Due to current Covid restrictions Stewards permitted the following weight variations:

Race 1: MEKKA RACES 26 SEPTEMBER Class 6 Handicap 1835 metres
 
DICK WHITTINGTON (FR) – Change of tactics – more forward if circumstances permit. Ridden accordingly.
 
CHAMPAGNE AUNTY – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
 
Race 2: RACECOURSE VILLAGE BENCHMARK 72 Handicap 2206 metres
 
SCICONIC – Momentarily steadied from heels near the 2000 metres.
 
TOP ORDER – Slow to begin.
 
 RIDGEWOOD DRIVE – Left a rearward trailing position at the 1300 metres, progressed forward to lead the event from the 1000 metres.
 
 
Race 3: MOUNT FRANKLIN Fillies and Mares Class 3 Plate 1200 metres
 
The start of this event was delayed approximately 3 minutes when ARQUERA required farrier attention on arrival behind the barriers.
 
ARQUERA – On arrival at the barriers the near-fore plate was refitted. Bumped rounding the home turn when JUBAI PRIDE shifted out to improve.
 
ELENARA – Began awkwardly.
 
 JUBAI PRIDE – Rounding the home turn bumped with ARQUERA when shifting out to improve.
 
POWER BOOM – Raced keenly in the middle stages. Held up for clear running in the early stages of the home straight.
 
PALASZCZUK (NZ) – Bumped on the hindquarters near the 1000 meters when WICKED WENCH shifted out momentarily. 
 
WICKED WENCH (NZ) – Over-raced in the early and middle stages.
 
 
Race 4: BRC MEMBERSHIP One Metro Win Handicap 1400 metres
 
SVINDAL – Steadied from heels approaching the 1200 metres.
 
THE HAND – Slow to begin.
 
ROYAL SHEEN – Slow to begin.
 
 
Race 5: SKY RACING Colts, Geldings and Entires Class 3 Plate 1200 metres
 
FIFTEEN ROUNDS – Change of tactics – more forward if circumstances permit. Ridden accordingly.
 
CAIRNDOW – Jumped out at the start. Steadied from heels near the 1000 metres when WHOZYADEALER rolled in momentarily.
 
GO WANDJI – After being slow to begin was then bumped and lost ground.

WHOZYADEELER – Bumped on jumping. Over-raced in the early and middle stages.
 
 
Race 6: COUNTRY MUSIC WEEKEND 10-SEPTEMBER QTIS Three-Year-Old Handicap 1400 metres
 
RELEASE THE BEANS – Near the 900 metres raced in restricted room to the inside of JUMBO GOAL. Bumped with ROCKIN’ ARTIE rounding the home turn.
 
FINSCEAL – J Byrne, rider of FINSCEAL, was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) for use of the whip on 7 occasions prior to the 100 metres, 2 more than permitted.
 
ROCKIN' ARTIE – Raced wide in the early stages. Bumped with RELEASE THE BEANS rounding the home turn.

YES WE'RE READY – Bumped and had to be steadied near the 1000 metres. A post-race veterinary examination revealed a minor laceration the inside of the near hind pastern.
 
 
Race 7: XXXX DRY BENCHMARK 78 Handicap 1600 metres
 
PRIORITISE – Began awkwardly and lost ground. Laid in passing the 600 metres and continued to do so before becoming awkwardly placed at the heels of WORD FOR WORD near the 450 metres. Continued to lay in under pressure in the home straight.
 
 AKAGE – Raced three wide in the early stages. Over-raced in the early and middle stages.
 
CABOCHON LIL – Slow to begin.
 
 
Race 8: TAB VENUE MODE No Metro Wins Handicap 1000 metres
 
BOBLEE – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
 MISCHIEF MANAGED – Laid in under pressure in the home straight.
 
SO CLEVER – Slow to begin. Steadied from the heels of MISCHIEF MANAGED near the 600 meters. Momentarily crowded for room to the inside of MISCHIEF MANAGED near the 200 meters and again near the 150 meters.
 
Race 9: SPRING CARNIVAL ON SALE NOW BENCHMARK 90 Handicap 1000 metres
 
PIZONIE – Knuckled on jumping.
 
YOU MAKE ME SMILE – Jumped in abruptly on jumping. When over-racing obliged to steady from the heels of PIZONIE for a short distance approaching the 700 metres.
 
 DESERT MAN – Raced three wide without cover throughout.

HOWWONDERFULLIFEIS – Fractious after being loaded. Began awkwardly and lost ground.
