Prior to the declaration of correct weight, App J Brand and Trainer W Baker (REPO ZEST 3rd) viewed the patrol film and lodged an objection against ISA TALA (2nd). After taking evidence from all relevant parties and viewing the patrol films, Stewards found that approaching the 300 metres, ISA TALA was placed on the rail behind the leader. Approaching the home turn, REPO ZEST rolled out and ISA TALA took advantage of the run to its inside. Any contact between these runners would have been minimal and could not be satisfied that this incident had effected the placings. Accordingly, the objection was dismissed and correct weight given.
