SUPPLEMENTARY REPORT
Following the IIT staff attending the stables of Mr C. Anderson for a routine stable inspection and treatment records audit, it was recorded that there was an entry in the stable treatment book on Friday morning the 24th of June 2022 for MINKS STAR, that it had received an injection of an antibiotic.
 
After taking evidence from all parties, Stewards could not be satisfied that MINKS STAR had not been treated within the one clear day. Subsequently MINKS STAR was declared a late scratching at 11.09am by order of Stewards (AR254(2)). Swab samples were taken from the filly for analysis.
 
 
GENERAL
Stewards approved the following rider overweights:
R2. 14. T. Berry +0.5kg (=54.5kg)
R3. 5. H. Bowman +0.5kg (=56.5kg)
R9. 3. J. Orman +0.5kg (=56kg)
 
Race 1: THE CONSERVATORY AT TATTERSALL'S Class 3 Handicap 1600 metres
 
FIELD REGIMENT – Jockey J. Collett commented that the gelding had to work hard in the early stages. Underwent a post race veterinary examination which revealed no significant findings.
 
SEA PALLING – Slow to begin. 
 
WHITEWATER – Connections advised that it is their intention for the gelding to be ridden more conservatively from the wide barrier. Ridden accordingly.
 
ESTER’S ROSE – Raced three wide in the early stages.
 
LETHAL WARNING – Had difficulty securing clear running in the home straight until passing the 100m.
 
TRI NATIONS – Began awkwardly. Held up for clear running in the home straight and went to the line without being fully tested.
 
BIRAGUE – Over raced in the early stages. Checked near the 1100m. Jockey B. Thompson, the rider of SEDUCTION QUEEN, was reprimanded under AR131(a) for tightening BOLD PEDRO and in turn onto BIRAGUE.
 
 
Race 2: IMPRESSU PRINT GROUP BENCHMARK 78 Handicap 1200 metres
 
SAFEWORK – Began awkwardly and shifted in.
 
STUCK WITH YOU – Checked near the 500m. After improving to the inside of JOY TOO ALL, was tightened for room when that runner shifted in and away from SUNBORN, which shifted in slightly.
 
MILL ROSSA – Overraced for a short distance passing the 900m.
 
TARA JASMINE – Slow to begin and steadied when tightened for room shortly afterwards. Raced ungenerously after being steadied when placed in restricted room near the 1000m.
 
UNCOMMON JAMES – Shifted out under pressure over the concluding stages.
 
REVENIRE – Bumped heavily at the start and lost ground as a result.
 
 
Race 3: KIIS 97.3FM TATTERSALL'S GOLD CROWN 2150 metres
 
ELUSIVE JEWEL – Slow to begin.
 
TAAFFEITE – Forced wider after passing the 1800m and as a result raced three wide for a short distance before being steadied near the 1600m to obtain cover.
 
TICTOC TICTOC – Inconvenienced shortly after the start.
 
Race 4: TATTERSALL'S CUP 2400 metres
 
HONORABLE SPIRIT – Connections advised that it is their intention for the gelding to be ridden on speed. Began awkwardly and as a result settled midfield.  
 
BONNY EZRA – Shifted wider at the 800m to improve and as a result raced wide from that point onwards.
 
LUNASNIT – A post race veterinary examination revealed that the mare sustained an injury to the near fore tendon. Connections were advised that LUNASNIT will require a veterinary clearance prior to racing again.
 
 
Race 5: 2022 BATTLE OF THE BUSH (FINAL) 1200 metres
 
STAR OF O’REILLY – Inconvenienced and steadied to avoid heels on rounding the first turn. Hampered near the 400m. Jockey R. McMahon could offer no explanation for the geldings’ disappointing performance. A post race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
 
AHWAHNEECHEE – Raced wide with no cover throughout.
 
AMMOUDI BAY – Held up in the early stages of the home straight. Jockey J. Stanley was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) in that he used his whip on 7 occasions prior to the 100m.
 
MOSCINI – Forced wider rounding the first turn. Raced wide for the majority.
 
KEDLESTON – Slow to begin. Raced wide throughout.
 
HIT SNOOZE – Checked when tightened for room approaching the 400m. An inquiry into this matter was opened and adjourned to allow for rider P. Hamblin (rider of AHWAHNEECHEE) who had left the course to ride at another venue.

EXPELLABLE – Hung out rounding the first turn. Raced wide throughout.
 
KAPPY CINO – When the tempo reduced near the 800m improved onto heels and had to be restrained. Hampered near the 400m.
 
