RACE 1: ENSHAM RESOURCES QTIS MAIDEN PLATE - 1000m
 
DIVINIUS – Underwent a pre race veterinary examination after not starting in the past 12 months and was passed fit to start.
 
KOBY’S STRATERGY – Rider reported that he became concerned with the action of the gelding over the concluding stages. A post race veterinary examination failed to reveal any abnormalities.
 
FALVERA – Became awkwardly placed on the heels of KOBY’S STRATERGY in the vicinity of the 100m and was obliged to shift wider on the track.
 
SUMMER LEA – In the vicinity of the 100m was momentarily inconvenienced by FALVERA which shifted out to improve.
 
ORANGE POP – Stewards permitted Jockey L Dillion to ride ORANGE POP 2.5kg overweight as there was no other available rider. Stood flat footed as the start was affected and was slow to begin.
 
SINEH LABORAE - was a late scratching on veterinary advice at 1.15pm after being found to be lame in the off hind leg. On announcement of correct weight stewards ordered that all monies invested on SINEH LABORAE be refunded with the following deductions to apply to the successful wagers placed prior to 1.15pm.

RACE 2: FENNER DUNLOP CLASS B HANDICAP - 1000m
 
BROOK’S PLEASURE – Was a late scratching on veterinary advice at 8.20am after sustaining a laceration to its off hind leg. Trainer G.Bell was advised a veterinary clearance of fitness would be required prior to next start.
 
LONG STORY SHORT – In the vicinity of the 150m was momentarily inconvenienced by OUR GIRL TAMIYA which shifted out to improve.
 
SIXES – Slow to begin.
 
NOCK WITH YA ELBOW – Rider reported her mount hung out throughout the event.
 
FLOsSY TOP – In the vicinity of the 100m was obliged to steady and became awkwardly placed on the heels of ZORRO FEMININO who shifted out when insufficiently clear. Jockey B Richardson, rider of ZORRO FIMININO, was severely reprimanded and reminded of her obligation to stop and straighten her mount when they shift ground in future.
 
RACE 3: DAVID LOWERY DIESEL REPAIRS BENCHMARK 65 HANDICAP - 1200m
 
THE BAKER – Slow into stride.
 
MONO LAD – Overraced in the early and middle stages and in the vicinity of the 1000m had to be restrained after improving onto the heels of HAYYLER’S TARY.
 
ME MYSELF AND I – When questioned regarding ME MYSELF AND I racing three wide in the lead in today’s event. Apprentice D Graham stated that she was instructed to settle back but after jumping well from an outside barrier, elected take advantage of her early gate speed and race further forward. Apprentice Graham added that she attempted to try and find cover in the vicinity of the 1000m but the field compacted around her and as a result was trapped three wide. She added that even though she was unable to find cover ME MYSELF AND I was able to settle into stride and finish off well. Stewards noted her explanation.
 
HAYYLER’S TARY – Laid out under pressure in the straight. Rider accidently dropped her whip in the vicinity of the 50m.
 
RACE 4: AMPCONTROL  BENCHMARK 50 HANDICAP - 1300m
 
ENEMY OF MAN – Stood flat footed as the start was effected and was slow to begin. Trainer J Bell was advised a warning would be placed on the geldings record. Overraced in the early and middle stages.
 
STYLISH LUCK – Overraced early and middle stages.
 
AMADEO – Raced wide without cover throughout.
 
ZATORIO – Raced three wide without cover throughout the event.
 
SPRING ACTION - Stood flat footed as the start was effected and was slow to begin. Trainer C Austin was advised a warning would be placed on the geldings record. In the vicinity of the 1000m was obliged to steady after improving onto the heels of ROCK’N’ROLL BOBBY.
 
ROCK’N’ROLL BOBBY – Overraced in the early and middle stages.
 
HEATHER JOAN – Raced wide without cover throughout. Overraced in the early and middle stages.
 
 
RACE 5: BENTLEYS (QLD) COUNTRY CUPS CHALLENGE QUALIFIER/ EMERALD 100 OPEN HANDICAP - 1850m
 
LEVEL EIGHT – Laid out under pressure in the straight.
 
MISHANI CENTURION – Momentarily inconvenienced shortly after jumping away.
 
DANE CHEVAL – Shortly after jumping away raced extremely fiercely and had to be restrained on a number of occasions. In the vicinity of the 1700m ran off when making the turn. Trainer R. Williams was advised that DANE CHEVAL would be required to perform tractably in an official barrier trial prior to next start.
 
CALYPSO BAY (NZ) – Was obliged to steady passing the winning post on the first occasion to avoid the heels of DANE CHEVAL which was racing fiercely.
