Rider advised to exercise more care in similar circumstances. AMULETO- Raced 3 wide for the majority of the race. Bumped heavily near the 700 metres. SNIP ‘N’ DRIFT- Slow to begin. Race 5: Emerald Service Centre Emerald Cup Open Handicap- 1615 metres Prior to the declaration of correct weight, an owner (R. Williams) and App L Dodds (FASTNET FLYER) viewed the patrol film and after doing so lodged an objection against the winner, FAB’S COWBOY (App D Graham) for alleged interference over the concluding stages. Stewards established that from the 200 metres, FASTNET FLYER hung out and from this point shifted inwards under pressure. Over the concluding stages, FAB’S COWBOYS shifted out under pressure also, which resulted in both horses making heavy contact immediately prior to the winning post and App Dodds being unbalanced. In the opinion of Stewards the interference was not solely from FAB’S COWBOY, and given the proximity to the winning post and margin of short neck, could not be satisfied that this incident warranted a reversal of placings and dismissed the objection. Both Apprentices were advised to stop riding and straightened their mounts. GLACIER EXPRESS- Stood flat footed as the start was effected and missed the start. Warning would be placed on the gelding. FASTNET FLYER- Raced 3 wide without cover throughout.