JARHEAD – Overraced in the early and middle stages. Jockey E. Bell was reprimanded under AR132(7)(a)(ii) in that she used her whip on 6 occasions prior to the 100m, one more than permitted.  
 
GALAPAGOS – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
SUCH A WHIT – The gelding was found to have bled from both nostrils for the first time. Trainer Joshua Manzelmann was advised that the gelding will be barred from racing for 3 months be required to gallop over 1000m in the presence of a Steward prior to racing again.  
 
FRISCO’S IMAGE – Raced wide throughout.  
 
 
Race 6: EDWARD STREET BRISBANE Three-Year-Old Fillies 1200 metres
 
INVINSIBLE TEARS – Near the 400m, bumped with AVOLONTE. Hung in badly during the early stages of the home straight.
 
TILIANAM – Raced wide throughout.

AVOLONTE – Raced wide throughout.
 
PUTONTHEREDLIGHT – Began awkwardly and lost ground.
 
FEARNOUGHT – Held up in the early stages of the home straight.

FETCH – Raced keenly in the early and middle stages.

BURNING BELL – Began awkwardly after making heavy contact with the barrier partition. Held up in the early stages of the home straight when the filly became awkwardly placed on the heels of FEARNOUGHT.
 
MISS TAMBO – Slow to begin. Shifted in abruptly near the 500m making contact with the running rail and lost ground. Jockey T. Berry reported that the filly felt awkward in its action in the home straight. A post race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
 
 
Race 7: TATTERSALL'S LIFE MEMBERS STAKES 1400 metres
 
VICTORY MOMENTS – Raced wide throughout.
 
METALLICITY – Became unbalanced when tightened for room approaching the 400m between WHISTLING SPIRIT and THELWELL, which shifted out.
 
DARK HARMONY – Overraced in the early stages.
 
WHISTLING SPIRIT – Raced wide without cover.
 
CHAYSE ‘N’ ARTIE – Rider N. Rawiller commented that in his opinion the gelding is better suited to racing over a further distance than today’s event. 
 
TYRESA – Tightened for room on jumping and lost ground.
 
HONEY POT – Raced wide throughout.
 
KAMITORI – Approaching the 600m, placed in restricted room and had to be steadied.
 
ELLIEZ STAR – Slow to begin.
 
Race 8: SKY RACING TATTERSALL'S TIARA 1400 metres
 
SNAPDANCER – Laid out under pressure in the home straight.
 
ANNAVISTO – Jockey R. King commented that the mare raced flat today. A post race veterinary examination revealed no significant findings.
 
AWAY GAME – Steadied when placed in restricted room when leaving the 1000m, then raced wide throughout.
 
NUDGE – Raced wide for the majority.
 
BROOKLYN HUSTLE – Slow to begin.
 
 
ATISHU – Tightened for room shortly after the start and had to be steadied.
 
CHARMMEBABY – Bumped on jumping away, became unbalanced and lost ground. Raced wide without cover.
 
WRITTEN BEAUTY – Overraced in the early stages. Raced wide. Shifted out near the 300m around the heels of AWAY GAME in order to improve, and in doing so, took ATISHU, YAMAZAKI and NUDGE wider on the track.
 
YAMAZAKI – A warning was placed on the mare’s barrier manners after delaying the start. Trainer A. Neasham advised that the mare was likely to be retired.
 
BRING THE RANSOM – Began awkwardly. Tightened for room shortly after the start and had to be steadied.
 
STARTANTES – Began awkwardly. Tightened for room on jumping and lost ground.
 
 
Race 9: EUREKA STUD W.J. HEALY STAKES 1200 metres
 
BLONDEAU – Jockey J. Orman commented that he was unable to obtain clear running from the 250m mark onwards.
 
SHOOTING FOR GOLD – Raced wide throughout.
 
KING OF SPARTA – Overraced in the early stages. Near the 1000m, had to be restrained when GREYWORM shifted in slightly and was prevented from  before being corrected by its rider for a short time when PRIME CANDIDATE shifted in and GREYWORM was awkwardly placed on its heels. Jockey T. Berry commented that the manner in which the horse overraced early had an effect on the horses’ ability to finish the race off. A post race veterinary examination revealed no significant abnormalities.
 
GARIBALDI – Slow to begin. Inside the 100m, altered course to the inside of DOCTOR ZOUS and made contact with SIMPLY FLY.
 
ALPINE EDGE – Raced wide throughout.
 
JUAN DIVA – Raced wide with no cover.
 
MASS DESTRUCTION – Raced wide throughout.
