Stewards issued Jockey M Gray with a reprimand for failing to entering the race course dressed appropriately.
 
Race 1: Central Palms Motel Class 2 Plate 1000m
 
MARGO MAREE – Began awkwardly.
 
JUSTFLICKINIT – Raced three wide without cover.
 
PINSTRYKE – Steadied and lost ground near the 300 metre mark when tightened by GOLDEN BANK which was forced inwards by CASSAVANCE. Jockey M Haley was advised to exercise greater care in the circumstances.
 
THAT’S THE PLAN – On return to the enclosure was making unusual respiratory noises. A post-race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
Race 2: Ladies & Tradies Tickets on Sale Soon Maiden Plate 1100m
 
MIGHTY MEERKAT and OUR DESERT ROSE were both scratched at 12:00pm when there was no available rider.
 
CLEAR THE DEBT – Dipped at the start.
 
BONNCHELON – Slow into stride.
 
HAMMERFEST – Stewards permitted Jockey M Hart to ride a half kilogram overweight as no other rider was available. Began awkwardly and was slow into stride. Raced wide throughout.
 
MISS SCHIFFER – Raced wide throughout without cover. App. N Seymour was spoken to with regard to using the whip when out of contention.
 
SHOW ME YOURS – Dropped out shortly after the start and failed to be competitive. A post-race veterinary inspection failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
Race 3: Highlands Financial Planning & Insurance Class B Handicap 1200m
 
DIVA MISS was scratched at 12:00pm when there was no available rider.
 
AUTHENTIC SWING – Hampered at the start when DRUMSHOW jumped inwards. Eased from heels near the 800 metres.
 
DRUMSHOW – Jumped inwards at the start and hampered another runner.
 
CAPELLA GIRL – Began awkwardly.
 
A LITTLE WICKED – Jumped outwards at the start. Raced wide around the home turn and in the home straight.
 
PETITE ELLE – Slow into stride and over raced in the early stages. Raced wide throughout with cover.
 
HE’S TERRYFIED – Raced wide without cover.
 
Race 4: Emerald Jockey Club Open Handicap 1200m
 
GREEN EMPIRE – Slow into stride.
 
THANKGODFORFRANC – Slow into stride.
 
MISS ANNA – Held up momentarily near the 150 metres.
 
Race 5: Emerald 100 October 13th BenchMark 60 Handicap 1300m
 
ENEMY OF MAN – Tightened between GOWER and DUDOOMP at the start. Raced three wide without cover throughout. Shifted out near the 100 metres under riding hampering BELORUM for a stride.
 
DUDOOMP – Jumped inwards at the start and hampered another runner.
 
GOWER – Jumped outwards at the start and hampered another runner.
 
BELORUM – Slow into stride. Hampered near the 100 metres when another runner shifted out.
