Mt Franklin Class 6 Handicap 1200 metres

Admund Boy – Bumped on jumping with Vinco.

Vinco – Bumping on jumping with Admund Boy.

Xanthus – Slow to begin.


Race 8: James Squire OPEN Handicap 1400 metres

Scallopini – Raced three wide throughout. Laid out under pressure over the final 200m.

Dissolution – Slow to begin.

Profit – Jockey T Marshall replaced L Cassidy.

Prometheus – Near the 350m steadied when Beaufort Park laid inwards.

Beaufort Park – Bumped on a couple occasion with Intuition near the 200m.

Intuition – Slow to begin. Bumped on a couple occasion with Beaufort Park near the 200m.


Race 9: Country Music Raceday Sep QTIS Three-Years-Old
Fillies Handicap 1300 metres

Bad Barista – Raced three wide throughout.

Lady Banff – Began awkwardly.

Cinderella – Had a tendency to hang out in the straight placing its rider at a disadvantage.

Phantom Court – Approaching the 700m had to ease after becoming awkwardly placed on the heels on Rich Lister when racing keenly.

Bellissimi Amici - A post-race veterinary examination of Bellissimi Amici identified the filly to be lame in near fore fetlock. Trainer R Heathcote was notified that he will be required to provide a Veterinary Clearance prior to the horse racing or trialing again.

Little Miss Pixie – Slow to begin. Underwent a post-race veterinary examination after the rider reported awkward in its action which revealed no abnormalities.

Scissorhands – Jockey R Stewart replaced L Cassidy. Underwent a pre-race examination and was passed clear to race.

Togz - A post-race veterinary examination identified the horse was showing signs of heat stress and thumps.

Bold And Lucy – Stewards allowed jockey B El-Issa to ride half a kilo over, due to current Covid 19 restrictions.
